  1. Apparently Goldzilla thinks the NSW spotted thread is the wrong place for this
  2. Factory front bar has been on my car since the night before Putty Rd cruise I just have an unfair advantage of being able to drag it under my car for a week and still have another front bar good to go
  3. Did anyone else hear that? Sounds like a challenge was laid down
  4. Spotted a white Stagea in Terrey Hills this afternoon
  5. Might have something to do with traffic offences are the easiest to enforce. You aren't very anonymous when you have number plates flagged for speeding where as one could break into a house when no one was home and if careful enough not leave any trace of ever being there aside from a pile of stolen stuff. Honestly, I have been in your position before, licence suspension under circumstances that I deemed unfair. Long story short I decided not to fight it as I was pretty sure it would sink alot of money into a lawyer just to lose any way. As an electrical apprentice at the time as well as living in an area with shit public transport it was difficult to get places without a car but I managed. So what do I suggest? Take everything said in this thread with scepticism and get someone more qualified to give you advice if you are considering fighting this. Otherwise, pay the fine, do your 6 months and when you do get your licence back drive like little Miss Daisy for a while.
  6. Unless it was an R31 Though, if the R31 had a full tank of fuel...
  7. That's a low blow sir, just because I thought a light up facia was some kind of engineering marvel of unexplainable complexity It's true, I haven't done much for modding cars, but I'm pretty stubborn about not taking it to a mechanic! In my R31 I: Replaced clutch master cylinder Replaced power steering pump Replaced water pump Replaced timing belt Replaced fuel pump In my R33 I: Replaced lower control arm Replaced tie rod end Replaced castor rod Replaced front bar Upgraded front and rear swaybars Installed 4 point harnesses Boost control solenoid grounding switch Voided warranty because I couldn't be bothered going to a mechanic every 5,000kms to do something I could easily do myself in an afternoon Please don't mistake this list for me saying "ZOMG I'm teh most bestest mechanic EVAR!" but seriously... if it bolts off and bolts on without much hassle why not do it yourself? As far as I'm concerned I'll take my car to a mechanic when: A. I lack the time B. I lack the ability 3. I lack the tools D. I can't find the fault
  8. Quoted for truth!
  9. +11ty!
  10. I agree, but I require payment first
  11. I have some photos to sift through... it will take me a while
  12. Well said old chap!
  13. Nah, driver's seat and harnesses don't ever leave my car! The rest is true for my car though
  14. My car would so beat yours
  15. Pretty much I think I suggested we stop, but unfortunately the lead car didn't have a CB so we kept on going
  16. I need to protect my identity! I'm pretty much like the Stig, except I can talk and I suck at driving What can I say, I need to protect what little brain cells I have left
  17. To quote someone here... possibly Chubbs... Stone chips are real trophies
  18. See, I knew I'd eventually start a trend
  19. Well said good sir!
  20. ...or crash or get crashed into... Think about it, let's say someone runs a red and T-bones you. The 3rd party will get pinned for neg driving and running a red, you will lose your licence for driving a restricted vehicle. He may get his insurance company to repair his car, his insurance company is going to say you weren't licensed to drive your Skyline and will pay nothing. Your insurance company (and yes you should have one ) will take a similar stance. Aftermath? You are without a licence, without a Skyline (or money to replace it) and a receipt for an insurance policy that has been voided. A rather pricey exercise for someone else's negligence I say! I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I will say this. December isn't that far away, you have lived this long without driving the car so what's another few months?
  21. I agree with this 100%... with a little addition. Don't change a thing for at least few months. Learn the car as it is. That way you can feel for yourself what needs upgrading. For me, the first thing was the driver's seat in my R33... I simply hated it! Now I have a fixed back bucket seat and are looking into some R32 GT-R seats for daily duties (fixed back bucket is awesome but holy shit does your arse get sore after 2 hours!) Other than that, use decent tyres, decent oil and decent brake fluid and you really can't go wrong Plently of places! Eastern Creek Raceway/skidpan Oran Park Raceway/skidpan (for now...) Wakefield Park Marulan Driver Training Centre I'll post up some more info when I get home
  22. Something said... not good...

    Dawdlers

Yes... I'll admit to being one of my many pet hates when it comes to driving I have given up on hitting the horn or flashing lights. Close proximity while driving past seems to get the best results, especially since my front bar is a completely different colour to the rest of the car
