  1. Its not the burnout, it was the place and time. I thought it was kinda stupid seeing as I saw the same patty wagon and Commodore wagon cop cars pass the place like 6 or so times sinse we got there. Not to mention the general public seeing a Skyline doing said burnout and associates that with every import under the sun. I do admit, it was pretty good, but again, wrong place, wrong time.
  2. I had a great night. Was a shame that I didn't mix with any of you. I just hung with some mates I dragged along that I hadn't seen in a month or two, but I'll get more chances to meet up later I guess Was funny when the Skyline did the massive burn around the corner and one of my mates thought it was Marsss' car. He is not one for paying attention to fine details such as a lack of spoiler and not custom number plates. I got to cut him slack though... once apon a time he mistook an Astra convertable for a S2000... Hope this happens again
  3. Considering that this is all taking place around my area, I'll be showing up for sure. I'll even drive to Chatty to meet up with everyone, then drive past my house on the way to Newport :laughing-smiley-014: Might bring a mate or 2... they haven't replied yet... somehow I feel unloved lol
  4. Saw a red R34 GT-T on the way back from karting. We exchanged nods
  5. Saw a blue R34 GT-R on Mona Vale Road this afternoon
  6. Was told by Tinks once that 40th anniversaries had Nismo front lips, 400R side skirts, GT-R wings and them fancy 40th anniversary badges... welll at least her once does. I've seen them with GT-R front bars and your usual factory side skirts too... Well mine is a 96, so no way in hell a 40th anniversary but it has a grey dash, and grey calipers front and back, and no sunroof. I'd imagine a non-40th anniversary would be similar (ie a 1997+ 40th anniversary).
  7. I'll go, might even bring some mates along Just as long as we don't decide to go to Blink that is...
  8. There is this good pizza place (in my opinion ) in Terrey Hills called Stonehenge. Parking would be an issue if there are heaps of cars, as well as finding a location to eat said pizzas... but the pizza is great. It is also right around the corner from the start of McCarrs Creek road. Even better, its walking distance from where I live so I could ride shotgun and drink and shit . Then again I've never done McCarrs in that direction...
  9. BUMP Purge Control Solenoid is in and the "Check Engine" light no longer comes on. Changed the battery in the alarm remote... and it still doesn't work... alarm is either making noise or disconnected Will try and look into this, but I don't like my luck... Also dropping price to $3250
  10. I'm currently making a battery terminal for my Skyline using nothing but 2 25x125 pieces of 3mm aluminium, a 500mm length of super flexible 25sqrmm cable (stock looks to be around 16sqrmm) and 3 M8x35mm bolts. If it works, I'm posting up pics. If it doesn't, I'm deleting this post and buying a bigger battery with bigger posts Booze + me going West Coast Customs on my car usually means disaster... which reminds me, I'm thirsty...
  11. Agreed... Apart from the fact someone decided to rip my Ps of my car. They where cable tied on even lol. Maybe I should of left a stack beside my car Would have saved them bending up my number plates... Other than that, a good night was had by me
  12. Sorry, not interested with swaping with anything. The reason I want to sell it is because I don't want two cars Good luck on the sale on your Vector though EDIT Will consider swapping with a R33 GT-R though :laughing-smiley-014:
  13. BUMP I tested the battery in the alarm remote today. Battery droped to 0.3 Volts on a 50 ohm load, in simple terms, beyond flat. Bought a new one, going to connect the alarm back to the battery tomorrow
  14. I pass this silver R32 everyday parked out the front of Terrey Hills shops. Plates JAP-32R. Bit of a bash up the side. Anyone on here?
  15. Before you say it, not that kinda grass! Make: Subaru Model: Liberty GX (2WD) Milage: 355,XXX Colour: Metalic Blue Location: Terrey Hills Currently registered? 5th May 2008 Price: $3,250 ONO Contact: 0425 348 072 9944 4720 (only after 5:30pm most nights) cassbo87@hotmail.com PM or reply here Comments / Modifications: Stock except rims, but even they look stock. Will sell the steel rims I bought with the car. Air Conditioning. Central Locking. Cruise Control. Power Windows - Front & Rear. "Premium" Sound System (well thats what Subaru calls it) its a stock tape deck that comes with a 3.5 socket to plug your CD/MP3/MD player into. Back seats fold all the way down so you can sleep in the back. Hill Start Assist. It holds the brakes on while you hold the clutch down Oil changed at 354,XXX kms in July 2008 (Castrol Magnatec 10W-40) Spark plugs changed June 2007 at around 347,XXX kms Front Tyres - Dunlop Daytona 70 - 90% tread Rear Tyres - Goodyear Regatta - 70% tread Spare Tyre - Michelin MXV2 - Pretty much unused Steel Rims - Michelin MXV2 - 40% on one and 50% on the other. The other 2 have no rubber. Known Problems: Needs a new purge controll solenoid (Subaru quoted $120 for one). All this does is open a vent in between the charcoal canister and the throttle body when the ECU decides ideal conditions have been met. Right now it shines a lovely "Check Engine" light in the dash from time to time. FIXED! The gear stick feels sloppy, new boots should fix it (I'm told) I'm looking into doing it this weekend. Mongoose Alarm which is currently disconnected (previous owner said because of flat battery in the remote, I will look into this this week) Changed battery, still doesn't work I originally bought this car as a car in between my first car (R31 Wagon ) and my current car. But now that I have my current car, this car has become redundant. Being a 2.2L boxer 4 its pretty easy on the fuel but still has a little poke to climb hills without changing gears much. For more photos and/or information feel free to contact me from the list of above methods
  16. Either a Gen 1 Liberty RS, or a Gen 3 Liberty B4 with Legacy badges to make it look Jap-spec. If not that, a Supra
  17. Why hate? A 180SX is better than most cars on the road IMO EDIT 4 Stud aside, I like your rims
  18. via McCarrs Creek
  19. Want a nice engine rumble and the electronics of a Japanese car? Buy a Subaru and chuck an exhaust on it buy my Liberty *hint hint* I've been a passenger in a VR 5.0L and I have to say it was pretty boaty compaired to my stock Skyline. If you want a car to leave rubber on the road, get the V8. If moving is your thing, the Skyline does quite well
  20. Oh doesn't it. My driving style dictates that to slow my car down while going down a hill that I push in the clutch, hit the accelerator for a moment, then shove it into a lower gear. Works just fine with a cable driven throttle. Electronic ones don't quite have the response I like... and I don't enjoy compression lock up in a front wheel drive Volkswaggen Caddie... The beverage holder in the R33 seems pretty useless, mainly because I'm always changing gears. Its usually my mobile holder, and it does that pretty dismally too lol Reverse in Euro cars, I want it under 5th or next to 6th, not next to 1st. Wiper/Indicators in Euro cars, wrong way around Anything with over 120kWs and front wheel drive... Magna, 380, Aurion (although, its ment to be pretty good lol), Camry, ect. Torque/under steer... Plus, I want a tail shaft damn it! No dimmer for the dash illumination in my R33. Sure, not needed in the city, but when I go bush and there is wildlife near the road, I want full concentration on the road The fuel consumption thing in BMWs. OMG!! Distracting Wants an on/off button. Over use of plastic in engine bays. Plastic throttle bodies designed for climates around Britan and such. Got 3000rpm idle? Overly powerful power steering. I like to feel some effort.
  21. I don't think it is wise to look at the speedo once you go past the 120km/h mark Car - $16,000.00 Stamp duty - $506.00 Insurance - $3532.00 Alarm/Immobiliser/Turbo Timer - $450 Front Speakers $125 Rear Speakers $120 DIN Pocket $27 NSW-SAU Stuff $60 Total - $20,820 I bought the car on 14th of July 2007 too, its the most money I've spent on anything over any period of time, let alone 3 months Someone should keep tabs on this thread so next time someone asks the question of "How much a Skyline should cost?" we scare them off with all the big numbers
  22. Saw a nice silver wingless R34 with GT-R rims and gold calipers that said Brembo on them out the side of Terrey Hills shops. I see you a few times a week damn it, who are you? lol
  23. If I had $10k to burn I'd sell my GTS-t and get me a GT-R hehe IMO, Fast and Furious movies are like this +1 for cars -267 for story, acting and research. Why the GT-R wasn't the main car in the 2nd one I'll never know. I mean an Eclipse and an Evo? Pfft
  24. What do you mean? I've got Motech exhaust
  25. But seriously, V-TEC = Honda, MIVEC = Mitsubishi and Alloytech = Holden. Some people do mod their cars with variable cam timing don't they?
