  1. You mean I can't go in the buff?!?!?! :laughing-smiley-014: Yeah, I know you mean the "neck to wrist to ankle with fully enclosed footwear" I'll see if I can swing a day off then
  2. Jaycar sell CBs and such, if I was buying a cheap one that's where I'd go. For my 21st my parents gave me a Icom IC-41S. It is 5W and has more functions I can poke multiple sticks at, but I use it for work, when I go camping and on cruises... it gets a fair work out. Retails at $399 (which I only just found out, I'm really not worth that much lol) and is apparently very popular in mines and industrial applications. It's also made in Japan, always a plus . Realistically, this is very much overkill for what I need, but it does the job and will last ages, especially since it has a metal shell under the plastic to protect it from any would be epic dropage from great hights/speeds.
  3. For these practice days to you put your name down somewhere or just rock up on the day with L2S+Car+Helmet?
  4. Agree with this too, there is nothing wrong with how the stock wheel looks or feels in my opinion. bumble_bee you should put some deep thought into keeping it legal. While an officer might not pick it up, he will most probably pick up on a FMIC or an exhaust or a pod. He ticks a box to have your car sent to the pits and then the steering wheel will be picked up. Also, I'm pretty sure that wherever you bought the car from will keep some kind of record of what the car did and didn't have when they imported it and sold it. If I had that job I'd be covering my arse pretty well from people like you
  5. For a pink slip you just take your car to a mechanic. The look at it, take it for a drive and 5 mins later you have a bit of paper saying that your car is good to go. Pay your CTP, then pay the RTA and you have rego for another 12 months
  6. I am around 6'1" and use my R33 GTS-t as my daily comfortably. I even on occasion take my car on 500+ km trips in relative comfort, although I will admit after 500 kms its good to get out of the car I have the seat about 3/4 the way back (so when I have my foot full on the clutch my leg is bent about 45 degs) and my seat leans back a little so my arms are bent when I turn the steering wheel as much as I can without moving my hands. I find my set up a good compromise between comfort and controllability. My knees never bash on anything in my car. Neither does my head, even with my helmet on. The only issue I have with my car at the moment has to do with my weight. I weigh around 60 kgs and when I take my car to the track or attack some twisties, I slide all over my stock seats and basically have to brace myself on the door or fire wall or transmission tunnel to stop myself from driving from the passenger seat. Speaking of passenger seats, stock passenger seat isn't that good either, can't get it to lean forward enough for my liking. If I wanted to sit in a recliner I'd go home and fall asleep in front of my TV The back seat is a joke, but after counting the number of doors on my car, I don't really care
  7. I've just put stuff up on OzLiberty, FTOAustralia and No-Limits-Performance... no bites thus far
  8. Is there a date on when OP is closing? I'd like a run before its too late
  9. The diesel probably can carry a lot more than our Ricelines, and not because they have more space. Diesel super low RPM torque ftw!
  10. If your Skyline is near stock it should run no problem on 95 octane. If you're really concerned about what you put in your car, put some octane booster in your car as well as 95, or get a jerry can or two and fuel up before you leave Sydney
  11. Like it has been said, you will be better off either waiting until you get your full licence and buying a turbo, or buying a naturally aspirated and trading it in for a turbo. Car manufacturers don't just strap a turbo on the side of a car to make it go faster. They put bigger brakes on, revised suspension, different ECU, cooling systems ect. While there is nothing stopping you dropping a turbo into a naturally aspirated car, it will probably be cheaper in the long run just to buy the turbo model as the lovely people at Nissan have already done the R&D for you
  12. I'll be there. If I'm not at Chatswood I'll be at Newport
  13. I want to spend Friday evening packing and getting ready for Wakey/Texi as last time I went to Wakey a lot of time was spent after work going "oh shit, what do I need" That and my dad wants to come and watch me be slow around the track. $120 for a night vs a 3 hour drive that you have to do anyway. I'm going to tight option
  14. Spotted a U13 parked in Artarmon
  15. So when are people heading down for this? I'm going to leave Sydney Saturday morning. Would be good to have a "R33 boat flotilla as well as some S13 nugget tag alongs" convoy
  16. LOL, the only traffic I held up was the cars that stopped and helped me out. If I had to choose one bit of road to be opened up for a targa rally hillclimb thingy it would have to be Old Pacific Highway. It does suck though when you're going around a corner at 80km/h only to be suddenly confronted with a cyclist going snail pace around said blind corner
  17. I'm up for this no matter when it is, Texi/long weekend aside
  18. Terrey Hills, about a billion kms from any where but still in Sydney lol I've had my Nokia 6280 with 3 for about 2.5 years, hasn't skipped a beat. Being an electrical apprentice its not like I take a great deal of care with it either. I would say you're just unlucky
  19. +1 on this. Coverage is alright, when you loose 3 coverage it roams on Telstra's network. Annoyingly enough, I live right on the edge of the 3 network and it constantly switches between 3 and Telstra roaming, and seeing as I live in Sydney I would like to have full coverage of my home network instead of roaming half the time. This only ever happens around where I live, pretty much anywhere else I have no complaints. Although if I could, I'd go back to Orange/3 CDMA, get coverage in the middle of buttfcuk nowhere!
  20. I have a white car with a black front bumper. If anyone can let me borrow a silver bonnet or rear bumper I could go into all colour categories! In all seriousness I would put my hand up for this, but having a car with a bumper a completely different colour to the rest of the car wouldn't be very nice for a wedding. If I get it painted before November I'll definitely let you know
  21. I was walking to my car for something and I saw this blue R33. I started looking more closely then I saw the number plates. This is where I went "isn't that...?" Look around the car, familiar wheels, familiar wing. Then I went looking for you. Later on I found out you where never there
  22. Someone tried to start my car while it was running, but I'll say my car was quieter as I have a stock 2.5" exhaust Went from 145.5 kWs to 157.2 kWs. All I changed was the oil I use and type of oil filter :S
  23. Bah! I should change my real name to Cass then. Its what most people call me anyway lol HELL NO!!! I'm not getting into the back seat of that car! So lets do it in the back of Chris' Cassbo, MaTBoY, evil_weevil can has sexuality?
