  2. i am keen
  3. Good result Jboy. Is that RWKW or AWKW? How was your AFR? Oh sorry I could not make it I was stuck in a boring work meeting Catch up with u on the weekend if you r free.
  4. thanks hrd-hr30 I had the re55s in the past on my 17". They were great for track work and spirited hill driving. The only down side is the road noise and they only lasted 2 track days and 1000km on the road They certainly had a lot of grip and heat resistance. I will try to make it to Mt Cotton on sunday to spectate. One of my mate from Adelaide is up and I don't know what time I will get home on Sund morning Good luck with your runs.
  5. awesome, I better save up for some semislick tyres. Is there a limit on the number of competitors? BTW and slightly OT what semislick are you guys using?
  6. my 272 HKS cams cause lumpy idle. I don't like it though. Don't know why you would want such thing Roy
  7. can you guys post pics of what the twin system looks like from the rear? twin all the way from the turbo will be awesome to look at but probably add a lot of weight.
  8. me too I don't think anyone fall behind thanks to RYN26 and Brad keeping us in pace with the rest of the group LOL Thanks for the cruise guys. It was fun and a good introduction to QLD roads for me. You guys have awewome highway and interesting hillclimb road compare to SA. I will be keen to come to Mt Cotton on the 21. If I am not ready to compete I will be keen to spectate. Hopefully catch up with you guys again. Cheers
  9. I got the http://www.acpt.com/ shaft from Willall Racing. They had one in stock and I got it for a reasonable price.
  10. The carbon fiber one is around 7kg. I did not weight it properly when I installed it. The car definitely accelerate faster on the bumaccelerometer It also absorps a bit of road/driving noise.
  11. My car has 400+rwkw and a single 044 intank. The car is fine on track but I have never run it with less than 1/4 tank of petrol. A surge tank is defintely a better/safer and faster upgrade. I have all of the parts for the setup but still not sure on how/what is the best way to rig it up. Could you guys post some DIY tips/pics and also let us know how loud the setup is? Thx
  12. what brand and which country make these HID?
  13. oops sorry I used fireball computer and did not realised he was still logged on.
  14. I am getting mine in a few day. May be we should tee up and do this together. Where do you live in QLD Jboy?
  15. My friend is working on Saturday so I will have an empty passenger seat. If anyone want to come for a ride or get sick of the back seat of another car then you are very welcome to keep me company on the cruise. I am new to QLD and staying at Mt Gravatt area. Could someone let me know the closest meeting point for me?
  16. On the contrary, I think the id3 Boost Controller is very easy to tune. Just set you desire boost and gain on in the auto settings. The boost controller will hold it at that boost. It works well for my turbo honda.
  17. mik, how much torque have you got? This is the first time I hear of front diff failure.
  18. I've heard that the OS is impossible/unsafe to do in the car as there is some grinding involved. So dirtgarage, is there any tips for the job? How did you setup the preload?
  19. It's the honda that's having problem atm. I think most pple on here know which workshop the car is at. For the skyline I will only go to Willall Racing. The front diff is not yet in as I had a late night on Saturday at a friend's engagement. The car still did 1:20, 1:21 at Mallala with me driving and 1:18 with Luke Youden in the driver seat.
  20. Bugger, friend got hold of my laptop and see what happened !!! Anyhow, what she posted is so true though. You can stretch friendship to a certain extend but 5 + months to repair a stuff up job is not on. As soon as I leave SA on Thursday and there is no promising sign of completion then I will let the OBCA and my lawyer deal with this. My precioius time has been wasted so much from this stuff up event Sorry for the whinges guys.
  21. if you installed it properly it should solves your stalling saga.
  22. The high rev, 6 cylinders and high power application is probably why they chose the open deck. Both opened and closed decks have their ad and disadvantages. Open deck has better head and the top part of cylinder cooling. Closed deck has better rigidity, allows O-ring for better chamber sealing at the expense of reduced cooling capability. My honda F20c engine has open deck stock and closed deck with Oring after rebuild. The chamber seal is amazing.
  23. Oh I forgot, when the bell house's weld dissociated, the clutch and flywheel consequently separated at 9k rpm. The engine + fly wheel had momentum to reved to 11000rpm on the data log for a very brief few milliseconds. So the engine might be stuffed too One would hope that any descent workshop will rush to the rescue with such circumstances and get the car back to the road/track asap. On the contrary, the repair process has been severely delayed and then the no warranty because you were on the track trick : My blood boils for my friend.
  24. My friend is having trouble getting his car back in drivable condition from a workshop. The workshop did some engineering & welding for him and the weld did not hold, did a lot of damage to his brand new drive train while he was testing some other stuff for the workshop on the track. He was lucky to have walked away from the event. The car could have flipped, his limbs could have been amputated or worst. He paid (out of his pocket) close to $2k for another clutch to replace the irrepairable damaged clutch to speed up the repair process. He has been promised many times in the past 5 months that the job will be done after many certain events. However the due dates have never been met and there have been endless excuses. My friend is sick of going to the workshop atm as he only get to hear lies and he is loosing his sanity. When he called the workshop manager, he always got the response that the manager was busy and will call back the following day or the manager has been very busy and has not had a chance to deal with what ever issues discussed and will call back the following day. There has not been any return call. There is no warranty offered at all according to the manager because " the car was on the track" and "we did not know that your original part will hold our weld". My friend still wait for the manager to confirm this with the work shop owners. He talked to the owners and he get to hear more promises. My friend's car is currently parked in the car park. It's a convertible. The roof is fading away with the OZ summer sun and the car has not been washed for months. It costed my friend $2000 for insurrance, registration etc etc to have the car park there looking and smelling like a POS in the past 5 months. If he had any idea that it will take longer than this he could of cancel these expenses. I think my friend has aldready cancel these expenses last week. He is furious and is willing to pay top money for any hungry lawyers to get the job finish asap. Has my friend got a case and do you know of any good law firm? My friend knows a lot of law firms because he does a lot of workcover reports for them but any extra guidance is appreciated. I have not got any good advise to give him at all beside calling the OCBA (http://www.ocba.sa.gov.au/). If you are in dismay or having a good laugh at this....it is a true sad story and I am using his account without him knowing it. He is not stupid but he is being treated like a dumb c@nt by this workshop. Lets count to the day that he get a return phone call.
  25. the LSD did not come with the any bearing...I should have a look prior .....and the late sunday start did not help at all. The whole mission was aborted. It looks like a fairly involved process but doable. Do you have any tips or short cuff for this?
