  1. Nuff said
  2. Apparently its something to do with a deal done between Nissan and Polypohny Digital (the developers of the Gran Turismo series). Polyphony helped them develop the user interface and did some of the programming for the new GTR, so there keeping the GTR out of the hands of their arch enemy Microsoft and there direct competitor the Forza series.
  3. Because it wouldnt matter we would just be going twice as fast when we inevitably hit the retard doing 60km/h on the freeway and not have enough time to break. To add to that we would also have the issue of crazy bitches in their 4WD's flipping over week in week out because they thought it was safe to do 250km/h in their insert crappy soft roader here just because there late to get little Krystal to ballet.
  4. If you dont mind me asking how much did the whole racepace exhaust set up cost you?
  5. PS3 for sure, the games hold there value much better in resale, a couple of months later 360 games are worth stuff all and the PS3 games are still worth a fair amount. I would know, I own a 360 and a Wii.
  6. I knew Terry would be first one to get the Sparticus joke, most of us are probably too young to of seen that movie
  7. Looks Mint As! That is my dream car, Silver R33GTR , Nice Exhaust looks nice and discreet, what make is it?
  8. There we can definetly agree. Enthusiasts will be willing to pay an extra couple of grand for better suspension or brakes but most people wont bother. Its just like the new Mustang debacle, Ford shave 5k off the price allegedly by not having IRS on any of its new Mustangs. Also the weight gains in these cars is just astronomical, on old VN Commodore Calais weights on 1350kg or there abouts but a new VE weights about 500kg more, all that extra inertia and weight ruining braking distances and fuel economy. We want fuel ecomony yet continue to build these behemoths.
  9. That is exactly my argument, and the accident rates speak for themselves they keep going up, people will still crash as long as there is the human factor behind the wheel. No esp, traction control or abs is going to stop that, even with Radar guided cruise control you still might crash if you forgot to turn it on like one journalist testing it in Germany. Personally I drive a car with no traction control, Abs or any other form of driver assist. I would like to have them but I dont, but I do like having crumple zones and things to keep me safe in the event of an accident. I would love to have better brakes and better handling but at the end of the day cars are tailored towards the masses not the enthusaists.
  10. I must say I disagree people are still going to crash no matter what you put in their cars. People will always push the limits of their brakes and tyres and they need that safety net of crumple zones and airbags etc. The vast majority of crashes I wont call them accidents because there not, are the drivers fault not some failing in their car, I read an interview with the Head of UK road safety for the UK Police he said that 98% of all accidents are all on the driver no mechanical failure what so ever. So I think its better they do spend the money on the crash safety, god knows how many lives its saved. We've all taken our eyes off the road for a second and then boom we could be in the back of a car or truck, no brakes or tyres will save you if the kids are screaming in the back and your trying to stop them throwing crap at you while driving for example and you dont pay attention for a single second.
  11. VN-VP Commodore owners myself included have the good old dash taping sign. This comes from the fact the fuel gauge doesnt work alot of the time unless you tap the dash or just hammer fist the dash
  12. R31 skyline all the way - Got the round lights - Most power out of all of the NA skylines - Does mean burnouts - Bolt on mods are plentiful - Not Cop bait - Nice and cheap good examples can be found for 3k or under
  13. Probably because its Yank spec left hand drive so they gotta move the turbo on to the left side and plenum onto the right.
  14. Toyota definetly rules the roost today, a decade or so ago i'm not so sure I cant find much info on it. So the number of Toyota's vs Ford or Holden on the road today would be guess work. As far as new cars go Toyota is creaming the lot of them in Febuary this year it stood like this: Sales For The Month Of Febuary 2009 Holden 9,029 Ford 7,396 Toyota 14,274
  15. I think these days they do, although 5 or 10 years ago I think it was a different story. I dont see too many older Toyota's compared with the older Falcons and Commodores.
  16. To be fair, I would think they would be the cars with the hugest numbers on the roads, so if the biggest call outs werent for Holden and Ford I would be a bit worried. Just for the record I have a Commodore and its central locking plays up all the time
  17. Free way to get a police escort
  18. Exactly right just like any other car there designed to put out a certain amount of power and they do it brilliantly once you start modding your going well passed what its designed to do then the problems happen. Its the same with any car Commodores, Falcons etc. I've seen a Modded LS1 Commodore go through a power steering pump, 2 tail shafts, 2 gear linkages, a clutch and a new head in a little over a month from street driving a few trips to the drags so its not just imports. Its also alot about how you treat your car, for some people its just bad luck others just thrash the shit out of there car and think it will be fine.
  19. Have any Hiflowed GTR Dyno Sheets? Cheers
  20. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, someone probably has. But we really need a list of exhausts that pass EPA which is 90db these days I believe, personally I dont want the bastards making my life miserable, but you gotta have the RB burble.

    Cyclists?

This is my problem, they ride down the nepean hwy on the weekends dozens of them and not one damn one of them on the bike track right next to the road. Cyclists can use the road all they want just obey the rules and be practical.
  22. Any form of engine modification that will result in increased power is not allowed on P's peroid, without an exception letter. Thats Victoria I'm not sure about the other states.
  23. Its a good game, not the greatest but definetly one of the more fun FPS on the 360. I love the drones you can use, makes the same so much easier when you can just fly up and shoot your enemy in the face with RC helicopter, priceless
  24. As far as I know you can drive on your original state license for 6 months before your forced to change it to the state of your current residence. I currently live in NSW, originally from VIC and I am still driving on VIC license and with a car with VIC plates, I dont plan on changing my rego or license too much grief and hassle for someone on their P's especially. If your not gonna be 18 within 6 months and you move to VIC just dont say anything and that way its 6 months from the first time you get pulled by a copper in Victoria. A mate of mine moved from SA when he was 17 driving on his P's has lived in VIC ever since, he only changed his license after he was eligible for a full license.
  25. I'd love to see some photos of the finished engine monitor, a price would be nice too. Great Project, I hope you make a heap of cash you deserve it.
