Chris Have you had any luck remapping the TV tuner to pick up Aussie Channels? I can pick up sound on Channel 7 but video is just off range. I understand you are gonna have a crack at it. Paul

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
IT Doctor replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
How handy would one of these be? http://www.percyshp.com/index.php?option=c...9&Itemid=38 -
Put me down for a big YES! I spend more time on G35Driver.com because it is easier to find stuff. V Series are completely different to the R Series. It is not that we are snobs or anything but it just make better sense to keep them seperate. Nothing carries over between the two models so why put in the same forums?

Final nail in the coffin for the factory system. See email below from Nissan Japan. Thank you for your email dated May31, 2007, concerning the DVD system. With regard to your concern, we would like to provide you with the following information regarding the navigation system. The English navigation system is available for only a dealer-installed Xanavi DX305 series DVD navigation system. The English navigation is not available for a factory-installed navigation. In addition, we would like to inform you that the Xanavi DX305 series contains only navigation functions. It is not a multi purpose screen which includes audio, CD etc, control functions.@Therefore, your navigation cannot be converted to English. Sincerely, Katsumasa INOUE Assistant Manager Customer Affairs Group

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines

Not the help I was looking for but everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if they only have 17's :laughing-smiley-014: . V35 350GT Wheel type= BSA Wheels AU 213 Wheel diameter = 20'' Wheel width = 8.5 (F) 9.5 ® Wheel offset = +35 (F) +45 ® Tyre size =245/35/20 (F) 275/30/20 ® They fit with no modification, no rubbing on full lock and turning in on driveway. Ride is not harsh conering is better (obviously) rolling diameter is so close to original it doesn't effect speedo or acceleration. Pic's to follow later. -
When the red light comes on the nice Japanese girl hiding in my dash says what must be "time to fill up sir, please look for a petrol station that sells BP Ultimate", could probably go another 50kms or more before running out but might not be able to get 98 RON.

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines

Skyline model = V35 Sedan Wheel diameter = 17" Wheel width = 7" Wheel offset = 45 Tyre size = 215/55/17 Modifications to fit = Non car is stock at the moment. Have you tried to buy 20" wheels in the right width and offset for a skyline or any car for that fact. I am looking to fit Front 20 x 8.5 +35 245/35/20 Rear 20 x 9.5 +45 275/30/20 So far have only found one set but everyone at the office thinks they are ugly. My car is pearl white. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. -
Woohoo! I just filled up today 68 litres 632KM's and a nice Japanese lady on the nav system said I need to fill up. The needle wasn't on empty but the fuel light was on. I figured at that rate and with a 76 litre tank I could have gone to 706 k's before running dry. Beats the crap out of my 4WD. Want to run through a few tanks before doing any mods and check the consumption at each stage.

Nigel You are right about Brian I was at his workshop this morning having a look at the 2005. He has it sussed there is no interference on the screen at all the Nav he out in works a treat. He has worked out how to keep all the other stuff that the JDM unit does as well as install the new nav unit. He is falt out all the time but like you said in Perth no one comes near him as far as this sort of stuff goes. Paul

This link says it all for the English version. http://www.nissan.co.jp/EN/navi.html It also says this; Q.Can I use the English DVD navigation system outside Japan?A.We are afraid not. The vehicle-installed GPS system can operate only within Japan and we do not have applicable maps for usage outside Japan. There is a guy in Burswood, WA doing the VDO and TV conversions, retains the original DVD in the upper glove box to keep all the other controls sweet and mounts the VDO unit in the boot.
