  1. I have been sent here to defend my R33 My R33 is of teh ghey, but has less aids than the R32 or the R34. At the end of the day, R31s are where it's at
  2. Sounds like you already know where to go, so just go there. Mind if you tell me where this is? I have a few "mates" in Commodores and Falcons that would LOVE to see you drift I have seen it happen a few times. Car throws tyre off track, tyre digs in, car rolls. Most of the time it's a KE70
  3. It's an R32, the ol' RB20 would probably not have enough torque to slip the clutch...
  4. Tyres aren't free mang... I'm a mad pot head / drug dealer by night, mad dorifter by day But seriously, you want to drift at night? Go to Eastern Creek, lay down the cash and do it on the track. That way only you come off worse when you f**k it up
  5. Would love to join you on your late night drifting expeditions but I'm afraid I'm busy most nights smoking joints in my meth lab Now for the serious part of my post
  6. At the previous Texi I don't think you needed a secondary (or tertiary as the case may be) restraint to pass scrutineering. I'm sure an official will confirm shortly. In the event that an extra restraint is required, I have seen many ways that this can be achieved. You can use a belt, a bit of rope or go and make something similar to what I have... As for a fire extinguisher, pretty much any where you can reach from the driver's seat is a good location for it. Mine is located behind the passenger seat Actually, there is a guide on mounting fire extinguishers. It might be specific to R33s, but it will give a rough idea what you can do http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4963976
  7. If you are just getting into track days you can get away with cotton pants and long sleeve shirt paired with a bike helmet that has the silver Australian Standards sticker If you are after something a little moar srs, Revolution Racegear will be able to point you in the right direction
  8. You wouldn't want to go too fast down Pittwater Rd anyway, road quality is so bad you would be risking bouncing your car off the road
  9. They just don't like your skids. My skids got me an award at last texi ("Best thrashing" AKA "Cassbo, please use this award as incentive to maintain your car")
  10. Once upon a time this thread was intelligent... now look what it has degraded to! If I were to put a 13BT into a Z32... would it be engine out or apex seals out?
  11. On the up side it would stop traffic congestion Honestly, IF they made the laws as strict as that, I'd simply modify my driving in order to keep my car from becoming a Nissan Cube. To get enjoyment out of my car I'd take ever opportunity to go to the track or skid pan to go excessively fast and/or rip skids. Come to think of it... that's what I do now... Fortunately here in reality, the likelihood of laws that strict being introduced is very low. The public outcry would be enough to topple the law over should the governing body concerned conjure up the balls to introduce it. My driving record is as tainted as anyone else's, but the difference is that if and when I get caught breaking the law, I accept that I was breaking the law, pay the fine / do the time, learn from my mistake and try not to do it again. At the end of the day it isn't the law enforcer's fault that I broke the law... it was mine.
  12. Fact of the matter is that some dickheads in this world only understand two things. Fear and pain. Unfortunately long gone are the days where beating sense into someone is publicly accepted so fear must be used to get people to pull their heads in. I'm all for crushing someone's car for repeat offences. Education will have little to no effect on someone who doesn't care for the rules in the first place. Sure, they can always just buy anouther car, but it all costs money.
  13. Funnily enough my R33 is almost spot on with the speedo vs GPS test My LOLberty on the other hand is a different story... on my previous tyres had the speedo reading under... then I fitted 225/40 R18s to it instead of the factory specified 215/45 R18s so now it reads even lower! Also makes the already very short 1st gear even shorter

    Gt-r

I found a R32 GT-R with good paint that is within your budget! http://www.biante.com.au/product_19300.htm
  15. I bought a Bosch O2 sensor for my R33 at Autobarn not too long ago. Cost a little over $100 and I had to wait a week for the sensor to come in . Pain in the arse (but possible lol) to replace without the proper tools

You can buy my R33 for $11k. It definitely isn't a GTS25-t It has NEVER been tracked or thrashed. It's in A1 condition. Here is a pic of me taking it on a quiet Sunday drive
  17. $20 including P&H
  18. I don't know about that, yes better tyres mean better corner speed, but it also means you can brake later and harder without locking it all up. I remember when I borowed some full slicks at Wakefield, my brakes copped an absolute pounding... I needed to replace the rotors afterwards due to significant cracks in the standard rotors At the moment I'm of two minds to get coilovers or adjustable suspension bits for moar camber and castor... fortunately the wallet says neither at the moment
  19. I really don't understand how people can complain about the law enforcement and not the law itself... I personally think it's great that this system is being re-introduced, won't affect me much as I drive with the mindset of "if I'm prepared to break the law, I'm prepaired to face the consequences" Luckily I hate facing consequences I do think it's wrong that when speed limits are reviewed they always are decreased, regardless of decreased number of accidents or increased vehicle safety.
  20. Yeah it does!
  21. It's obviously my fault
  22. I'm afraid you are going to have to have alot more than an exhaust if you want to get a minute flat at Wakie A mate of mine was running 1:16s on his first day at Wakefield in his standard 350Z, I'd imagine a V35 will be similar to this. There are heaps of variables to factor in (driver ability, tyres, condition of vehicle, conditions on the day ect) though so it's a very rough guide
  23. Likewise! We have bumped shoulders before, unfortunatly if you pull me out from behind a computer screen I can be kind of standoffish
  24. Another thing to note, I recall 7 news last night saying that there will only be 6 mobile speed cameras initially in operation for the entire state! Yep... I'm feeling the omnipresence
