  1. I'll be there with a +1 in God's gift to the automotive world... An ADM U13 Bluebird! Don't worry, you will all get a chance to take in this mid 90s hangover Looking forward to some good food and great roads
  2. I'd put my money on extremely old tyres that have hardened up over a long period of temperature cycles and sunlight... just as bad as retreads lol
  3. Dat body roll! Thanks for everyone who turned up, especially those who volunteered their time to run the show
  4. Read this http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/191512-sau-nsw-club-has-a-consult-port-cable-for-use-by-members-only/ It was in the footwell of my R33 when it was flooded so it may not work, but if it does it may save you a few dollars
  5. I can bring along some skid rims with tyres if you like. I don't have a car that uses 114.3 x 5 any more
  6. A few years ago I bought some second have JDM spec "Ohlins" PCV coilovers for a little over $1000 shipped from Malaysia. Worked great for a while, until the pillow balls started knocking. I would have had them rebuilt but my Skyline (un)fortunately was written off by a flood before I had the chance If I had to do it again, I'd spend the money on brand new MCAs or a just a Eibach/Bilstien combo... Something that I know for sure can be rebuilt. Heasmans told me that some JDM Ohlins can't be rebuilt, which is a shame for a set of coilovers that go for around $3000 plus shipping brand new!
  7. Does it count if we get a bunch of guys to lift up the rear end?
  8. Good to hear! I was thinking about getting a V36 after I wrote off my R33, but the non-English headunit has put me off a little. Sounds like it's less of a mind f**k now
  9. I'd be looking at a manifold gasket, cracked manifold and/or loose and/or missing manifold nuts/studs. When I had the same issue I assumed it would be gasket, but once I pulled the turbo off I found missing nuts AND a broken manifold. Also managed to snap a few studs pulling the manifold off! I'm still a little unsure how I managed to crack the standard manifold on a Skyline that had stock standard everything
  10. I bought a longer one from Autobarn, I'm sure you could find then at most auto stores
  11. My guestimation would be between $3k and $8k, depending on transmission, overall condition and how quick you want to sell it While a naturally aspirated sedan may be "rarer", it certainly isn't as in demand as a turbo coupe.
  12. Dude, the watch sold over 2 years ago. I'm sorry to say that you created a new account on this forum for nothing!
  13. I bought a $10 steering wheel puller of fleBay, worked a treat! I used a 2 arm puller on my old R31, worked very well until the pulley slipped out and I dropped it on my driveway... Took a nice chip out of the pulley right where the A/C belt would have gone if I could have been bothered regassing it
  14. It might be tight but my Riceline may be running come late October
  15. I'd get the fronts first, the rear is (slightly...) adjustable as standard. There is no camber adjustment in the front end as standard.
  16. I haven't been drug tested on the road, but I have been at work. The first time it happened I learnt a few things... 1. Codeine has a half life of around 24-48 hours 2. Codeine is an opiate, and because it is an opiate it flags a positive for opiates (eg, morphine, opium, heroin ect) 3. It pays to keep the Nurofen Plus packaging on your person to help build your case that you aren't shooting up during your lunch break
  17. I bought mine from Revolution Racegear Brookvale (had to be ordered in), but I'm sure you can get them elsewhere. What rails you need will depend on what seat you get. Some seats are base mount, some are side mount, some have options for both! I think your best bet would be to figure out what seat you will eventually use and try to find mounts for that particular seat Alternatively, get some GT-R seats. They hold you in better than GTS-t seats and will bolt straight in! EDIT Here is an old photo I found on Facebook, you can almost see the rails... lol
  18. I don't know how, another reason I bought my rails off the shelf I bought the Spacro Sprint V second hand for around $300. Be sure to sit in one first as they are a narrow seat that won't suit the bigger driver! Circa is a term meaning approximately/around, meaning I bought it around 2008 - 2009. I'll see if I can take some photos in the next few days
  19. Basically, he is saying to modify your standard rails to suit the seat you are buying. This certainly would be the cheapest way of doing it... Circa 2008-2009 I purchased off the shelf rails to suit my Sparco Sprint V from Revolution Racegear Brookvale NSW as I wanted to be able to quickly and easily swap the standard seat and the fixed back. It had to be ordered in, but once I had it installing the seat takes less than 10 mins
  20. The N1 water pump fits onto RB25s. I've had one on my car for years. I bought mine as a part of a 100,000km kit from Kudos Motorsports.
  21. Now that you mention it, my Skyline used to pop on decel even with a standard exhaust. Since replacing the manifold with one without a crack it doesn't pop any more!
  22. K&N allegedly do extensive testing on their oil and filters against MAF sensors. If you believe that the filter is the cause of the problem, contact them for an explanation or refund. http://www.knfilters.com/MAF/massair.htm I've had a K&N filter in my R33 for years and I have never had a problem.
  23. I'm inclined to disagree. I have had a K&N panel filter in my R33 for around 7 years and I am yet to have any issues with my AFM, the biggest issue I have is that the filter cleaning solution plays havoc with my skin so I need to wear gloves when cleaning my filter. In this time I have also have plenty of police look at the K&N sticker on my air box and not one has made a comment regarding it. K&N (obviously) stand behind their product and it shows as they appear to have done plenty of testing to show that K&N filter oil does not contaminate AFM sensors which can be read here On the flip side, I think there are very limited performance gains to be had with a K&N (or any aftermarket) filter. I find the K&N item is preferable as I can take it out, clean it, re-oil it and slap it back in without having to go and get a new filter. tl;dr My message to the OP; no filter in existence is going to give you the whistle you are looking for. A pod filter may give you a bit of an induction noise but that's about it. As for a cold air intake, watch this video and make up your own mind
