  1. Apparently its not recommended. I just installed my lockbar yesterday. Easiest job in the world! Took 40 mins and a can of Dr. Pepper. Even better so because i did it on an allignment hoist with the sliding bits for the wheels hehe. Piece of cake and was only out 1mm on the rear right. All good now. I was thinking about pulling the loom up through the hole and putting a new bung in the hole. Havnt actually looked to where it comes into the cabin tho, im assuming by the HICAS ecu. Dont like the taped up cable tied shit. tacky!

I have just installed a R.I.P.S catch can washer bottle combo in my R33, and the setup requires the exhaust breather -> intake to be blocked off, and the PCV blocked, and just have the exhaust and intake breathers routed to the catch can. I decided to try keep it looking factory(ish), so had a double ended bung made up out of alloy tube to block off the exhaust breather. So apon cutting the breather hose open to put the bung into, i came to a solid bit of metal.. i thought maybe they were reinforced hoses, but decided just to pull them apart, and out dropped this little metal restrictor. The hose is just for size reference. Im guessing it maybe slows down the airflow and helps the oil vapors dribble back down into the cam cover instead of going straight into the intake? This is where it came from, and i replaced it with the bung. And ideas?
  3. You could also argue that if it was better to do it how you think, that the Japanese engineers are stupid They dont just design and build stuff for the hell of it. for RB25 you cant go wrong with 3" turbo back yo.
  4. What he said. If your not planning on modding it any further then a SAFC could be a go-er. Should get a bit more power and good midrange, and lets not forget economy Im pretty much at the performance mods limit on my R33 with the stock turbo. And im not planning on going any further unless she blows. So i just bought an SAFC2 and will get that tuned.

  7. This is what i thought. Im pretty sure the one im looking at is locked from a tuner, because its 3rd hand. I asked him to hook it up to 12v and unlock it, but just ignores me, so goes to show he has no idea and ill end up with a locked, un-useable SAFC. Anyone here got one FS?

  11. Noone? Is there a "master" reset button that can be pressed on the case? Can someone with one have a look? Still a bit weary of purchasing a locked unit..

  14. Would the rubber piping start to flex under that much pressure? Bulge a bit? You would be surprised how much the turbo heat will transfer. Under full boost/load it doesnt take long for the ex. manifold to start to glow, thus would the turbine ex. housing, and i could bet you that a whole sheetload of that would transfer into the compressor housing. Or intercoolers wouldnt be needed right?
  15. Dont ya just love this site? Glad it was fixed. I absolutely hate oil in my IC... been lucky so far but still running the OEM setup. Havnt yet organized a catch can! Instead of starting a new topic, if you check back here, do you recommend running one if the car is tracked? I dont get any oil smoke without it.

  19. Rain doesnt hurt pods. They are "waterproof". 2 foot deep puddles hurt pods. Oh, and good writeup. I thought of doing this myself. But the whole reason i went Blitz LM was to avoid cutting holes for intercooler pipes. Might as well just get a normal FMIC and use the stock hole! ha. Hence why im back to stock airbox

  21. Ever thought of a different steering wheel that has an airbag? Some of them are nice, the 98 Spec Integra Type R Momo Airbag wheel looks aaite... Is it possible? What about a GTR one or are they the same?
  22. There was a police chase video on.. i think it was Motorway Patrol over here in NZ. A big Island boy nicked a 25t Coupe, cops couldnt catch him and attempted a roadblock/spike. When he got to the roadblock he got out and just lay on the ground lol. "Ohh i tought it was a choice lookin caa eh bro so tought it take it for a spin eh!" I LULZD when he said that!!!
  23. In that case, ignore my n00bness But in saying that, i find the best way to figure shit out is buy going backwards if you know what i mean. You add something and get a problem, try eliminate it easily, failing, then maybe try replacing some stock parts you know?
  24. A bleed valve is going to make it higher.. its bleeding air so the actuator doesnt get the "10psi" doesnt it? So that wont help Maybe the actuator rod isnt long enough on the HKS turbo? So its only opening half way or not quote fully? I thought the HKS turbos had their own actuator? Like these ones EDIT: i just re-read it. You have the split dump. I had that too, and with the RB20 actuator on my RB25 it would creep to 14-15psi. I know for sure it wasnt catching either as i had it modded so it wouldnt. It sucks, but put a stock dump pipe on and try it. As soon as i put my OEM dump pipe + HKS front on it dropped to a perfect 10psi all day every day. SAU will love this! This is my theory... What you think?
