  1. I recently drove a deregistered vehicle from Melbourne to Adelaide on a permit. It was cheap and easy, all i needed was the vehicle's vin and engine number to get the permit. As your car has been complied and has an Australian compliance plate you now have you 17 digit Australian vin so it should be pretty straight forward. Get onto the Queensland Transport website, permit info should be on there. Alternatively put it on a truck, it is much less of a risk as you dont have to worry about making the journey without insurance. The cost of a flight, fuel and a permit would see majority of the truck transport payed for.
  2. Yeh had the car on the hoist yesterday and checked the block number, its the stock 05u. Oh well it looks good. It has the genuine N1 valley cover also which looks a lot better than stock.
  3. Stock side mount r34 for a bottle of Beam.
  4. I have already mentioned this in another post but can anyone here tell me why my car has a gold valve/cam cover? the rest of the car looks totally stock.
  5. Pics, of coarse. I will take some tomorrow and post them up, i have been too busy driving.
  6. Well i spoke too soon, i picked one up last night that i found in the trader. Its a 11/96 build R33 GTR in showroom condition, this car looks like noone has ever sat inside it. The build quality of the R33 GTR inside and out makes my both my old 34's look cheap and plasticy.
  7. I have done a search and cant find anything. Ther R33 GTR that i have just bought is totally stock standard besides a cat back exhaust, but it does have this Gold Valve cover. The engine bay looks unmodified though as far as i know most R33 GTR's have a black valve/cam cover. The only info i can find is that the N1 engines have a Gold valve cover though i am fairly certain its not an N1. Can anyone help me out?
  8. Well, i ditched both of the orginal cars that i was looking at as there were too many inconsistancies. Last night i bought a 11/96 build R33 GTR non V spec in totally stock showroom condition. Only mod is a cat back exhaust, i bought the car from a young guy who just could not afford to own a GTR and had it sitting in his garage doing nothing. It has a clearly genuine 77,000kms, the interior looks as though noone has ever sat in the car. Body is perfectly straight, paint flawless and mechanically perfect. I really could not ask for more and you do have to pay for a good car.
  9. Should i be worried if they dont show up on fast? The first one shows up on REVS but second one does not as it has not been registered in Australia yet.
  10. Thanks for trying. Shouldn't all nissan VINsshow up?
  11. Hi, i dont want to be a pain and i realise that people are taking their own personal time to do this for others but is there someone who can do this for me today as i have to check these cars out this weekend. Any help will be much appreciated.
  12. I have to agree, the wheel choice could have been better. Another thing with the grey car that concerned me is that it is running HKS 264's on a stock ecu. Does anyone else see this as an issue as i would expect to lean things out a little? Also, i have posted the vins of each car to be fasted as the link to download software is down. Does anybody have the software that can check the vins for me. It would be much appreciated as i am actually checking these cars out this weekend.
  13. Thanks for the info. I've been in two minds about the non vspec car shown as members have suggested the headlights are from a sedan and the steering wheel is series 2. This leads me into thinking it could have had a heavy front on collision at some stage and possibly deployed the airbag.
  14. Hey Guys i am from SA and i am about to purchase a GTR from Melbourne. I would like to have it inspected by a trusted and recommended workshop. I have already read the list of workshops though i would like to know about personal experiences with the workshops. Any help will be much appreciated.
  15. Who in melbourne should i get to check these cars out. Is there anyone with a great rep in for GTR's in Melbourne?
  16. Could someone please run a check for me on the following vin's, i tried to download FAST but the link is down. 6T91MPV97S1ZXV001 6U900BCNR33002560 Thanks for any help in advance.
  17. If you refer to my first post and the time of the edit you will see that i searched within minutes of posting this up. I had been searching beforehand i just had not managed to type the right thing to get a result. Thankyou for your input regarding the differences, any extra information is helpful.
  18. Yeh, i check all the usual places daily, not to mention the unusual. I PMed nuttshunglow and am waiting for a response, do you know where it is advertised?
  19. Clearly that would not be the case and is jst for his own wank value. I asked about the headlights and he replied that he bought i from his mate and that how he bought it. Hmmm. Suss, well i will check it out.
  20. By the way, where can i check up on a vin to make sure its genuine?
  21. Thanks for the help, i will ask about the headlights.
  22. Here are the links to the two cars in question http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...artial&Cr=3 http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...rtial&Cr=10
  23. I absolutely agree that i should buy the vehicle that is in the best condition and i would not do it any other way. So basically the conclusion that we have come to is that being V Spec does not carry any weight to the pricing of a GTR due to it becoming irrellevent once the vehicle is modified anyway. Thanks for the replies.
