I'm in for sunday too
-
Paid and sent my registration form today. However I won't be able to make it to the sau drag day due to work commitment. Hopefully will catch up with the members next time. Good luck guys. I am still going out to Willowbank late on Saturday with some mates. If there are any others that could not make it to the SAU event like me, hopefully will see you out there on Saturday.

how soon is very soon ? I've been looking at joining SAU but have trouble printing out the form at home and work restricts access on this website. Is there an email option for the form?
-
I am keen to go out there to time my car with not so good street tyres. It would be nice to see/race with some other lines out there. Is anyone keen to come out for a few test runs? BTW Gates open at 4pm and runs commence at 4.30pm
-
r33 racer, that's really fast time. Would be nice to see you in action out there. I did 62 secs with my car on the day. I just can't get much traction around the corners with my street tyres Hopefully I get a hold of some semislick for next time.
-
r33 racer, what are your fastest times at the QR sprint and complete track?
-
tacker, how much will the rotor cost? I've got a set of second hand F50 Brembo calipers with ?pagid pads and 355 mm rotors. Basically everything you need to bolt it into a nissan minus the mounting bracket. If you want them let me know.
-
is there any news on the recheduled date?
-
oh I need to order a whiteline sway bar for my r32 too. Who do you recommend r33racer?
-
nice car there r33 racer! I was there late in my black r32 and tried to look for your car but couldn't see. Glad you have all the problem sorted. Are you coming out for the next one? It was great fun for me...even in average street tyres. It would be fun to have more skylines out there for sure. What is "top gear" event and how did you go?

I posted my registration in this morning Common guys! It would be nice to see some more lines there.

:iagree: any update on this guys?

Making A Twin Plate Clutch Better To Drive
9krpm replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ie you need to make the slave bigger *not* smaller. Get it resleeve or get the nismo slave cylinder. BTW how much did it cost you for resleeving the cylinder. -
Busky in Vic, I think it's anything over 3km with the radar camera. I got my first speeding fine ever in Melb 2 months ago doing 106 on their 100kph highway. Damn Victorian system tainted my clean driving record For him to write such a fine he need to be an Workplace Services inspector and yes I think he can legally do this but not sure about the 800+ fine. I know a couple of them in SA. They are quite powerful in the work force. They can do a lot more damage than just a simple fine. The story is quite inspirational and it's a great method to pay back dodgy workshop that rip you off guys. Just call the inspector or Workplace SA and make report on unsafe activities/tools that you see in the workshop. If there are enough reliable reports they will come down to investigate/issue improvement or prohibition notices

Mysterious Pfc Missfire In An R32 Gtr
9krpm replied to itbmils's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If this info help, my FC Djettro with map sensors does it too. It does it once in a couple of hundred-thousand km at very light load, it is unpredictable and is certainly not reproducible. All monitoring parameters are all safe. Go figure! I guess the GTR god want to be driven fast all the time -

Rb26 Turbo Comparision Graph (from Latest Hpi Mag)
9krpm replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It's very interesting to see how this thread has progressed Like most people have agreed, I believe that these dyno runs are as close as a comparison you can get in life. The only better comparision is if this is all done in one car but no one has that much money+time to burn for such R&D. I think any other dyno result adding to this thread will just cloud the discussion. There are just to many other variables such as tuners' tuning style, fuel, dyno, dyno correction etc etc for a reliable comparison. Sorry but no disrespect intended here. For clarification, the T5187Z refers to T517Z with 8cm housing. The car has big top end hks cams, 2.6L and FC D jetro. The result was obtained at 19psi and on pump fuel. All cars were tuned by Martin Donnon. I think from the first graph you can say that the t517z performs well. It is compariable to the t04z at top end (in the reliable rev range) and would not differ to the GTRS much if the car has stock cams. I know the owner of the car with the t517z well and have been in the car a few times. It just smoke street tyres in first gear on launch or looses traction at all 4 wheels at around 8krpm (in first gear).....that's probably why busky felt the "power dip" at top end Boost starts at 3krpm and full boost is achieved at around 4.6krpm. A littl e bit laggy for some but all you need is bleep the throttle a few times and dump the clutch The car is a daily driver built for drag and track work. The owner did 1:20 at Mallala and 1:18 with Luke Youlden behind the wheel at Mallala. The car weights around 1530kg. It hasn't had a chance to see the drag strip yet....but when time permits it will be interesting to see what it can do with sticky rubbers. As far as I know it has been running strong since the beginning of this year. Great tuning Mr Martin Donnon! -
can you pencil me in? I have 4 friends up that weekend, staying at the Gold Coast. I think I iwll try to take a break from them for the dyno run.
-
let me take it for a spin next time and I will let you know if it's a dogbox or not. Like beer baron said if it's a dogbox you will know it aldready. It's not that simple to drive a dogbox but not very difficult once u learn what to do. one quick test is while the car is idling, clutch in and put it into first gear. If it goes in smoothly and THEN bang ==> dog box If it's difficult to go into gear or make noise as it goes in ==> stuffed synchro. This is bad new because if your first gear syncrho is stuffed then more than likely the others are not healthy either!

how was QR J-boy? Wish I could make it but had to be at work today. I wish they could organise it on the weekend rather than on a weekday

The Toyo drift battle is on sunday 25th of June. Not that I am much into drifting but I might come out to QLD raceway to spectate this time. Any chance of changing this onto the Sat?

just get a stock gtr wing J-boy it's legal and works extremely well.
