  1. Im using the Exteme in my R33 with GT3076, approx 300odd rwkw. Beautiful clutch. Feels like stock apart from a harder bite when you want it. Personally dont like the Exceddy equivalent. Heavy pedal. Lots more aggressive. But it would probly be better for drift and higher power applications.
  2. I went to the states for 4 months in 2008 and 2009, just took the terminals off the battery. Put them back on, and it started as per normal.
  3. For $99 i reckon its worth it. But if you dont, that drain bung isnt as difficult to get to as you might think. Heck, if your car doesnt have ABS you can get it from the top with a couple of long extensions and a bendy thingy I found this out by accidentally removing it.. (yes that sounds odd) I was re-installing a stock turbo on an R33 that had a GT30 on it. I didnt look close enough and assumed it was a blank and the GT30 had been plumbed some other way. lol
  4. I highly doubt they will get quieter. You have already done alot of Km. If anything they will just get worse as they glaze more. Pull them out and give them a scrub up with some rough sandpaper. What i do is put the paper on a flat surface and rub the pad over it. Then go try re-bed them in. To the point that they are smoking and not working if possible Seems to work for me.
  5. You prolly dont wanna hear it, but the best way to do it, is to remove it and sell it to someone else.
  6. Hmm, Is that a GTR? Cos im pretty sure that on both the front and the rear of mine (R33 GTSt) the line went into the caliper itself. That, and the front hose on mine was FAR longer than that. But the rears were that short.
  7. You just need to modify it a little bit to fit. There is a thread on here where someone did just that. Id search for it, but i pwnd my bandwidth and everything takes friggin ages. From memory, he cut the section of the snorkel that fouled the intercooler piping out, and plastic welded a piece back in to clear it.
  8. No i didnt. It was a catchcan bought from RIPS. And i was under the impression that they knew how it worked After researching on here, a member asked to take a look at it and suggested re-instating the pcv. And it solved it. Works great now. And have since had the plenum apart and its dry as a bone, and silver. So in my case, theres bugger all vapor at idle. So not concerned. But, just a question. The PCV valve isnt magically connected to the block. its Just a hole in the cam cover. So whats would cause it? Is it just because there is no vaccum to pull the pressure out at idle? And as i thought,m pressure equalization takes the easiest path. And im f**ked if that would be past the rings as apposed to down a smooth pipe to atmosphere?
  9. This is assuming your running an AFM.. Mine is Vented atmo, each breather running into a large can with a filter thingy on it. I still run the PCV, as when i had it blocked, i was getting blowby at high vaccum, and taking off from lights. Unsure why, im guessing at idle it wont push it out the breathers?
  10. Do you guys use the supplied heatsink that the Innovate comes with? (well both of mine have had one) Or just weld in a bung like the OEM one? If you use this, then the sensor itself isnt in direct flow of the exhausts gasses. The tip of it barely enters the flow. Just enough to give it a sniff as it flows past. lol. Im pretty sure they give you this for that exact reason. Im like someone else that mentioned it earlier, welded it into the de-cat pipe as its conveniently located near the cat wire grommet. And a good distance downstream. I figured seeing as i do track my car a bit it was the better place for it. Im not overly fussed with re-calibrating it, do it each time i change the oil and plugs. Takes 2 mins.
  11. The valve new from Nissan, and the hose, get one from a wrecker.
  12. ^^ This. Mate started it. Gave up after a few mins and took it to a shop. Im under the impression the plenum needs to come off :s but that sounds mad.
  13. I dont have a GTR thats just what my mate said about his R33 GTR. hahaha.
  14. I think its pretty common in GTR's. I heard its dust from the front diff clutches that drys it out. Also.. quite a tricky job! Good luck!
  15. Is it possible the hangers got bent in transit, or while being levered off the previous car? They arent hard to bend Also, in the picture you have there of the exhaust under the car.. is it bolted up at the other end? It looks to me like it will fit fine. but if pushing it to the right to clear the swaybars/diff makes the front section not line up at the flange then buggered if i know. One other thing. it could also be possible that the exhaust was made to fit a GTR with a custom front pipe set up that put the flange in a different location to stock. If it came off a GTR, then it should fit. So this is the only other explanation i can think of.
  16. What HKS ones are you using on the GTR/GTS? A friend had an HKS Hi Power Silent on his GTSt, bought an R33 GTR, and it didnt fit. Had to buy a PEII.
  17. Possible you might need to adjust the idle perhaps? Now with all the gunk gone it might be letting too much air through on cold startup compared to what it was before.
  18. Almost perfect! Now all he needs to do is come to realization that HKS filters might as well not even be there they are so bad.. haha.
  19. I replaced mine from Nissan, it was $6. Worth a shot. Then its genuine, and know it will be tight.
  20. Trust PEII will solve your problems Im currently looking into the same thing myself. Have an HKS hi power that is far too loud with a 3076, so have borrowed a Trust PEII for the time being. Am making up a new center section consisting of a large 3.5inch straight through oval muffler, that i will run on the street, and replace it with the HKS center section on the track. Without intentionally hijacking the thread, do any of you aussies know about therse mufflers? M&H Muffler. The only 3.5inch i can find
  21. I just swapped out my HKS Hi-Power Silent (lol) exhaust for a Trust PEII, Reason being, getting a cert, and its 103db. Needs to be 95. The HKS is 3.75", and the Trust is 3". Since the Trust was put on, the cars running richer at idle and stalling occasionally. And is noticeably slower. So id say a light touch up on the tune will help.
  22. Did you consider unplugging your wideband from the dump pipe and putting the tuners one in there and seeing what you got? (sorry if you did, i skimmed a bit of this)
  23. If it has a 5000k warranty then i dont see why you'd be worried. So long as the running in has been done well. Id be more confident in buying a rebuild motor that had already done a few 1000 km and had a hammering. At least that way you can be relatively confident its holding together haha.
  24. This! Seems to me that most of the peoples cars i know with short shifters have rooted syncros. lol. Im the same, i can be a little brutal at times with mine, but its stock shifter and seems to be pretty tight still.
