  1. Im gonna x2 that. I had the problem too, but i wasnt spiking that high, more like 11-12psi. It ended up being the dump pipe so got it "enhanced". I set my EL2 Meter to .08bar (12ish-psi??) warning, and on the track, on the back straight at full throttle it blinked once or twice at the top of 3rd and top of 4th. But did drop back pretty quick. Wondering if it is still the wastegate/dump pipe. (JJR Split POS) Will try an R32 Actuator too.. might help. You could try that too?
  2. *shrugs* Have a search for the serial number. I dunno if ricers go to the extent of stickers on the ECU.. you never know. Could have something in there.
  3. Maybe spray some more on it and let it soak a bit. Best way to get them out is to "shock" it. But the spanner over it, and instead of trying to muscle it out, put some force on it and bang it with a rubber hammer, or your fist
  4. Turbo. If your set on NA, sell the Skyline and get a Honda. Cant beat it for NA Track work.
  5. Yeah thats what im saying. I Just think the front bar i have isnt too well designed for airflow. So FMIC i went
  6. Id have to agree, even tho there is dyno proof they work, i know that in mine with the usual bolt ons, the R34 sidemount i had was too hot to touch after a good spirited drive. I dont think there is sufficient airflow on my front bar, could be different on the normal S2 Front end tho. I just got back from a trackday last night. Dam impressed with the Blitz. The "hot" side of the FMIC was cool to touch, and the "cold" side was ICE cold. Must be doing something right. And the J-Pipe was also cool-warm after coming back in from a good 5 laps of hard driving.
  7. These are the only install photos i took. After a bit of frustration i stopped taking snaps Bumper Iron: Unfortunately i didnt get any photos of the trimming of the bumper itself, as it was pissing me off , a fair whack of it is cut away, like, nearly all of it. It takes a long time with alot of test fitting, marking, cutting to get it sitting perfect. And you also need to severely mod the indicator on this style OEM bumper too. Theres barely anything left of it, and the bit of the bumper it slots into was also cut out to clear the intercooler pipe. Cutting the plastic holder, pulling the brass connectors out etc... you will figure it out!
  8. My 1st attempt... With Kingstar k106 tires... average as you can see. But still not bad
  9. Lith's intercooler is just a standard "over the radiator" type. This is mine: Its a Blitz LM Kit. Fantastic little piece. Cant be happier. Note i screwed up the cut a tiny bit on the passenger side, thats why you can see the pipe Had a slightly bent bumper iron that i didnt know about when fitting. All fixed now, but after i had trimmed! But, if you dont screw it up ( ) then it looks great!
  10. Just Jap? You still need to cut the reo-bar to get the JJR one to fit. I Dont think there is many front mount intercoolers that dont require trimming of that reo....
  11. Its def a wiring issue. Sometimes caused my insufficient earthing, or, as mentioned, dirty contacts, and there could be a slight short somewhere in the indicator stalk.
  12. So your saying you dont want to cut the reo at all? You could go for the ARC sidemount, or maybe an R34 item?
  13. I used that pod on my Integra Type R, and it was located inside the bumper. SO got the full brunt of dirt water and dust. Brilliant pod! Am on Apex'i now. Cant be happier. Its a cute little thing tho, compared to some of the other monsters. Im going to clean mine this week, but not with water, probly with the compressor from the inside out. Unless someone thinks this is a bad idea.
  14. I think the wind has gone from the sails. Lets let this thread die. As the SAU community has failed to bring a good argument to light. bar " Hondas Suck". And your right Kinks, the more people that drive hondas, the less chance of some Skyline N00b attempting to drift his mad fast RB20det on a street and killing a real enthusiast.
  15. You cant really compare a Built Spoon motor to a standard or bolt ons + boost RB tho can you? Oh and just for reference, the Spoon engines are a STOCK B18CR, that is blueprinted and balanced to perfection and possibly a Spoon headgasket and oil cap. Thats it. Pretty sure Lith is saying that in comparison, a Honda engine with bolt ons will take 100x more abuse than an RB with bolt ons, especially at constant high rpm.
  16. Clearly not. When your talking big names they arent going to sell you busshit are they? This is a case of cheap chinese crap. I tried it, FAIL. But with a little mod its perfect. And it cost far far less including the modding than an HKS item. Dont get me wrong, i love buying the expensive stuff for ease of installation and hassle free driving. But sometimes its not worth it. IE an HKS Front pipe (to occompany my HKS Exhaust) in stainless it clears the $400 mark. Its half the price of the whole exhaust! And its just a pipe!
  17. Had the same problem with the same dump pipe. Just got it back from being modded, and as most others, it was fouling and only opening 3/4 the way, causing the creep. Had my mate pull it off and play with it. All fine now. I think he cut out the seperator and re-made it. All works perfectly now.
  18. You need to go in an NSX-R then. Quicker around a track, and from a standing 1/4 than an R34 GTR.
  19. It was designed to be firm riding and noisy. It doesnt come with sound deadening from the factory. And has track adequate suspention. Lets not forget it only weighs 1080kg in stock form. Its aimed at particular markets, as is every model of car. I found that my R33 was nearly as firm riding with stock suspention too. And you'l find that if you drive it properly, then it doesnt drop out of VTEC. Again, it is designed not to if you know how to drive it. I personally never had a problem overtaking in mine. You just need to learn how it works. Nearly every car you need to accelerate up behind the car infront before you pull out. Including VTEC! Not every car has immediate power to just pull out and go. Its common sence. I dont know why you'd want to drive around at 7000rpm in the city anyway.. when the speed limits 50k and you can go 20k over in 1st gear? I think your pulling excuses to knock one of the best FWD cars ever produced. You just cant compare this type of car with Skylines. Im not getting shitty at you, as each to their own, as my dream car is a GTR and always has been. But i in no way think that because a Honda isnt a Skyline that it is shit.
  20. LOL too true, and when done correctly, holy shit do they fly. A good mate ( its always a mate isnt it??) has a B18c Turbo EG Civic making 317fwkw, it does 11's, and is regularly tracked. Its a force for sure.
  21. Wow. I didnt expect this kind of rubbish from this forum. Its amazing how cars get bashed because of what a minority of people do/say. Ask most people what they think of R32s (or just Skyline in general bar GTR's) , and they think 16 year old wannabe drifter that thinks his cars fast cos its turbo. I tend to agree, that yes, they do get a bad name because the young idiots think because its revving its tits off and making alot of noise that its the fastest thing in the world. You really need to speak to the people (like myself) that actually used the car properly. In my case, and Integra Type R (DC2). I frequented the race track, as thats where it belongs. And for all those saying the powerband is useless.. just see how long it stays above 6000rpm on a track. Seeing as i now own an R33 im not biased, as i have always wanted a Skyline. And the two cars are un-compareable. Completely different classes. Stock for stock, my ITR used to keep neck and neck with my friends R33 untill the top of 2nd. Then the legs were stretched on the Skyline.. but E-drags are gay. So meh lol. Ok, so i lost my train of thought hahaha and not sure where im going. Im just disappointed that this forum is so shallow and has to resort to this. I expect this from the Toyspeed forum in NZ! Go up against any properly set up Civic or Integra (be it Type R or not) and i guarantee you will have a hard time shaking them, or even keeping up, on the track where it really matters *double insulated flame suit on*
  22. No. Thats what happens when you go to the track
  23. And then the turbo blew its ass into mexico and you had to tow it home didnt ya? good 500km? LOL
  24. I doubt the Maxima would tow a R33 on a trailer very easily. What does an R33 weigh? 1400kg + an easy 2-300 for a trailer, generally you dont want to tow any more than 1500kg IF the towbar is rated to that? I know in our old Maxima, 97 Model, didnt enjoy towing a small trailer full of camping stuff! It wasnt light, but hills it struggled, and the auto box seemed to get confused as to what gear to stay in at times lol.
  25. oooh righto i thought it didnt have hole at all and you put one in.. my bad The JJR ones dont have holes at all.
