  1. Better be safe than sorry for me Will. I am a tad more worried about the insurrance side of thing rather than getting pull over up here.
  2. It was a very good night. There were not that many skylines at the beginning but all of the sudden the skylines all turned up after 730. Nice to meet you guys. Hope to see some more lines out there next time.
  3. I used to buy it from there too busky Just make sure you check your AF Busky. Martin tested and tuned a lot of cars on boost98 when the fuel first came out. He found that the car runs fairly lean with the extra oxygen in the fuel. Your knock might be ok but the cylinders and exh temp might be dangerously high. I've been using Boost98 on the my R32 almost since I got the car. Great power gain after Martin tuned it for this fuel. I use Shell Extreme when ever I go to the track up here. The car seems to like the extra RON. You guys will love it when it's on the pump.
  4. Will this work with stock coils on the rb26dett or do you need to upgrade the coil?
  5. Isn't SAU a non profit organisation? Since we all need semislicks and everyone is pretty much keen on a descent Brand for good price. I prefer the RE55s but don't mind Bridgestones or others. Why couldn't we get SAU to become a non profit semislick "distributor" and distribute it to members for retail price? Good/bad idea?
  6. Hmmm I've always thought they are legal because of the yellow dot. I better take extremely good care next time I drive down to the track. Thanks for the infor chop
  7. what are the prerequisite personal safety requirement for racer/driver?
  8. Would love to have the cash to get a hold of an OS RB30. From what I've seen it is very well engineered. If you need more info, contact Willall racing.
  9. This is the best and most reliable way of doing it. There are too many variation with the other techniques.
  10. Is anyone able to come out this Sat 2nd of Sept?
  11. shanef can you find out how much for the federal in 255/40/17? I am keen to give the federal a try to see how they compare to the RE55
  12. TnT is cancelled for tonight according to their website. Hopefully the weather is racing friendly on Sat night.
  13. Damn it's pouring outside Will have to call willowbank to see if they have any rain that way and if the TnT is still on.
  14. I had spacer on the front rims. The spacer were from Autobahn. I had no problem at Mallala. This is probably around 200+kmph at the back straight.
  15. hehehe you guys are humourous. Both of my cars are equally unreliable. I just got the honda back from 9 months hell with a workshop. This is just for repair of their stuff up I just want to complete the honda project with a final drag at a major event and see if it can get low 11. This is just for fun, nothing serious. After that, I won't drag the honda ever again. The honda and I had enough of bad workshops. If any of you guys move to SA and want to avoid BAD workshops let me know. There are only few good workshops. Looks can be very deceiving
  16. has anyone got a link for the rules and application form? I will try to take one of my car in just for the fun of it.
  17. I am going to leave from the Gold Coast so it will be difficult to catch up with you before then Jyo, unless you are down this way for something. You can tee up with my mates from Wishart though. See you on the night....but will give you a call early next week anyway. No prob shanef. It's very frustrating but everything will pay off in the end. Just hold your patience. Let me know when you get out there mate, I will join you. My r32 still hasn't got as much top end as before these recent hiccups but will take it out there for some practice nxt Wed. Will definitely come back again after a retune and sticky semi. If it's not the r32 it will be the honda. If the honda runs properly I will put it into the jamb . So yeah will try to get a chance to check out ur car
  18. yeah sorry for the confusion mate. We probably will get a lot more runs if we go tomorrow because the boys from Tune Automotive and Boostcruising forums are out there on the 30th. However it too much of a short notice for tomorrow and it should be a lot more fun on the 30th.
  19. I highly recommend the ID3. It is so easy to adjust. I would not bother with the manual settings. Setup the waste gate mode. Then in automaitc mode, adjust the desire boost settings (to 10psi in your case) and then increase the gain until you get spike. Then just bring the gain back to the settings before the spike and nothing more to worry!
  20. hmmmm so it should cost around $200 for this exercise to get a third denso sensor under the bonnet and a boost reading on the pfc hc Probably not well spent money. Paulr33, does FC datalogit give out boost reading for a basic D-jetro setup?
  21. Alternatively I can get another Denso sensor + harness like you suggested. Might be safer this way. Do you know where is the easiest place to get the the Denso map sensor? Thx again.
  22. Thanks for the reply paul, I just read your database and it is very informative. It is quite interesting. The D-jetro has 2 map sensors. Both of them plug into the boost controller kit port on the pfc to get power. The signal wires from the MAP sensors hook up to the MAF signal on the ECU. Would it be safe to piggy back one of the MAP sensor signal and feed that into the boost controller kit port? Would this work? Has anyone done it before?
  23. I have a PFC D jetro and a Blitz SBC R in my car. I get boost reading on the Blitz but like the the graphical format on the hand contoller. Is there anyway of getting boost reading on the hand controller with this setup? Doesn't the D jetro has 2 map sensors? Why couldn't Apexi show boost on the hand controller? Is there any software fix for this?
  24. I've been well, thanks Andy. I've been really busy so I've not participate in as much motorsport up here yet. Secondly my s2k was still at K&A, until last weekend, so I've to be gentle on the r32 everyday as it's my only mode of transport up here. I can't wait to get the s2k up here so I can attend more track day with the r32. The facilities and the organisers' attitude up here are sensational. How are things your end? How is your 4 door beast? BTW what is your fuel consumption with the the 4 doors? Is it worthwhile to get one as a daily drivearound? My gtr burns too much fuel
  25. Jyo, I was planning to go this Wed as well as the 30th but probably wont as my friend's gearbox (yes another mate with gearbox problem ) won't be fix in time. I had a boost control issue at top end. I did not have enough power at high rpm and bogged off the line too many embarassing times. I think everythig is all fixed now. Hopefully nothing will go wrong from now until then...it has been a busy last few weeks Would be nice to see your car out there. Can you and the boys make it?
