  1. The spark plugs I buy have a diagram on them to show how tight to tighten them. It's like finger tight plus half a turn or something
  2. You can't get to the spark plugs without removing the coil packs first, so yes it's possible
  3. In my first car (R31) I made the mistake of buying a replacement water pump from a wrecker... it leaked just as much as the one that I intended to replace it with... doing a timing belt / water pump twice in the same weekend is not my idea of a good time! The only good thing that I can take from that experience is that when it was time to do the timing belt on my R33 I had learnt my lesson and did it all at the same time with genuine parts (as well as being able to pull it all apart and put it back together fairly efficiently!) What I didn't learn was how to tension the timing belt correctly, so I'll be doing the whole thing again anyway
  4. Oh, I get it now. My bad. I think this is what he would be after then. Nissan Part No. 84660-22U25 http://jp-carparts.com/nissan/part_detail.php?maker=nissan&type=80&cartype=18&fig=998∂=8466022U25&page=1&img=998=%20001 I swapped locks when I swapped boot lids, I didn't think it was a hard job but I wasn't changing the barrels.
  5. 9 times out of 10 it's a series 1 boot garnish painted with LEDs installed behind. There used to be a guy who did these but I forget their name.
  6. A mate of mine fitted a R33 GTS-t exhaust to a R34 GT-t, all he needed to do was cut around 40mm off and re weld the flange on.
  7. If I remember correctly, the R33 GTS-t exhaust is slightly longer than the R34 GT-t, so it can be made to fit if you cut and re weld it. I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same for GTS to GT
  8. That's right! I found out by accident, I simply forgot to hook it up one day and it worked! Up until that point I just buckled the OEM seatbelt up behind the seat For the passenger side yes, but the driver's side will always chime with no seatbelt
  9. In my R33 I just leave the wiring to the buckle disconnected via the connector under the seat. This may be the same for R32s
  10. I have heard the same bad things, on paper it looks fantastic but I am yet to hear a good review from a RB owner. Besides, fancy fan blades won't fix my clutch unit problem
  11. OEM it is! Thanks guys
  12. Hi all, Does anyone know if there are any performance increases from using a Davies Craig item over OEM? I'm at a point where I need to replace my clutch fan anyway and I figure I'll just spend the extra money on the OEM item if there is no/negligible difference. In other threads I have read that the Davies Craig item is noisier, but noise doesn't really bother me (famous last words) Thanks for your input in advance!
  13. I'm not even surprised that while my Subaru is temporarily off the road that my Skyline's radiator shits itself...So people of Facebook, what radiator should I go with now?

  14. Power delivery. What you lost in peak power you may have gained everywhere else
  15. I asked the same question a few years ago! Apparently that dodgy looking blue electrical tape is OEM too http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/284542-what-is-this-thing-near-my-ecu/
  16. AFAIK, the main idea for water intercooler sprays is to prevent or prolong the time it takes for your intercooler to reach heat saturation, in turn making your car run at or close to peak power for longer. Here is an article explaining it in depth (it's even tested on a R32 GT-R) http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=0527 On the other hand, if one wanted to drop their intake temps below what your intercooler could do by itself, I'd be looking at something like this... http://www.designengineering.com/category/catalog/cryo2-system-components/cryo2-intercooler-sprayer-kit
  17. This. I run Project Mu HC+ pads (a pad that isn't famous for being whisper quiet OR minimal dust) in my Riceline and the only time they "squeeled like a bitch" is when I am bedding them in.
  18. Anyone know of any drop in games this evening? My ice hockey gear needs dusting off!

  19. I just had a customer phone up and enquire about a fascia bracket. He described it as "shaped like a hockey stick"Now I'm trying to imagine the flex rating on a hockey stick made out of 60mm galvanised angle iron

  20. I used a milk bottle cap in my R31. No expense was considered!
  21. The real reason is that GR-RS are more likely to spin bearings and cars with spun bearings aren't likely to rack up kilometres
  22. I can vouch for Heasman. I went there to get a bush moved from a bent control arm to a straight one. Dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon the same day. When I went to pay he didn't accept my money. As long as I live around the area I'll take my cars there for alignments

    How Tight...?

Well, I didn't notice until I got home, so I ended up hammering on a 16mm or a 5/8" socket and loosening it off that way. I haven't been back to that particular tyre fitter in 5 years
