  1. that's true too, if you speed match the gears or gentle on the shift then you don't work the synchro as much. However the gear will only engages easily if that section of the synchro is not bent or damaged. If the synchro is bent or damaged, then you will still get a harsh sensation up the gear stick
  2. Why not get John to come to Jamboree on the 23rd-24th of September at Willowbank? It should be around 700km shorter than Perth trip. Would love to see John running his blue beast up here.
  3. Willowbank has 2 more Wednesday Test and Tune for this August. A couple of the SAU members are coming out to race. Some of my friends are coming out there with their nissans too. It will be great to see more skylines out there to enjoy the remaining cold winter weather. I think the track will get a lot busier closer to the Jamboree at the end of next month, so you probably will get more runs for your money now. Door opens at 5 racing at 530pm. For more info check http://willowbank-raceway.com.au/ I am from the Gold Coast. It would be nice if pple at the Gold Coast can meet up somewhere and cruise there. Hope to see you guys there. Dan
  4. Gavin Wood Autotech @ Labrador is awesome and extremely helpful. He just did mine.
  5. heheehhe but you got more useable midrange and chunky 18" semi....I think I am going to smell your smoke next sprint day...better bring some nice perfume along for my car lol about your box, I think the partially damaged synchros are playing trick on ya. I think it feels ok lately because you've been engaging gears on the parts where the synchros are still healthy.....just by rotational chance. yes my clutch is fixed now. Gavin Wood is very good and extremely helpful. He even found a faulty/damaged crank angle sensor on my car. Naturally this was replaced too More reason to find a second job to support my gtr hobby I am trying to order some re55s from adelaide but nothing is promising at this stage. that's the reason I took my titanium exhaust off and put a 3.5" stainless on. The note is different but it is just too loud on the street
  6. mine was around 1450 with audio equipments and air cond so our cars are around similar weight but I am a bit heavier than you I think you have to carrry lead weight next time we track Jyo J/K is your g-box fixed yet?
  7. has anyone got any more info on this? Has anyone done this in Aus? is it tunable with the pfc?
  8. are you planning to use this car much on the street or is it a track only car?
  9. Thanks for the toffer R33S2. I am a little bit out of your way unfortunately. So far I pulled back 3 degree of timing on the fc and everythings seems fine. It's just annoying to do it everytime I restart the car though. Wish I have the fc dataloggit or a timing light
  10. yeah Chris is not easy on the pocket He did some work on my f20c head, balanced the engine+clutch, and installed the sleeves. It was a while back though.

Hey Mike, unless something unexpected creeps up, I can give you a lift. Shoot me a pm with you address and the best time to pick you up (so we won't be late for the GC meeting point). I will see you on sat. Cheers
  12. One of their machinist is Chris Milton
  13. I'll be back at labrador tomorrow arvo. Where about are you located gtr sleeper?
  14. I got someone to install a clear cam cover for me. Got the car back and knock reading is a lot higher than usual. I will need to recheck and adjust the crank angle sensor but I left my light in SA. If you have one lying around, could I borrow it for 1/2 hour or so? I can exchange it for a joy ride...in the passenger seat Thx
  15. thanks I will ask him next week. He was busy last week and I did not get a chance to talk to him at all. Thanks tappet. Sometimes the operator is more important than the tool. Back when I was in SA I always used this chap with the old school manual wheel alignment tools. He was spot on all the time. BTW does Ken use laser or manual alignment machine?
  16. I am in for 2. One for RB26DETT and one for F20C (honda s2000). IF the nipple is removable, could I have one as well. Never know when a nipple is handy
  17. common guys, help a new bro out All I want to do is dial in a little bit more caster + camber for the front and possibly corner weight the car. I am just slowly preparing for the next Sat sprint day at QR. I think I got bitten by the track bug last time I was there I am at work during the week and can only get this done on the weekend. Anyway, someone must use/know a good shop for this sort of thing. Where are all the trackies when you need their good advices ?
  18. I called Accurate Suspension but Ken doesn't work on the weekend. Is there any other reliable places?
  19. Confuscious say a man with 2 watches will never know the exact time I only use the dyno to make sure my car is tuned/running safely. Real power is to be measured at the race track. Regardless of how much power you have after a few months the car will feel like a snail again and you just want more boost
  20. I've seen Pete's work on RB engine. If and when my RB stuff up I will send it down to them. Great bunch of people with vast amount of knowledge and experience who stand up for their work/word.
  21. thanks guys I will give Accurate suspension a call for next weekend.
  22. I am in need for a wheel alignment for a R32GTR. I just moved up to the Gold Coast from SA and not too sure who are best for this job. I travel to South Brisbane most weekend so getting it done around there is not a problem too. Could someone kindly let me know who you normally go to? Do they open on the weekend?
