  1. Here is a little montage of my filming from the day, thanks for the editing Brooksie
  2. That is a Jerico air shift gearbox Yes the rear subframe/diff etc has been replaced by the drag axle set up, everything is tied together with the very complex roll cage which really stiffens up the car and enables it to run very stable
  3. Still has the Nissan chassis but it is not a street legal car anymore, you can see loads more info on the cars website Project GTST Website
  4. Hi guys John Bradshaw and Project GTST were out again last weekend at Santa Pod and although there are still some set up issues needed to get the magic 7 second run the new dry sump set up is working a treat. I have a couple of short vids for you to view and
  5. I have a little video from the weekend when we took the wifes 4 door to a local Track day, the circuit is Aintree and is inside the famous Grand National Horse racing course here in the UK Unfortunately the session got stopped early as an Elise and a Scooby went off together trying to keep up with the 4 door Car engine is a STD RB20DET with pod filter and cat-back exhaust Enjoy
  6. Hi guys I live in the UK and have been on here for some years, I have a 32 4 door myself which is currently under construction including a Sydneykid 30 bottom end fed by a 26 head and a T51....should be interesting when completed. Anyway, the family car was a Renault Scenic french piece of crap for a couple of years but the wife got bored of it and decided to go for a 4 door herself so I picked her up a very clean example, pretty much stock apart from induction, cat-back and some Climb gear shocks Here it is when we bought it In the first month or so it has gone through a couple of changes, first was some 33 GTR rims Next was some new gaitors and GTR interior Out of the blue a set of 8x18 and 8x19 Nismo LMGT3's came up for sale so the GTR rims had to make way Further plans are a GTR bonnet and some skirts, maybe some rear spats too Will post more pics soon Pete
  7. I had a couple of PM's with Gary last night (02:30 my time ) and the end result was that Gary is going to Harris Engines this Saturday to find out if the engines are crated up. Harris Engines have had no extra holidays apart from the statutary ones as far as Gary is concerned so there should be no reason why they are not good to go considering the last estimate given on the 20th of Dec was for them to be crated by 8th Jan at the latest. So I await Garys feedback on Sunday and hope that things are looking more posistive.
  8. I too would appreciate people not commenting unless they know the facts of the situation. I was not informed of any additional holidays, I am still waiting for my full update which I was told I would get on the 3rd of January, just like the numerous other 'full updates' which I have been promised but never had. I am still waiting for a reply to my email and PM from 4th January. I totally understand you guys sticking up for Gary as overall he is a helpful guy to many in this community but that does not mean you should be flaming people who are having a hard time with him. I could go on and relay every bit of correspondance that I have had with Gary but that is not my style, I am just trying to level the field a bit here as somebody in the same position as Felix and the others still waiting. It is a real shame that this venture has had to take a turn for the worse but it was all very easily avoided if proper communiction had been used.
  9. No replies to my PM or emails since the beginning of Jan. I think the ones shipped were going within Aus??
  10. I think you should stay out of this as you do not know the facts No one would be worried if there were genuine reasons for things to take long, or if that possibility had been stated before the order was placed. The facts are quite different to the original agreed terms. End of.
  11. I would like to add a liitle support for Felix here, I am having one of the 7 engines and another is coming to my mate here in the UK. Before we start a war against Felix please remember that we have all paid out a lot of money starting some 10 months ago without even a decent picture of evidence that the promised work is being carried out. I chose Gary because of his reputation and no doubt the wait will be worth while but you guys have got to understand the frustrations when a quoted 6-8week build time is now 10 months down the line without and end in sight. As Felix has stated, regular updates that were promised never appeared so from somebody sat on the other side of the world like we are it can be very hard to accept. And Gary, if you are reading this, don't spend the time replying, get your arse down to Harris Engines and get them crates packed Let's hope this story has a happy ending and I am sure Gary will learn as much from this experience as we have. Pete
  12. From reading the article it states AWD
  13. Cheers for that Adrian I think the 'tubbed' issue I mentioned was maybe taken the wrong way, what I meant was a couple of the 'quick' RWD cars over here in the UK have gone for a proper drag set up on the rear end, one in particular is the CRD Supra which runs the 9's but will no longer be allowed to run in the street legal class. The car will not run in competition again until October so we have a long wait to see how the NOS and sequential Xtrac box will improve the times
  14. I don't know why John ran that tyre combination, he will be the first to admit that he is a complete novice when it comes to drag racing. Can you tell us the reason why it is a bad idea to run the radials on the front? I assume the comparative lack of grip compared to a slick should you need to correct it mid strip is the issue?
  15. Keeping the RB25 was a very important part of the project, as is keeping the original rear suspension layout rather than going for a tubbed rear end like a couple of the quick RWD cars have opted to over here.
  16. It may well have been posted on this forum already but if not I just wanted to share the news from the UK. At Santa Pod yesterday (25/6) John Bradhaw in 'Project GTST' ran a 9.9 backed up by a 10.02 This car has undergone major work over the last few months by Gary Passingham at GT-Art and is still only in the shakedown stages at the moment You can find lot more information about the car at www.projectgtst.com but the basics are that it is a R33 GTST using a bored/stroked RB25 and running a T51SPL Still to come on the car is an Xtrac gearbox (standard box was used yesterday ) , the NOS has not been used yet either and the suspension still has a lot of development work to be done too
  17. Got a couple of mine When I bought it current state More pics to follow as it progresses but this is my favourite 4 door, the cross factory show car
  18. So can we clarify that the combination of drives i was going to use as in the piccy is not going to work? They are both 20 tooth
  19. I am a little confused by this.. In this pic I have a R33 GTST drive at the top and a 32 GTR drive below the thing that confuses me is that the gears are oriented differently, is this going to work if i swap the drives?
  20. Have you been doing anything with the AFM wiring? it is common to blow a fuse. Check the correct AFM is selected on the PFC menu too
  21. Going by your user name is this installed in a 32 GTS? And I assume by the careful gearchange comment that you are on a stock gearbox too?
  22. The first thing I would do is to strip it down and measure the plate thickness and then generally inspect the condition overall. You can pick up new plates off Yahho Japan auctions for about 35000yen. (dunno what that is in your money)
  23. Hi guys, I have been registerd on here for a couple of years, popping in now and again looking for information I am from the UK and spend most of my time on www.skylineowners.com I am currently undergoing a R32 4 door project which initially was going to involve a RB26 RWD install, as the donor engine has a damaged crank I am now re-thinking my options and quite like the RB26/30 idea as my turbo is gonna take some spooling as you can see I may well be pestering you guys for info but until then you can follow my progress on the project on this thread Pete
