  2. gday, i changed my clutch fluid, because it was absolute shite, -black neway, bleed the system, started from the master cylinder , then the little junction box near the slave cylinder, then the slave cylinder, i flushed a fair quantity of fluid through it and im pretty sure there are no air bubbles, but ive noticed that the clutch pedel has gone wak, when you put your foot on the clutch you push it down and its compleatly free, up until half way then it starts to move the clutch, im just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what has happend/ive done wrong thanks
  3. fixed it on the day, concluded it was definatly the sensor on the side of the box, blue rtv silicon, and its all fixed, did it whilst doing the fluid.

  8. me is wrong found this, Closed loop means that the ECU looks at inputs such as the front O2 sensor and adjusts the fuel for the ideal stoichiometric ratio for maximum efficiency. The ECU makes a change, looks at the O2 readout, makes a change - looping around. Open loop means that the ECU will ignore most of the sensors and run off the pre-programmed fixed fuel and timing maps. These are very rich, partially for safety. For emissions reasons, the stock ECU will run in closed loop as often as possible. Over a certain load - calculated by air flow - the ECU will go open loop.
