Just spoke to the dealer, they took a deposit in good faith this morning. They estimated $120,000 and the final price has not yet been released, neither have the final specs. The only thing that is known for sure is that we will only get one model and they are hoping to start landing cars early 2008. No official announcements until the official release at the Tokyo motor show.

Is there a possability that you car has been in an accident and required doors to be replaced, a wrecker can supply doors without intrusion bars with no legal obigation to fit them.

Correct me if i have misread your post but the only R32 we are talking about here is the VW Golf R32 3.2 V6 all wheel drive, not the Nissan variant that your post seems to insinuate. The R32 Golf is a very tastefully built car.

Thanks, at this price i think its pretty good value as there seems to be an abundance of GTR's for $30,000+ that are totally stock with unverified kms. This one is clearly an excellent representation of the kms travelled just with a fresh strong engine and clutch.

Was this ever disputed? you have an opportunity to dispute any fine if you believe that you are right. I Hold a SA drivers licence and have since the day i got my license. I worked in Qld for 3 years though remained a permanent resident of SA, i had a car registered in Qld for the same reasons you stated above. I too needed a car in both states and as it is impossible to hold a license in more than one state or territory in Australia then you are in fact able to register multiple vehicles in more than one state. This can be verified at any department of transport in Australia and quashes the fine issued by SAPOL.

$6000 is good value. My rebuild was $9000 as follows CP forged pistons Eagle H Beam rods Tomei Metal head gasket Tomei sump and rocker cover baffles Gates racing Kevlar timing belt ACL Race series bearings Nissan Gasket set Reconditioned head and reset valve clearances All machining, balancing and blueprinting Remove and reinstall, strip and reassemble I personally believe if you are going to keep the car and modify then do the best build you can within you budget.

Updated first post as i forgot to mention that the head was also reconditioned when the rebuild was done. The bottom end was balanced and blueprinted.

He is getting so out of control, how long do we need to wait to get back on a track in SA?
