  1. yeh the whole piont of the safc is to tweak your stock computer to handle miner mods, the reason im selling is i have moded my car beyond the limit of the stock computer so i bought a pfc ($1600) and no longer need this unit. basiclly a safc is a cheap way of getting more power saftly out of your car.

  5. hey guys i was wondering where im melb i can get some decent cooler pipping made up. It's for my nissan patrol (rb30 straight gas turbo). I want 4inch snorkel pipe into at least 3inch cooler pipping (fmic) and i want it stainless or simalar. anyone know a place that will do it, and any guess on the price? thanx guys.
  6. hey mate, i plan on doing just what your asking. i have two reasons y i want to do it.... colder air, and i plan on going through the stock air box so mr poo poo thinks i have a stock air box. my nissan patrol (rb30 straight gas turbo) has a pod filter on tthe top of the snorkel and i just oil it with dirt bike filter oil to stop the water getting in. go for it mate, its a great idea!
  7. hey mate i have just been through the same shit, you do need to gap down the plugs. but your ECU wont like the new mods at all. in the end i had to get... PFC z32 bigger fuel pump highflow injectors and of corse a tune and im still having boost problems. the morel of the story is, if you mod 1 thing you need to mod the rest!!!
  8. nah i cant hear it leaking or anything. i just tried the compresor trick and it just went straight through so i didnt block somthing off that i should have. the line into the actuator held 60psi but all the other lines held 0psi.
  9. yeh but its losing 6psi, its not likely to be the boost controller. i tried 3 and they all did the exact same thing. i also tried 2 different actuators and still exactly the same results.

  13. yeah i will man, have you got any tips on how? like do u make a silicon joiner with a bike tube velve or is there a better way?
  14. yeah its got a high flow dump/front pipe in one, into a 3.5 inch system.
  15. we took the cat off and drove it so only the dump and front pipe were conected (loud as f**k and run shit) but it still did it. I did put more preload on the actuator. the air compressor cooler piping trick was what i was goona try next, so it looks like thats what i need to do. thanx for the help mate, any other thoughts are VERY welcome as im getting really over this, just spent 5k on my car and its no better then it was lol!

  17. Hey guy's, im having major troubles with boost. I upgraded a bunch of stuff... PFC high flowed turbo FMIC high flow injectors fuel pump all the usual stuff. on the dyno when tuning it gets to 15psi then drops way down to 9psi. only got 160rwkw!! the things we have checked... sent turbo off to be tested, was ok (including actuator) tried 3 different boost controlers clamped the BOV line when on the dyno thats all i can think of but we have been trying to work it out for a few months now. before the upgrades it was holding 12psi fine. any ideas would be muchly apriciated, thanx guys

  22. wow this topic caused quite a stir lol. the only quesiton i have about this topic is, why the fu*K is it illeagal to have a atmo bov. i mean really, what harm does a bit of air make, and if some dick cheese gets scared of the sound and crashes, they shouldnt be on the road in the first place! i just bot a turbo'ed patrol as my second car and it has a atmo bov, within 2 weeks i have to go to epa, its not worth the trouble so im going to take it off, i just wish ppl didnt care about that sort of stuff so much! thats my opinion, like it or hate it i dont care.
