lol another reason to disable it is to avoide the strange looks people give you when you pick then up and the door locks....the usial response from me is it was the car not me lol. as i have said before, its possible but as for how much effort your willing to go to to make it work is another thing all together. thats no problem at all boostin96.

ok from memory i had it set up so i had an alternate earth going to the demister switch which was on another switch itself so when the switch was activated the demister and the auto locking worked and when it was off nether worked. in the end when i was mucking around with it i couldnt get the 2 circuits sepertated without the use of a couple of replays which i just couldnt be botherd setting up. in the end i just decided to live with the auto locking lol. sorry i cant fill you in on any more information but i really cant remember what else i did.your just going to have to do some testing and work out what needs to be done.

hello! today im fitting a front mount intercooler on my friends R34 for him and im after some pointers,the cooler kit he has will not utilise the stock holes for the piping so im obveiously going to have to cut a hole for the intake pipe to the plenum but what i want to know is has anyone that been able to keep the neo engine over on with the pipe crossing in front of it? also is there anything else i should look out for or need to do etc? i had a read through a few intercooler threads and different ways of mounting them but cant seem to find if anyone has been able to reuse the engine cover. you could also paint the cover in chrome paint...wud give a look like the one pictured above but duno how good it will be lol

not a problem mate. you can get around it.the most simplest way to do it is to run and alternate power supply on a seperate switch to the demister switch in the dash. i managed to get it all working a while ago but i couldnt be botherd with it anymore so just put it all back to normal to do it youl have to test everything again and just work out whats what, once youv done that it should be pritty obveious what ya need to hook up. not a problem mate.yea you will more then likly have to make up an extra bracket for the top to secure into other wise it might move around abit. the bracket that you use for the single din unit and double din unit are the same thing.its just in cars with the single din unit fitted (like mine) you fit a pocket underneath it to fill in the gap.but seems you want to fit a double din unit you would just remove the pocket. if i have time ill take a few pictures of mine tomoz so you can get a better idea of where things go and such.

haha if you searched for the thred about someone else that was telling people to cut this wire i actualy told them not to for this very reason. it has stoped working becuase you cut that wire.the two share the same power wire.cant remember how it works as i tested it a long time ago.but i can tell you 100% if you hook it back up again to where it should be all will be fine. i didnt read much of this thread as i already knew the answer so sorry if its already been answerd for you. its all normal so dont worry.when you turn the wheel when stationary it puts a big load on the engine so it revs a lil more to stop its self from stalling...just like when you have the A/C on,the car sits at a higher idle when thats running too.

ok in picture 3. 1 i belve clips into the factory bracket that the head unit screws into. 2 are the screw holes where the factory bracket for the head unit screws into. in picture 4. 1 are the holes that the bottom half of the plastic surround that goes around the head unit and under the gauge cluster screw into. 2 are the screw holes for the the gear surround. 3 are the head unit bracket holes again. and in the part that you circled it apears that someone has cut off the top part where the head unit bracket is soposed to mount onto and screw into.that im afraide is apart of the dash and cant be replaced unless you replace the whole dash that is. you will need the oridginal head unit bracket to even try to attempt to mount anything back in there,but as i said before there is nothing for the top half of the bracket to screw into any more so the top half will probly just pivot on the bottom mounting and fall through.but get the bracket anyway and give it ago,it may just stay in there well enough.
