  1. Just got off the phone with EC. They said costs for Saturday private practice are: ARDC members = $85 Non-ARDC members = $120 2% credit card surcharge No limit on cars, sign up/pay on the day I do admit this will probably mean it will be crowded and limit track time, but I don't care. It will be my birthday and I'm going regardless!
  2. No idea, I'll phone up EC tomorrow and ask. The Eastern Creek website doesn't mention different prices for mid week and weekend private practice sessions. When I phone EC tomorrow I'll confirm price. If you have everything that is needed, feel free! Don't worry about no having as much power as the rest of the cars, believe me a stock R33 isn't blisteringly quick around the track, especially with me hitting the speed limiter every lap
  3. It's a car, cars break down. It's not like they are breaking down left, right and centre Spotted a DB6 on Telegraph Rd yesterday, took a pic but camera is in my car and cbf going to get it in the rain
  4. So, who's going? I am! I demand Chubbs bring his new toy out! For those who are interested. Here are some minor details What is needed: CAMS L2S licence Helmet Long sleeve shirt Long pants Enclosed footwear Roadworthy car (ie, secure battery, no leaks, seats bolted in, has a working steering wheel, ect ect) Cost: $120 plus extra $25 for a garage paid on the day. I recommend a garage.

    Dyno Day

    Pretty sure it's a 2 wheel one.
  6. Hmmmmz... Lets list what I'm definitly doing... Wakie on 26th March EC Skidpan on 31st of March EC L2S on 4th April EC on 28th March... tempting but I might give the car a spell after Wakie on the Thursday Wakefield on 9th May... I can see that happening, I definitely want to get a trainer in with me, hopefully I can get my time down into the 1'15" area OP GP on 8th of June... I think I might have something on, unless it has a great bit chunk of importance I'll be there You guys make it hard to save cash you know
  7. You went to the SAU track day last year? That Wakie licence should still be valid I can also vouch for the AUTOsports track days. All I can say is if you have a chance to grab one of the trainers, do it!
  8. +11ty Happy Birthday n shit
  9. Spotted a white Stagea in Terrey Hills on Sunday near the shops.
  10. I have paid but haven't received my new membership card yet. This shouldn't be a problem, right?
  11. 1. All I have done to my R33 is wheels, it has stock everything else, and the few times I have but it on a dyno I have got in between 145.5 rwkW and 157.2 rwkW. I would definitely expect more from a stock R34, much less a slightly modded one. Like you said though, different dynos will read different values, but 139.5 rwkWs does sound low... 2. As far as I know, the stock ECU/turbo/engine will handle 12psi fine. I can't speak from experience because my car is stockzilla 3. I would start by checking your air filter for excessive dirt and your exhaust for large dents. Both of these will choke up the engine, allowing less boost and in turn power. It's also easier and cheaper than taking it to a mechanic for them to find
  12. I didn't mean to say that they where a good tyre because of how long they have lasted me alone. In my opinion they make a good compromise between grip and durability for the price I got them at, which was well under $200 a corner. I plan to pay more for my next set of tyres and lean more towards the grip side of things
  13. On my Volks at the moment are Federal 595SSs, 235/45/17 on the front and 255/40/17 on the rear. Not as good as the Bridgestone Potenzas that came with my car, but at nearly double the cost for Bridgestones for a tyre that wasn't twice as good didn't seem worth it at the time. These tyres have lasted 3 days at Wakefield, one at Eastern Creek and one at Oran Park North plus daily driving and STILL have plenty of meat left. While they aren't the best performing tyre on the market, it isn't the worst and the price is pretty good, especially if you are a SAU NSW member and get a discount Now, about 3 weeks ago I bought some Stagea wheels with some 225/50/16 Nexen N3000s purely for drift rims and rubber. I have been driving on them for the past week and a half and I tell you I wouldn't buy these tyres for anything other than drifting, and that's assuming they can handle drifting for half a day without delaminating to death. Wheel spin in the wet going up a hill in 4th gear in a 145rwkW car to me is a pretty good indicator of this, considering I usually struggle to spin 3rd on my Federals in similar circumstances. In my opinion, if you want a good compromise between price, tyre wear and performance, give Federals a go. As many have stated before, if you spend the money on a high performance car, insurance, rego, fuel, maintenance and (if you are that way inclined) modifications why skimp on tyres, it doesn't make sense.
  14. On my way home from work today I spotted the A&B R33 on Mona Vale Rd, so I guess it has a working gearbox for the moment I also saw a black R34 flash their highbeams at me when I was turning into Terrey Hills
  15. Providing the pod isn't drawing hot air in from around the engine. I would put something around it for two reasons 1. To make it look enclosed 2. To get cooler air from outside the engine bay. As for the exhaust, +1 with what Abo Bob said, a better muffler would be the way to go. Other than that it looks like you have a pretty clean looking R34
  16. I'm pretty sure one of the members (~Jay~) has never owned a Skyline before
  17. I hear Club Blink plays some "Black" music
  18. Here is some pics of these wheels fitted to my white R33, except the ones I have are 17" x 8" +32 and 17" x 9" +40 I bought mine for well over $1000, $900 is a pretty good price people
  19. Zero In fact I have only ever been pulled over 4 times for RBTs, and only after I got my full licence. I say, stock Riceline ftmfw
  20. I hope owner of said plates are simply waiting on ownership of an R35 rather than keeping the plates on a Commo, or selling the plates for 11ty billion dollars when R35s get more common. lol

    Oz Day

Hahaha, I might be there with some mates of mine. I won't be drifting, but depending how their 180SX is going they might be
  22. His warranties where through a separate company, no matter what happens with the place you bought the car from the warranty stands until it expires. Personally, I voided mine because I couldn't be bothered going to a mechanic to do something that I can do lol I went from ELF to Castrol Edge to Royal Purple... all I can say is that on two completely different days and two completely different dyno I got a 12 kW increase with the Royal Purple. Probably as accurate estimation which is the better as flipping a coin
  23. Part cbf, part I think it looks good. That is the hight of where I want the headrests so it doesn't really bother me either way.
  24. Perhaps it was because I wanted full comprehensive but for my R33, series two, with only wheels and small sound system NRMA wanted over $4,500 and didn't ask if my licence had or had not been suspended, which it has. Justcar had all of my details and wanted $2,200. Next time your insurance is up phone Justcar again, I will eat my shoes if NRMA beats the price of any of my insurance
