  2. ^ Great to know, email sent. Cheers Greg
  3. ^ i shall try to track proengines down, (if they have only moved) Thanks for that blitz, sorry i should of looked before. Cheers
  4. ^ do you have there number blitz??
  5. I have heard proengines have shut down.
  6. What car/engine? I take it to an auto electrition. Should only be an eletrics issue.
  7. So it doesn't just slide out of the transfer case? I thought it did, it gets a far amount of travel in it. But that would explain it. Cheers.
  8. This looks great, i will have to get one. Whats the minimum speed set? My sisters only goes down to 60, but 40+ would be good cause school zones are painful. And what is the maximum? again mysisters is gay and wont let you set it higher than 109km/h which is gay for highway as i like to do about 115.
  9. Tried to get my rb26 out of my r32gtr today, but it was like it was court on something. Both drive shafts are out and front engine mounts with the gear box mount lowered. It comes forwards about half an inch but doesn't seem to want to go much more. The drive shaft to the transfer case is still in but I assume that will just come out as the engine moves forwards. I can get to the point where I can see light between the engine and bell housing from the top. Any recommendations would be great. Also what colour are standard injectors in the 26? I was told yellow but mine are a pinkie purple. Thanks for your time. Regards Keith
  10. ^^ so true VB so True...
  11. Cheers, thanks for your input i shall check it out.
  12. I love my v8's nothing like them, I own the best of both worlds and have to say there is a place for both. My 289 mustang does wicked burnouts makes lots of noise and is Soooooooooooo Sexy! However my r32 gtr is quick on the track and in a line. At the end of the day, V8's are something special. Not saying that 2.6L TTurbos aren’t. Keep in mind that today’s F1 cars are running a V8, and do 19grand... (Which they are limited too by FIA rules) Having said all that they are using "2.4 litre V8" not a massive capacity and I bet this engine puts out more power than your work mates V8. I guess what I am saying is there is a place for small engines and for larger. Get over it.
  13. I am just about ready to send my engine of to be built and i have a few quotes and know the parts i want however i have heard a few story about my first choise engine builder. ACT region is preferible but a trip to sydney (or melburne If Highly Recommended) Just getting a basic rebuild and head service. New rods, pistons, and n1 oil pump. + bore etc
  14. Hey guys i am almost ready to get the engine out of my 32 GTR but i can see how i get the right hand drive shaft out of the front diff??? do i have to take off the wheel and remove the shaft that way? Cheers guys
  15. Good thinking, Cheers thanks heaps for that!
  16. Guys, I am pulling out my RB26 from my 32gtr, I dont plan on taking the gearbox out with the engine so i must disconnect the bell housing from the block whilst in the engine bay. I cant seem to see how i am giong to get the top 2 bolts out with a standard spanner or rachet as their is not enough room. What tools are recommend? Also i assume that i must take off the right hand side wheel assembly to get the axel out of the diff? Other than that the engine is ready to come out. Thanks for your help guys. Keith I will take pics if it helps.
  17. After reading peoples post i think i shall aim for between 300rwkw and 400rwkw. the car will be used for a monthly strip/ track day with the odd friday night/weekend drive.
  18. How much bigger for the sump extention? 5liters?
  19. I will be happy with around 250awkw's, if money permits building a bigger motor later i might do that. Do people recomend upgrading the oil pump? or is the stock pump fine? Cheers
  20. No problem in this engine, RB26 138,140,15,140,138,140 Thinking rebuild.
  21. as far as power i will be looking (in time) for the 1000hp fly wheel power, Thus the rods. So i am woundering how much the crank can take reliably? For now i will just have standard cams and heads so i am not expecting much. 3 to 400 rwkw would be nice
  22. Trojan motor sports in canberra, they do alot of high performance work on liners and i have been recomended by just about everyone.
  23. Not aiming high hp yet the engine will have stock heads. its got hks turbos ATM not sure of type. I am just making sure i have all the (major) parts i need. Just after a bullet proof bottem end.
  24. Hi guys, I am just about to rebuild my Rb26 from my r32 gtr and i am just getting prices and considering other brands. If there is anything else i need please let me know. What i have in mind so far, CP piston Includes rings, pins, locks Eagle RB25/26 H-beam Conrods ARP 2000 bolts ACL Gasket set Conrod bearings Main bearings And i intend on upgrading my oil pump at the same time, Not sure what else i will need from a 93 rb26? N1 Oil pump Jun Crank collar I was also woundering how much power the standard crank and block can take? Thanks heaps for you input. Reason for rebuilding is my current compression, is as follows, Cyl 1 138psi Cyl 2 140psi Cyl 3 15psi (no typo) Cyl 4 140psi Cyl 5 190psi (with oil in cyl) Cyl 6 138psi All readings are with an egine that hasn't been driven in a few weeks with the exception of Cyl 5 that had some oil placed in the chamber to see what the compression would be like.
  25. I personaly would prefer new, if you have the money you are getting what you pay for. If you buy a second hand/ rebuilt turbo you might not be getting what you are paying for. However you might be getting a better deal. I prefer new.
