  1. That's what I thought (point 3). However, the story I heard was slightly exaggerated in that "You never have to pump up your tyres again"
  2. Has anyone ran nitrogen in their tyres?
  3. Just filled up with 95 for $1.42/litre so I will see what mine is when I fill up again. Haven't measured it before but I noticed I got 220km from just over 1/4 tank (from 1/2 way, down to 1/4), so I reckon I should get 600 from a tank
  4. $200 isn't as bad as I thought, I would pay that, albeit reluctantly.. Guess I will put it on the list. Might have to buy a few as my Mrs loses keys every 2 weeks.
  5. +1 on needing BC's. My standard suspension is fine on smooth roads but its like a "jumping castle" on bumpy roads.
  6. Yeah cheers guys, did a search but didn't really find a clear answer.... I am after one with a remote, I might just ask Nissan (Sterling) to see what they charge Read it was like $400 though!!!!!!!
  7. That car is a fail to me! It looks awesome, but.... I want a car I can actually drive, this is much more important to me than my car looking 'tuff' in a photo. I definitely don't want any scraping at all. Wouldn't get up my driveway in that thing
  8. I only got 1 key with my ARX-4. Does anyone know where I can get a spare? I imagine I can get one from Nissan, but they probably charge like $58,000! PS. I am in Adelaide.
  9. Did you get the respray? I am tossing up whether to do this or not? The front bar on the white one looks a bit funny but the rest looks OK.
  10. I have been enquiring about tyres and wheels lately I'm not sure if rolling stock is the same for AXIS, but to fit an ARX You need 245/40R20 or 245/45R19 Best (cheapest) cheapest option seems to be Falken 452. at around $280 per tyre for the 19's and a bit over $400ea for 20's. They are pretty odd sizes and from there it onll goes up 5,6,700 per tyre!!!! ouch. I was set on 20's but those prices are putting me off. 255/40R20 would only be 5mm bigger (legally you can go 15mm difference max) but not sure if these would be too wide for an 8 inch rim?
  11. I don't think you will see any difference in quality if you get a HDMI to RCA or composite converter unless you are running a 50 inch screen in your car?
  12. Don't you have to change pretty much the whole centre part of the dash with a non ARX model? I have read on here that you will need around $1k all up to do it. Someone please correct me if I am wrong
  13. Have you been checking your fuel economy lately to do a 'before and after' comparison?
  14. Has anyone got pics of an ARX with guards bumper, skirts etc colour coded? I was thinking of doing this at some stage but didn't know if you would have to put some sort of primer on first to smooth out the "texture" and whether it looks OK or not. Also what offset is aggressive? I am looking at some wheels (down the track) 20x8, they come in +30 or +45. AND by the way. the tan leather of the ARX is the best part!!!! It's why I went for an ARX....... then again, I am old (not in my 20's anymore)
  15. Sweet. I will have stock power for a little while yet.. Still have to get: boot mat (don't laugh, I know its not an upgrade but still a few $) Brake upgrade (RDA slotted + QFM HPX pads) BC Suspension Rims and Tyres. Then Intercooler/exhaust etc. Of course, this is all pending approval from the Minister for Finance!
  16. I am thinking I will go the RDA slotted rotors as mentioned above plus the QFM HPX pads. Is anyone else running that combo? I would just go RDA pads green stuff), but a few people on here have said they aren't that good. Then again, a mechanic I was going to get to do the install said the QFM pads are no good..... He said they need to get real warm to work ? ? ? So I have no idea. I won't be doing any track work or super heavy driving so I reckon the above combo should be good.
  17. Thanks heaps Dunc! I was literally searching for two hours...... maybe I read a few threads more than once due to the red wine
  18. Hi guys, I have been searching for hours but I can't find the part numbers for the RDA slotted rotors for M35 (front and rear), like the ones this guy is selling: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370435686762 Also, would the cheaper QFM pads be fine for normal driving?
  19. I have a work phone with 3. I think they are terrible considering I can't get service in my house sometimes and I am in the middle of Adelaide suburbia, 15km from the CBD! I didn't know GPS was free, cheers for that. I would probably go the offline route as I find the phone unreliable, $50 is pretty cheap and discounted prices from google cough may be even cheaper. Good thread, lots of food for thought so far.
  20. That would be good. Cheers
  21. Hey does anyone that is going to the SA Cruise have an M35 with BC coilovers? I would love to check them out 'live' before forking out for them.
  22. Sweet. I reckon I might go down this route for my car. I was going to get a GPS unit and then separately get a spec doc for music. But I reckon getting it all in one like this would be a better option. Could also just get one of those GPS units that have MP3 players and an FM transmitter for music. Im not sure if the ARX stereos have AUX in in the back? Also, do you have to subscribe to get GPS or you just get it free?
  23. Cheers, at least I know it hasn't been ripped out.
  24. Looks awesome Sage. One question, how do you get GPS, do you need a mobile internet account or something? or does it run through a wifi hotspot with your phone?
  25. Hey Gazza, Did you replace your ARX suspension with BC's ? How is the ride now?
