  5. Everything I hate about one of my cars is what I love about the other

  7. Thanks to the SAU:NSW dinner at Trackside (which was awesome) I am now $100 poorer...It's a nice shirt though :D

  8. Hell yeah! Usually I need to make my own "award" out of electrical tape
  9. Your daily does better skids than my daily!
  10. With this logic, an early nineties automatic Honda NSX is of a higher quality than a R34 GT-R. The price of a used car is driven by the same thing as everything else, supply and demand. If R34 GT-Rs were as common as R33 GTS-ts I think one could pick one up for no more than $20,000
  11. I used Porche Cup control slicks once. Pretty sure they had more grip than most Toyo tyres
  12. I thought being hungover was required to pass scrutineering
  13. wut?
  14. IMO the worst thing to happen is that they all lose air at the same time and lower the car by the amount of sidewall the spacesavers have. Pic related
  15. The internet; a place for bro's with cool stories!

  16. In my experience it's a bad idea to use a harness on the road anyway. In combination with my dark tints and my low mounted Sparco Sprint V, blind spots get quite large and only get larger if I can't move my body

  18. In my R33 I have a 4 point harness that uses 3 mounting points. I used the following: Front bolt for the OEM seatbelt rail for the right hand side Rear left seat bolt for the left hand side Made a bracket that bolts onto the parcel shelf for the rear mounts I'd take photos when I get home, but home doesn't have internet at the moment Off the top of my head I think CAMS recommends a maximum of a 45deg angle from the horizontal from your shoulders (or something to that effect). Any more than that and the harness will tend to pull you down, puting extra strain on your spine (source: Eric the CAMS scrutineer at the old Oran Park drift days ) This means that your rear mount from the rear seat belt is not ideal... In my opinion, a harness with a OEM seat is far more effective in holding you in place that an aftermarket seat with OEM seat belts
  19. The irony that a phone company wants me to call them if my SIM card has not turned up at home, as I cannot make phone calls from home if said SIM card has not shown up...In other news, I'm looking into the forgotten art of carrier pigeons!

  20. Does anyone here know where I can get a powerchip?
  21. I dislike the idea but mainly for reasons that apply to the small minority that have or have had my circumstances. When I left school I started an electrical apprenticeship for an electrical switchboard manufacturer who deals in commercial and industrial sectors. All shutdowns are done after hours on a Friday or Saturday night between the hours of 8PM and 3AM. Should this law have been around then this would significantly decreased my ability to do overtime, and on around $220 after tax per week anything on top of that was a godsend. I also have family and friends spread out all over NSW. Providing I was on my Ps and this law was in place, a simple drive to Burren Junction from Sydney after leaving work on a Friday has suddenly turned into an overnight trip. All in all, I see this as a poor Band-Aid solution as the P platers that currently drive like numpties around these hours are probably going to have just as much respect for this new rule as any other road rule.
  22. Fantastic... went from just no internet to no phone too... Combined with a lack of sleep today is panning out to be great...

  23. Long day is going to be long...

  24. 369.5 hours of leave accrued...
