  1. Yeah thats the cat light. Strange that its lighting up not being plugged in. Mine was tucked under the exhaust shield for 3 years and no light. Now its been completely removed and thrown in a bin somewhere with still no issues. Maybe the wiring has been damaged?
  2. He could be right, but the 180' bend is actually where it enters the cooler hehe.
  3. wouldnt there still be oil in it if its 2nd hand? I would have thought the rule would be for brand new turbos. When you turn the car off, im guessing most of the oild drains back then. Whats the difference?
  4. But then, going by your comments, they shouldnt believe what your saying either because its on the internet too. hehehe. Is it possible that there was some uber new nylon composite created that does work? They had to change ball bearings to work in turbos because normal ones would explode under the conditions too. Everything i have ever read, bar what you have just said, has stated that the stock compressor is a nylon composite thingy too. Not that i care.. i threw mine away already
  5. Ok, well i had my car tuned today. It was beginning to max out Nismo 555cc injectors interestingly enough. It readed 90% IDC @ 6000rpm making 295rwkw. Backed things off to 280 and left it there. So i guess you could say that the blitz turnflow wasnt holding it back any
  6. They Def did make them, i think it was the GT-V that came in Bayside blue. I remember researching it myself years ago, and from what i gathered, they actually released the bayside blue in the GT-V long before the GT-T got it. I think it was basically a GT-T, minus the turbo engine. It got everything else the GTT got.
  7. I thought the same thing when i put mine in. Hasnt been an issue mind you. Out of sight, out of mind Heres hoping one day it doesnt come back to mind when i lean on the brakes and the pedal meets the floor.
  8. Very nice! Something i need to do again too. Been on and off so many times getting yucky seepage. Luckily theres a Nissan dealer in NZ that sells an entire gasket set, including the rubber bolt washers, E+I cover gasket and half moon seals for $60. Pretty good i reckon.
  9. Rich & Retard. Do a quick search. There will be a zillion topics with info on it.
  10. I believe this would be what is commonly known as RnR
  11. I dont disagree with you at all. My OEM ones were brilliant too. Worked at 1.1 with the stock turbo for the time it was on there, then started to fail so had to 'upgrade'. OEM were too expensive then.
  12. Depends on the boost level though. My Splitfires were getting a little bit upset at 1.1. So went back to .8.
  13. Ill tell you on Monday night. Tuning my R33 with the Blitz (non shiny) and GT30. I highly doubt it will be a problem.
  14. I forgot i even posted in this thread, This is a complete lie. I bought splitfires, because they were only $100 more than Yellowjackets when i needed them lol
  15. I was under the impression that whatever rating your actuator is, is the lowest possible boost you can run. Apart from throttle variations that is.
  16. Yeah the pumps just push into a rubber seal. So either buy a new one, or get one from a wrecker. Also, sometimes polish builds up and hardens inside the squirter on the bonnet. Stick a pin in there to clear it out. But as far as i know, you can actually move the squirter around, so test it to make sure it still squirts the window and not the dude behind you haha
  17. At a guess, one of the filaments has blown. Just go and buy another dual filament bulb and replace it and it should work fine.
  18. A member on here has run 17psi with a GT3076 on an unopened RB25 for 100,000km. So if your tune is good, and you treat it right, no reason why it wont last.
  19. I never use mine as a turbo cooldown thing anyway. Times i use it is when i stop at a corner dairy and grab a V, or after flogging it round the track or the likes. Other than that i just turn it off.
  20. haha yeah i know you dont have VCT (GTRs should though ) Just seems like its far to low even for a 33. Meh. Spose if the tunes correct for it its fine.
  21. De-catting it wouldnt make the rear muffler rattle. Id say the baffling inside it has come loose for whatever reason. If you turn the car off and give the muffler a kick/shake does it rattle then?
  22. Im pretty sure those Apexi turbo timers take a guesstimate from the o2 feedback. Maybe it thinks while your idling your giving it the beans. Mines a bit odd too (not apexi) cruising at 100km/h it climbs pretty steadily to about 2mins aswell. I think its rev based though. Derp.
  23. You seem to quote your cars running seriously low temps all the time. I know the R31 runs cooler for everyone, but shit, in a stock RB25 VCT doesnt even work till 70C. Why do yours run so cold? Do you run low temp thermostats? Or any thermostat at all? Mine sits at 84-85C day in day out regardless of the temps outside.
  24. Every weekend
