  1. Truth be told I didn't get around to flagging ~Jay~ with the blue 350Z stole my camera while he did the flagging though, also he took some pics during my session as can be seen from the photos of me driving my car To tell the truth, I could have taken more photos but I spent a fair amount of time walking around and talking to people. The next OP day I'll try to get around to more corners for photos
  2. Realistically would you try meeting women in wife beaters and stubbies? Seriously
  3. I think I got roughly 180km/h before hitting the anchors on the straight. I think I need a good tailwind to push me to the speed limiter
  4. Thanks guys To tell the truth I got a couple of people I know who have been into photography longer than me (2 months lol) to pick apart my photos and tell me how they can be better. Lets just say with some changes in the settings and some experience we should hopefully see a bit of an increase in quality
  5. Yep, Bobbeh got it, I would have taken photos of your car if it where in a different session to me Besides, I wouldn't take the camera in the car around the track, it doesn't do video and it weighs heaps! IMO, my favourite photo taken on the day Linky McLink Link
  6. OK, should be fixed now I'm going to bed, leaving my computer on to upload the photos
  7. Can has photos? http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c50/cass...0GP%2020090612/ 11 down, 208 to go...
  8. To prove I actually have photos on the way I shall tease you with one! http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c50/cass...12/IMG_3063.jpg EDIT... Epic photo is epic...
  9. They are on my camera, waiting to be uploaded onto my laptop. Incidentally, my laptop and camera haven't moved from my car since Friday afternoon. Like I said before, I'll post them up some time this week. Want it done faster? I accept money and beer At the very least I have some pics of your car before you hit the track
  10. Track day was awesome! I would like to thank the organisers and Chubbs for stepping into my car to show me some bad habits I had my camera there today and should have some photos up during the week. Hell, I still have photos from my OP GP day on Monday to sort out Also, I have found semis + daily driven for 2 months + weekly Coastie cruise + 3 track days = Semis that aren't quite down the the wear indicators Bed tiem naow
  11. Spotted a R31, 2 R32s, a R34 and a R35 today at Oran Park
  12. I have seen the same silver Audi R8 driving out of Terrey Hills every morning this week. If I see it again I shall declare R8s to be a commoner's car and do not deserve the status of "supercar"
  13. It's a bit sad considering a few weeks ago I didn't need to use my brakes at all at 60 km/h... in heavy rain with tyres that where as good at gripping in the best of conditions as KY jelly... Looks like I'll be on the market for the world's worst handling car so that the 40km/h speed limit seems exciting
  14. I drive my Skyline every day and at the moment I am running Federal 595RS-Rs (the successor of the 595RS semi) on the street. With the recent rain here I can honestly say that they are much the same as a street tyre when it comes to the wet, if not slightly better.
  15. Spotted a black R34 with factory rims at the intersection of Abbott and Old Widsor Rds at around 5:20 pm
  16. I'm interested in lowering lap times as much as anyone else, but on the track I'm primarily there for fun. That is why I don't see an issue with my idea of a stocker GT-R with brakes, seat, harness, suspension and perhaps a cage as a track car. In my head (only in my head ) a standard GT-R will be more reliable than a modded GTS-t of similar performance. Yes... it would seem I would have a very short and uneventful build up thread
  17. In that case, at what point does a road car become a track car? I have thought about building a track car, but sure as hell know I can't afford +100,000 to do it
  18. Why couldn't one get a GT-R, throw some semis, suspension, rotors, pads, seat and harness and leave it like that? Let me get my flame suite before anyone responds
  19. Hmmm... Ends up I'm going to a partay the night before this in Kellyville... +1 for hangover cruise perhaps?
  20. That's weird, Shannons quoted me almost $1000 cheaper than Justcar To bad at the last moment they asked me if I had a garage... which I don't...
  21. I just moved my extinguisher to a different position. I'm just after comments to see if it is a good place for it or not. I used to have it behind the passenger seat, but when I got my Sparco Sprint V and harness, I found that I could no longer reach it without undoing my harness (I'm under the impression that CAMS like you to be able to grab your extinguisher without undoing your seatbelt/harness, if this isn't true I might just move it back ) The extinguisher is held onto a 3mm aluminium plate by a M6 screw into a tapped hole with a nut on the other side and a high tensile M8 bolt going through the aluminium into the side mounting point of the seat. The aluminium plate is held on with two M8 high tensile bolts, one of which holds the extinguisher bracket onto the aluminium plate. In short, I think it will take some force to get it to move Here I can grab the extinguisher without undoing my harness, providing the door is open. I can still access the boot/fuel cap release, again only with the door open lol So yeah... flame away
  22. For supersprints I'd get a GT-R, preferably stock as possible, and slowly build it up in between track days. I'd start with wheels, tyres, brakes and suspension. I wouldn't increase power until I felt I couldn't lower my lap times any more. There is no coincidence why my car is still stock, I have had it for 2 years and in my opinion still don't know how to drive it properly
  23. The original poster seems so upset that we missed that part... oh wait!
  24. When I polished my headlights I started with some 1200 grit wet and dry abrasive paper, moved onto 2000 grit then finished with Maguire's StratchX. Probably spent a good 45 mins per headlight, but 18 months later they only show a slight yellow tinge
