i usually just pull the cas out of the car and rotate it by hand, this will keep the pump on, dont fun it flat out without giving it a break. you will then have to retime the engine or use the marks that you should have written on it, however they are not always 100%accurate

i remember sydneykid saying that heat wrapping piping in this style is someone negligible, given the velocity and mass of air moving through the piping when your really on it. where your intake is getting its air from is most important.

definatly agree with what monga has said, however i personally would be inclinded to change to some turbos with steel wheels, if only for reliablity , ceramic dust sucks . perhaps chase down some second hand hi flows, or even get some new 2860s if budget can stretch, but then there is injectors/afms and on and on.
