  1. Sounds sensational!!! What coils are those? Could you share a dynograph?
  2. Dont be sorry buddy was glad that you brought it up
  3. Wow it must be a man flu season. I asked a simple question and got sneezed at by two members about my assumed "ill informed". Lithium you are a well respected member on here with very well informed opinion mate especially about turbo too. I rarely post but read a lot of yours. Try to get vaccination for the flu buddy Yes I am aware of Mark & Russ test. Most people within the timeattack circle know this. Yes the turbo had the usual initial detachment problem. Hence I've steered away from BW for a while. M&R did not post any result though. Given that BW quality control appears to be improved, I am keen to try them out. I am after around 550-600rwkw without sacrificing the midrange of my current twin turbo setup for my timeattack car. Would be great if anyone else know of any others that's been tested. Ryan, when do you think you will have that combo on the dyno?
  4. If it hurts I am so sorry. I did not know that is such a sensitive issue. It was not my intention. My OS RB30 is still healthy with the 9krpm limit. I've seen Willall OS RB30 at 10krpm+ without rev issues. I've not seen too many other at around that limit except possibly the RIPS or stroked Nitto. Hence the word "usually" in my statement. I was after some data of what the 9180 is capable of at 9krpm. Thanks for the other information in your post. Do you have any data of flow improvement with porting the RB head under "force induction" testing?
  5. I was not meant to "poke" or stir up another discussion and just want to see a fairer comparison of peak power which is directly related to torque and rpm. Torque is just effective cubic volume and timing really. Would love to see the other non revving nissan 3 or more Litres with the 9180 at 9-10krpm too
  6. Has anyone tried the 9180 on a 3L engine...well OS RB30 since the others usually don't rev much?
  7. Yes Matt. Would of been good to catch up. The Willall boys said you guys were around but I could not see and had to leave. Hopefully next time.
  8. How did Jenkie go over the weekend? Does anyone know what engine Mark is using now? I was in a rush to get back so did not stay long to catch up with him. Was hoping to see more of the WR1000 but hopefully it will be sorted out soon. I was up on the mount where it leaked coolant. All white smoke and only spat a bit of coolant on the track. Definitely not piston. The rumour did scared a lot of competitors and they all slowed down after the crest ....and then I had to leave. Would be nice to see the Gallardo do a flat out lap too.
  9. Add a turbo system, dog box (possibly a r33gtst ) and a nissan diff then you will be looking at 1450kg for a lightly stripped s2000 with only 350rwkw. I don't think it will scare many GTR.
  10. The s2k is a bit deceiving and you will be surprised that is actually not the case. The s2000 is 1250kg from factory and I think that is dry weight. The track is not that wide either. Getting 600hp out of the f20c is easy but putting that power down will requires a lot of aero work. The only advantage is the suspension geometry is pretty good from stock but to compete at pro level it will be cheaper to build an evo or a nissan. At supersprint level then the gearbox and rear diff may not cope with significant power increase....I am not sure if the rule will allows use of other gearbox.
  11. What the lightest factory weight of a r32 gtr? Is it 1400kg for the N1 or is there a lighter version produced? I am trying to keep within the max of 20% reduction rule. I dont think I can get it but it will be good to know the actual target. BTW what is the allowed weight for the Evo then? Obviously no one will use the Evo X since that is a baby whale when it comes to weight. Also who else will be fighting for the Nissan badge? There seems to be some crazily fast Evo and Subies in the built also. It's going to be an interesting year.
  12. I've got a set of AP for this event Mike. Eastern creek doesn't need too much brake if you have enough aero
  13. Car is looking great. I wish I could find a supplier for the titanium when I did my exhaust. Will be great to see what it can do after the weight loss. Shoot me a pm later on if you need to loose more weight but pretty much anything you can think of ^__^
  14. Does anyone know the weight of the R32 GTR front and rear subframes? I have googled and searched without much success. Does anyone know a rough figure?
  15. Small update to keep this thread alive Aero-parts are 70-80% done. The rest wil be completed while the cage is receiving some more work to accommodate for the extra load from aero, higher corner speed and new suspension/spring setup. So much changes in the past few years but the car is getting close to completion. Once the custom rear and front suspension setup is done the aero parts will be bolted back onto the car and...... track testing time Finally this ugly driver side intrusion piece is removed....should have seen CK racing development or Riverside Racing first for cage work...live and learn with this hobby lol
  16. If you need any more weight saving, let me know mate. I have plenty of other dry carbon parts for the R32 ^_^ It would be good to see this beast rip down the quarter mile again.
  17. I've been using Jun pumps for years on the OS giken engine without problem. Willall racing drag car also used this pump with revs of 10,000+ rpm without any pump issues. If you can pick it up for under 1k...then that is a steal!
  18. It will be great to see the completion mate!
  19. How much boost did it take to produce 422kw? 22psi or higher?
  20. Thanks Geoff. I'm currently using apair of the Greddy T618z 10cm atm. I'm really undecided on which BW efr turbo to use, single or twin. I think I will see what the Greddy is capable of and what the car really need before pulling the trigger on one of your manifold and the BW's. I suspect that it will be a big single with dual wastgates given that the car will be fully aero and has a holinger 6 speeds sequential. It will be predominantly be at high rpm at Eastern creek.
  21. The purpose of doing this is to improve top end power. Bridging the two into 1 gate just defeat the purpose of the exercise. Btw what are the largest external gate turbos can u fit with these modified manifolds?
  22. Awesome!!! Great to see another GREAT BNR32 being resurrected. Keep the pictures coming ^_^
  23. Just a brief update before the year ends: Car has been tuned a few months ago and everything went well for a conservative low boost of 430awkw on Willall dyno. Just enuf to drive up onto trailer for more work Some last pics of the car in the metal shell before more aero bits lols
  24. Richard, are 6258s the largest twin you can fit in the engine? Im keen to try a set on my OS rb26/30 time attack r32. I don't mind whether it's internal or external gates but Im keeping with the twin for response.
