Hi all, Car: R34 Series 2 Alarm: Autowatch 446Rli Battery: Marshall battery (less than a mth old) About a mth ago my car battery died for no reason. Battery was from Japan (i imported the car) hence i didn't complain much. Bear in mind i'm a weekend driver and i usually start my car every 3-4 days. After changing to a Marshall battery, all is well until an hour ago when i tried to start the car like i usually do, the battery is now dead AGAIN !!! It's a brand new battery which is less than a month. When i tried to start the car i noticed the battery meter is howering at 10 at the battery gauge. After a few tries, it's currently sitting at 8. The interior lights are working but not my hid / parkers. Ok, here's the thing, when i insert the key into the ignition i keep hearing this sound every 5-10 seconds from my alarm's hub (tick, tick, tick). Is there anything wrong with the alarm? Is the alarm draining the battery ? Is it a grounding issue ? Is my ecu fked?? What i can say is the battery will most likely be alive again after a jump start but i'm afraid this might occur again in the future. Any recommendations as to where i can get my car's alarm to be looked at, at WA ? Please advise guys

Yeah, i'll be sticking to the Ryco ones. Will be changing the plugs on that day as well but not to sure to go for the copper ones or the iridium ones.

Hey mate, what about Trust oil filter? My mate reckons Trust oil filters are pretty alright -$25 from Vision R from memory. He didn't have a pleasant experience with the Ryco ones. Last time i heard, the Ryco rubber broke right after he changed his oil and his garage ended up with oil, wasn't a pretty sight : D

Hey mate, If that's the case, count me in for the Z145A oil filter. Any idea how much it's gonna be ? I already bought a Motul oil so all should be fine. What else do you guys reckon i should check for? Teo

Hi Guys, A bit off topic. I've just got my 34 last February/March. It went thru compliance etc and up till now i've yet to service it. You guys reckon should i do anything to it - i.e. change oil filter, fuel filter, etc on that day? Mostly gonna be coming to the venue just to catch up and observe : D

Didn't know Bunnings rent out ute O_O Wil ldefinately give em a call tmr It's basically from Kardinya to Carousel then back to Kardinya, less than 45 mins for the round trip. Dif would be able to fit into a stn wagon. It's a plastic fb : ) Me and my mate will trash it after it has served its purpose: D don't think ute. more like tow trucks

Am afraid i might break it hence the ute. Cheapest i can find is Myaree Ute hire at 67 bucks. What a rip off for an hr's trip !!!

It should be noted that carbon fibre bonnets are illegal as they can have huge changes on frontal impact and pedestrian impact safety. For instance, depending on the carbon cloth used, the carbon fibre bonnet may be more likely to cut into a pedestrian rather than bend and buckle like a metal bonnet From what i've heard CF shatters upon impact and the pieces are more likely to become flying shrapnel but meh, i'm still getting it. Stuff the pedestrians : D
