  1. Turn 2 at Wakefield or Oran Park. Nuff said
  2. I have only had 2 types of pads on my R33, OEM Nissan and Project Mu HC+. IMO the HC+ was a huge improvement over the OEM! Pros After warmed up, a lot better initial bite More stable than OEM after numerous flying laps Brand name adds 30kWs Cons Very dusty A bit nosey Eats rotors Don't have wear indicators (unless you count the pad backing plate ) Pads didn't even last me 12 months (I'm a little hard on brakes on the track and I drive my car every day...) On a cold winter morning the first application of the brakes is a little scary At around $650 for all corners it isn't that cost effective I am back to OEM pads at the moment, but am looking at getting another set of HC+ pads soon
  3. Quoted for truth! Here is an example from Yahoo Japan 18" x 8" +40 Front 18" x 9" +35 Rear Estimated total price delivered to my work in Warriewood via sea (assuming it doesn't go any higher than minimum bid...) is $2,633.68 Stronger, lighter and hold their value longer than anything from Tempe EDIT I probably should add that I found these via Import Monster, I am not a import broker
  4. R32 GT-R wheels for the simple fact they say "We produced with Spartan air"
  5. FailBoat locked in for OP GP happy fun times
  6. I believe Project D is holding twilight drifting on the figure 8 track at Eastern Creek on Friday 11/12/09. Not sure you would class it as skid pan but it is a chance to practice ripping skids before texi
  7. Correct me I'm wrong, but I'm sure you have had that Skyline for a while Also, I'm pretty sure I have seen you at West Gosford Maccas once or twice
  8. Fire extinguisher install guide CAMS licence is about $100 a year and is available to any financial member of a CAMS affiliated club (like SAU NSW )
  9. That was a long next day Any who, I took some pics as evil_weevil's ones have stopped working. Figure I might also do a bit of instruction while I'm at it. Step 1. Go to your local Autobarn / Supercheap / Repco / where ever. Take a look at what fire extinguishers they have. You are looking for 3 things 1. Over 0.9 kgs 2. AS1841.5 sticker 3. Pressure still in the "green" 4. Comes with a bracket. Here are some pics of what I mean. I bought my extinguisher for around $30 so I imagine that yours will cost a similar amount. Step 2. Pull the extinguisher out of the box and separate the bracket from the extinguisher. Step 3. Drill the mounting hole furthest from the bracket's latch out to at least 8mm. I drilled mine out to 9mm to give me some margin to play with when I finally mount it. EDIT Be careful when drilling as the drill can grab the thin metal of the bracket and force it out of your hands, usually giving a good gouge in the process. Use a vice or stand on the bracket like I did lol Step 4. Undo the bolt that holds down the passenger side of the rear seat. Step 5. Bolt bracket to rear seat mounting point. Step 6. Put extinguisher into bracket Step 7. Rip skids
  10. M-spec I believe refers to a Nismo tuned R34 GT-R... if you found one of those for $16k I'd be telling you to snap that shit up before someone else does If anything it is a Type M, but either all Series 2 GTS-ts are Type M or none of them are, AFAIK they are all the same unless you are talking about R32s or Series 1 R33s and even then it appears to be only differences to body kit
  11. I would try and stretch for a V35 4 door (yes... Cassbo and his crazy V35 4 door ideas ) Pros P plater legal VQ35DE is more powerful than a RB25DET VQ35DE is better on fuel than a RB25DET Generally in better condition Come come with some pretty cool factory options (dual zone climate control, BOSE sound system, leather seats to mention some) Younger cars Cons Some people think it looks like a Maxima Cheapest ones have CVT which are a little pricey to maintain and epicly expensive if the gearbox were to break. Still doesn't have cruise control If I was on my Ps and had around $20,000 to spend on a car I would probably go for the above Skyline, a naturally aspirated Aristo or a GS300 / IS200. If you can't go performance spec, go luxury spec
  12. Fantastic, another cheap opportunity for my mediocre drifting attempts Paying now
  13. Will look into how to pay when I get home
  14. Finally paid and emailed form. I is teh Lay-zeh
  15. I agree. I haven't seen a DeLorean in the flesh before
  16. There is Marulan (MDTC) a little north of Goulburn, probably a little tight for big power cars unless you intend to have opposite lock for the entire lap but fun none the less I would also like to be posted on dates. It will give me insperation to go get some new rotors and pads for the boat
  17. Do you usually have problems finding holes to put fluids in? Jokes aside, it would probably be best to take it to someone with some kind of certification. That way if they stuff it up it is (hopefully) on their hands
  18. How hard could it be? I guess it has a cap up the top where you put the oil in and a plug down the bottom where the oil comes out
  19. I'm sorry, I take back what I previously said. You are obviously a very level headed member of society that never loses his cool. Seriously mate, calm down. It's hard to see you in a good light when you keep on attacking people. I'll say it again, I lost my licence before on terms I deemed unfair but I accepted it, paid the fine and didn't drive around for 3 months. My 10 min drive to and from work turned into a 40 min bus ride. My weekly fuel expense went from $30 a week to $0 a week and my public transport expenses went from $0 a week to $40 a week. I had to get friends and family to drive me places. Unfortunately, I am not masochistic so I hated the entire experience, but at the end of it all I got back on the road and still have no chip on my shoulder from "the system." My suggestion, take it or leave it, is to do what I did. The world won't stop turning because you can't drive, especially since you work from home. If you feel the need to further your attacks on me, go ahead... but you know what they say about arguing on the internet PS 120 in a 90 zone is a suspension... Driving more than 30 km/h but not more than 45 km/h above the speed limit gets you three months.
  20. Well the first cars I drove around before I got my licence where... 1991 HZJ75 LandCruiser Cab chassis - 4.2L N/A Diesel 2003 HDJ100 LandCruiser Wagon - 4.2L Turbo Diesel Once I got my Ps... 1988 R31 Skyline Wagon - RB30E! 1997 TE Magna - Front wheel drive V6... FAIL! 1991 Liberty GX - Front wheel drive... slightly less fail than Magna 1996 R33 Skyline Coupe - RB25DET! For the sake of the original post, the first car I owned and drove was R/A (R31)
  21. So what you are saying is that you don't need your licence for work and you are having a belly ache because the suspension will be inconvenient? I hate to tell you mate but that is the idea entirely, to make people think before they break the law. To be honest, I'm starting to think the reason you got bumped up to the 6 month suspension (assuming you where in fact going 120km/h in a 90 zone) because you failed the attitude test...
  22. Spotted white M35 in Belrose
  23. No amount of traction control would have helped me at OP
  24. What a nugget Nice buy Tom!
