Soundtrack/backing - Car Doco

Parts of this track might work well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTBYg23e8cs -
Link to original article. I truly wonder if they would kill off a profitable car, provided of course the Evo is actually profitable, considering the massive amount of money must go into R&D for every model. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X could be the last Evo model from the Japanese brand, according to reports out of the Geneva Motor Show. UK publication Autocar spoke with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) global product director, Gayu Eusegi, who revealed that there would be no ‘Evo XI’ successor. “There is still a demand [for the car] … but we must stop,” Mr Eusegi said. “Our influence is now EV technology.” At the beginning of this year, Mitsubishi announced it would launch eight new hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles by 2015, as the brand moves towards a new alternative energy future. Mr Eusegi said the rally-bred Evolution franchise did not fit with the “policy change” at MMC. “Maybe the world can change, and maybe someday we can do a motor race by electric vehicles. Maybe then we can enter the market again,” he said. Mitsubishi Australia’s Lenore Fletcher said she personally had not heard any news about the end of the Evo from MMC head office, but said she had a call in to try to get to get the official word. Ms Fletcher admitted the brand was heavily focused on hybrid and electric vehicles in the short term. With the 6000th i-MiEV delivered recently, she said Mitsubishi was determined to further diversify its alternative energy offerings, with plans to introduce a hybrid or EV variant into every model line in the range. “That will be a huge platform for us going forward,” Ms Fletcher said. Despite this, she said hybrids and EVs did not necessarily mean the end of performance vehicles from Mitsubishi, with the potential for sports models to be based on the new efficient vehicle architectures. The Mitsubishi Evolution is one of the most legendary nameplates in recent automotive history, particularly in rally, street and tuning circles. The original Lancer Evolution I was launched in October 1992, designed to compete in the World Rally Championship. It produced 182kW of power and 309Nm of torque, and had a top speed of 228km/h. The current-generation Lancer Evolution X follows the trend of all Evos before it, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and an all-wheel drive system. It produces 217kW of power and 366Nm of torque, and in top-spec MR TC-SST form, accelerates from 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds. CarAdvice will bring you more news on the future of the Evolution franchise when we hear more.

Australia's Obsession With Falcodores.

If you have a teenage family or 1 tall child they simply wont fit in an Evo, hell my family doesnt even fit properly in our Commodore or Falcon. My mum is 5'10, dad is 6ft with my brother and me in the back are 6'3 and my sister who is 5'10 and this is 5 years ago when I still lived at home and my brother and me were slightly shorter. Also 7 year old Clubby 16k, so once again no comparison when it comes to price, also no comparison when it comes to parts and maintenance costs. One big problem I do have with the older commodores is there is no bloody adjustable steering column yet the Falcons had it years before, makes driving for me on long distances very uncomfortable with my long legs. -

Its quite simple really, 3 year old VE Clubsport 0-100 in roughly 5.2-5.3 seconds can be had for 35k , 3 year old BMW M3 sedan 100k minimum 0-100 in 4.9 seconds. It pretty much speaks for itself. Also 220kw V8 Commodore for 7k is a brilliant deal considering they go forever and any V8 Commodore will always be worth at least 5k to any number of young yobbos. Hell when the current crop of Clubbys are about 10-12 years old I plan on buying one just to do skids at 'nats' -
Best N/A legal P-Plate car thanks to the government not thinking of it is......The N/A Lotus Exige 0-100 in 4.7 seconds

How have you guys forgotten the most epic PC game coming out next year. Elder Scrolls : SKYRIM
-
Its not so much about the stands falling over its about the pins snapping and the car dropping down like that poor fella who died underneath his 300ZX when that happend.
-
I'm sure the poor bastards who had their pin style jack stands collapse thought they were nice and sturdy till the car dropped on them. There was a recall from Repco a while back for their home branded pin type jackstands, so personally I would rather put some rims or a lump of wood underneath rather than rely on a dodgy jack stand.

All I can say is how much did that cost and I want my interior to look like that.

Google is your friend

I enjoyed them too, whenever I end up behind a Camry at the front of a set of lights my god do they take off slow, the semi in the left lane next to them hit 60km/h before the Camry did.

+1 Its interesting that you cant have a Jaguar on the front of your car because its a pedestrian hazard yet you can have a bull bar which is much more dangerous.

Get the PC version and give it about 48 hours

"hacking" Electronics - Piracy Or Innovation
FrangaR33 replied to EeLeYe's topic in PC & Games Discussion
Personally I am all for hacking the consoles for homebrew applications theres nothing wrong with using a piece of technology to its full potential after you've paid your hard earned cash for it. But theres the downside, the idiots at Sony for instance never thought someone would be smart enough to hack their console. Now I cant play Modern Warfare 1 or 2 without ending up on a server with hackers with aimbots, jumping 60ft into the air, unlimited ammo etc. The worst part is the f**kers ruined my kill death ratio that sat at 3.07 which I was quite proud of, some hacker thought it would be funny that everyone who played against him got a 1.7 K/D ratio and 9999 killstreak, and according to infinity ward theres nothing they can do. /end rant -
Thats why I love my headset with the seperate volume control for chat

Xbox And Forza3 Or Ps3 And Gt5?
FrangaR33 replied to No Crust Racing's topic in PC & Games Discussion
I still own all 3 consoles (Wii, 360, Ps3) and by far the best is the PS3. Never had any hardware problems with it, free online play and blu ray player. Have had 2 360's break on me over 20 times in the last 4 years each time I had to repair myself because microsoft always found a way for it to not be covered under warranty. I go between the two 360's when I can be bothered repairing them for the millionth time and just swap the hard drives over, meanwhile the Ps3 just works and keeps on working. I like both the 360 and the PS3 both have their own great exclusives but at this juncture if I could only have one console it would be the Ps3, save myself $70 a year in online fees and the thing doesnt break all the f**king time. -
+1 its truely remarkable they can get the A.I to do that but then fail to overtake opponents on a straight when your car has 2x as much power.
-
To be completely fair thats offensive to people who have down syndrome. This guy just cant learn a simple lesson.
-
Dont bother just get a program called DVD43 it will decrypt its regioness and let you watch it your PC, my Gf uses it on her laptop because we buy Dvd's from Amazon USA
-
I had the exact same problem as in that video, exact same car and track too. B-Spec mode fails, you have a car thats so much faster that you easily blitz the other drivers on the straights in A-Spec, but the B-Spec driver cant even do that.
-
My brothers mental 300rwkw VT SS LS1 was the car I felt the most acceleration G force in car, that thing was scary fast off the line 0-100 in a little over 4 seconds but the hit from 0-60 or 70 that was epic.

+11ty My mum had an Acer and it was nothing but trouble sure its cheap to buy but then its constant misery after that. Also my high school gave Acer the contract for all the schools laptops my god was that full of fail half of them were broken most of the time
-
My VP Commodore has done 335,000km's and is still on its first engine and gearbox, although I have had mates that have had Commodores that have done well over half a million km's.
-
+ 1 also ring around your local Holden dealers for things like rear lights for a current model to work out prices, because of the Pontiac G8 you can pick them up in the states for something like a third of the price here. A mate of my brothers was looking for some replacements even with shipping it still ended up being less than half the price. So you could definetly make some cash.
