  1. lolz yeh could have worked, i replaced it and had 2 reomove the whole intake system 2 get to it, but the hole in the plug after i hit it out of the block was a few mm wide, big enough 2 cause a big problem
  2. hey everyone, been raped with my car till now, last week i discoverd a rusted slow leaking welsch plug on the left hand side of my block, its the one behind the outlet from the block for a heater hose and next to the outlet for main radiator hose, and looks like an absloute pain in the arse to replace, had anyone had this problem with there r33 before? or am i just unlucky? iv had a good look and as far as i can tell the intake system will have to come off to fix it, and help or advice would be awsome, cheers.
  3. lolz another one who dosnt trust them, i dont mind them as a store, but wouldnt ever have them install something in my car, im gona have a crack at installing it this weekend so ill post as 2 how i go.
  4. cheers for all the advice, ah lol i thought the ecu was in the boot, all makes sence now, and yeh i can inderstand y i has 2 be installed professionaly, after looking into it i prob will get it done professionaly, i just dont really trust autobarn with my car, its very clean, no rattles or vibrations and with my last car they installed an alarm in i had a rattle in my dash i could never fix or find, i payed 715 for the viper alarm, they quoted i think it was 950 installed. if i was goin to get it professionaly installed id want someone who would do it on the spot, so i could make sure nothing in my cars gona get damaged. if anyone knows an onsite installer in melbourne id love the info, cheers.
  5. autobarn hoppers crossing sold it to me, which is in melbourne, im geussing from responses they shouldnt have? lol, and yeh the wires under the dash, just after a rough idea of where to look for the wires ill need to install it, and as far as i know the ecu is in the boot? near the battery? im still learning the skyline way
  6. hey everyone, bought my alarm system today, im gona install it my self, i need some help thou on finding the right wires on my r33 gtst series 2, and the alarm system is a viper 480xv, should be awsome once its installed, i would have been able to do it fine on my mazda 626, but i dont know much about the wireing in my skyline yet, if anyone can help it would be greatly apreciated, cheers.
  7. yeh power rd car sales, picked it up for 17k fully road worthy and registerd, very happy so far, installed a autogauge boost gauge and turbo timer last weekend, and im starting my colection of parts very soon, boost controler first, then fmic, then when im off P's ill get turbo back exuast installed then the fmic and go nutZ :sorcerer:

  9. should have replyed earlyer, i bought the car, its bloody awsome, the racv check came back with basicly nothing wrong apart from a small burn hole on the back seat, and monior pinging, which in driving it for the past 3 weeks i havnt noticed any of, im runing it on 95octane caltex vortex, very very happy with the car, took her down the great ocean road last night, briliant car to drive thru the corners, didnt even have 2 push the gas pedel much, nothing above 3k and quarter throttle, loveing it. eventually when im off my P's i plan to get a fmic, run a little higher boost and get a full turbo back exaust, should make it a little more fun than it already is :laughing-smiley-014: pics of my baby are below
  10. hey just curious if anyone can answer my questions, as far as i know the r33 s2 gtst produce 186kw at the flywheel? my question is what is the maximum safely i could boost my stock turbo to? and what would i need to do to safely do it, eg fmic? what brand boost controller? and what psi do they run stock with no modifications? cheers.
  11. yeh thats what i did with mine for a bit, but they eventually stoped lighting up lol, its all fixed now, i discoverd that the rear defoger one was out, hazzard one was out, the ring aorund the cigarett lighter was out, and the lefthand side of the climate control was out which i knew, looks much better now its all working, i also bought a second hand climate control unit of ebay from the uk last night, as i think mines display isnt working properly either lol, thank god im only havin minor electrical problems and no mechanical problems

  13. i got my r33 a few weeks ago, from a mazda 626 wagon, its a bloody awsome car, love it, only problem is it has a few lights out in the cilmate control unit so only one side can be seenat night and rear defoger button did work for a little, iv taken the globes out, and no one has then even nissan them selfs, they said the golbes are only sond in japan, does anyone have any idea how 2 get them? any help greatly apreciated, cheers.
  14. cheers for all the advice, very helpfull, so far from what iv seen and done with it, it drives absoutaly perfect in every way, body wise its im great nick apart from a few scraches, and yeh lol couldnt see any dirt or anythin in the guards or pannels, good idea thou, for peace of mind im getting it checked out on friday by racv, cost me $220, and yeh if that all goes good there will be anoher r33 on the streets, i cant wait!! :laughing-smiley-014:
  15. hey everyone, my first post on this forum, i curently own and drive a mazda 626 wagon 88' model, but im upgradeing to an r33 series 2, m spec with nismo skirts, manual, black, comes with 18's, i put my deposit down today, test drove it a few weeks ago and i loved everything about it, the questions i have is, in buying a second hand fresh import, what problems are typical? like what should i be looking for on the car that could be wrong, im good with cars, and mechanics so be as technical as you can be, the car is stock apart from having 18's, any advice of sugestions will be greatly apreciated thanks to anyone who can help, cheers.
