Greeces13 Rb26 11.2sec In A Very Bad Strip And Big Accident!
9krpm replied to GreeceS13's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That video cracked me up but what you replied about the sway bar gives me the impression that you should certainly need to research more into car handling. You don't wack a heavier engine into the front, remove the front sway bar and expect the car to be stable. I read what you posted buddy. Without a sway bar at the front your car is even worst than having a stock or soft sway bar! I think you need to read a bit more into suspension tuning. I wont' even ask what wheel alignment you had on the car. -

GreeceS13, yes the sway bar will help to reduce rear movement. I put stiffer sway bar in one of my track cars (s2000) to reduce oversteer. -

Yes I am thinking the same thing. Greece, if you have a Nismo 2 way diff then the accident could have been avoided with better brake control. I speculate that you left it too late to back off the throttle, panicked and then slamped on the brake when the rear end lost control. This just sent all of the weight to the front of an aldready heavy front ended set up and spun the car out of control. You should stiffen up the front suspension rather than put the stock front suspension back in. -

So you ran radial at the front and drag tyres at the rear? -

From the first video, you can see clearly that the 180 clicked the rear of the s2k and clearly unsettled it. It's suttle but definitely enough to sent it into the wall. I hate to say bad things to people but GreeceS13, you need to reread what pple posted and rethink why the accident happened and hopefully doesn't cause another one. A 10sec s2k is not cheap or quick to build. What you said doesn't make any sense and like commented before is an accident waiting to happen with your car setup. From the footages you had a lot of chance to back off before you lost control. You were going almost the same speed as s2k until the very end. You braked too late and fail to control your car! If you intend to keep on drag racing get a 2 way diff it will give you more control. Thanks god both of you are still alive. Dont make the same mistake again, it could cost some body love one. BTW What tyres did you run at the front? Drag or radial tyres? -
Good stuff Mark. I think you got the names of the two tracks the wrong way around. Sprint is the shorter track.

Gtr Factory Exhaust Manifold, Turbo Side Porting
9krpm replied to JimX's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It can crack any pipe but more so for aftermarket than the cast stockies. I have another spare and I am running E85 so it's not that bad. -

I just took my heat coated stock manifolds out and wrapped them a few weeks ago. The heat coating is convenient but they don't last very long under the high temp condition. Wrapping is the way to go. -
After Feedback On Os-giken Triple-plate Clutch
9krpm replied to wlspn's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I've used OS Giken tripple plates clutches on my GTR for the past 5 years. I havent had any problem with it. A lot of people bitch about it but what I've noticed is that it's always a bitch after I picked it up from workshop probably because the workshop only moved the car around their workshop. Somehow the clutch didn't like that at all. After a short drive or a couple of launches it's a beauty again. -
Yes this vipec better than motec and power fc d-jetro or blah blah sh!t is stirring me up to. I am starting to see it in many FI and motorsport threads. It's kind of annoying now and it's ruining this good thread. Just tone it down a bit Pauly. We are not all stupid on here. Some of your quote prices are not right either. Dazmo, I think Paul was comparing a "fitted" motec to a "supplied v88".

Powerfc Djetro... How Much Boost Can Read The Stock Maps?
9krpm replied to GreeceS13's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I had a D-jetro before. It was tuned to 1.7 bar of boost with occasional spike up to 1.8-1.9. AF ratio was very stable. -

Rb26 -how Do You Get Good Hp Numbers From Tuning ?
9krpm replied to 555kkk's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Brandon, the comment was half jovial and half serious. Sorry for the confusion. Chipped or without chip, the ecu is tunable if you know the right people. -

So what are you saying? You took it to 3 of the best tuners in QLD and non of them can tune a stock ecu PM me if you like to know who can give your Nissan ecu a tune -

It's been great pleasure testing this product, providing feedbacks and working with Paul. Thanks mate The great thing about it is Paul make a wish/idea become reality with this product. The fact that Paul can customise and constantly re-program the firmware to make this unit more useful for my track car is awesome. My EMII works flawlessly with the vi-pec as well. Paul my next wish is to make the AF ratio warning adjustable to 2 variables; AF ratio and MAP readings. I only want the warning light to come on if my AF ratio is above a certain number during positive manifold pressure or at certain positive MAP reading. I am sure this is doable and I look forward to the next firmware upgrade again

My bad, the orange/white wire on harness 3 receives some signal from the ecu harness. I have not got a manual with me. Does anyone have one handy and let us know what is the function of this pin?
