    How Tight...?

I have been using RAYS Al. Nuts for years, always tighten them up to around 90Nm via a torque wrench. I have had an apprentice at a tyre shop try to tighten up one with a rattle gun. Went from a hex to a circle pretty quickly, luckily I have plenty of spares
  2. Give Dannie from GDL Automotive a call. He is based in Warriewood, is honest and reasonably priced. I send my cars over there for anything I can't do myself www.gdlauto.com.au
  3. Weird, shows up fine for me. Photos below
  4. Are the castor rod brackets available?
  5. What GTSBoy said. A few years ago I hit a screw a few days before going to Wakefield, did some research and ended up buying $50 plug kit (which I haven't used since) and fixed it myself. Tyre lasted until it ran out of rubber months later In hindsight I should have just paid a tyre fitter to fix it, but in the end I still did my track day
  6. Just spotted a white M35 roll through Talbingo. Was the last thing I expected to see in a small country town

  8. My experience with RAYS nuts has been different. I got my RAYS nuts with the wheels I currently have second hand around April 2008 and the only issue I have had with them is apprentice mechanics cross threading them or using the wrong size socket on the rattle gun. Otherwise, since equipping them they have gone through many track days and wheel changes without issue! I agree that they are for wank factor though... But the blue nuts on silver/blue wheels looks nice
  9. I run aluminium nuts on my Riceline, so I give them 90-100 Nm, but I think steel nuts should be good for 100-110 Nm.
  10. This. I put a Nismo thermostat in my Riceline, water temp now sits at 60C unless I'm at a track day. I struggle to get 12L/100kms, when I first bought the car I easily got 9.5L/100kms on the highway
  11. I have a series 2 R33 GTS-t, it has OEM keyless entry. Key looks like this I think it also has some kind of receiver behind the door card
  12. Never heard of Tenso, but I have used Import Monster and Jesse Streeter who offer a similar, if not the same service. I would recommend Import Monster or Jesse Streeter to anyone!
  13. I find a spirited track day make my brake pads quieter!
  14. When I broke the turbo in my R33 I found pieces of compressor wheel in my intercooler, doesn't take much imagination to guess how it might get to the engine!
  15. I have a neo turbo on my R33 on standard boost. It is a straight swap with no modifications. Standard ECU handles it fine
  16. I have seen that sticker in Nissan FAST. I'll see if I can dig up a part number when I get home EDIT A little deeper searching on the interwebs...
  17. THAT'S IT! I'll put a variable resistor on the clutch so that the second (and possibly third) throttle body opens when I ride the clutch! Riding the clutch puts less load on the engine and therefore makes more power! It will be like two power gains at once!
  18. OK, so I have a Subaru Liberty with a EZ30 (3L 6 cylinder thing) and I want to increase my powers using the ideas displayed here... but I have a few questions... 1. Do I install a FMIC (ie, what all the cool kids put on their modified WRXs and Liberty GTs) or am I better off getting a TMIC like a standard Liberty/WRX? Will I still need a (drag inducing) bonnet scoop if I choose the later? 2. The standard throttle body is fly by wire. Will my second throttle body need to be the same? Or will I get better results with a RB25 throttle body? As we all know that the equipment made by Nissan in the early '90s MUST be better than something Subaru made 10 years later 3. The standard air intake has a pre air filter resonator which I have removed to make my car sound like it has a pod filter (lolololol). Could I install a throttle body and pod filter here AND a throttle body and intercooler elsewhere, therefore bringing my car up to 3 throttle bodies and two intercoolers?
  19. Providing you have a WC34 Stagea a relativly cheap and good looking option is a pair of front seats out of a R32/R33/R34 GT-R. I believe they bolt straight up! Personally I wouldn't be using a harness on the street anyway. While you are strapped in you can't move your body to look around properly (ie checking blind spots while merging lanes and parking)
