  1. Hi guys, Saw someone selling this in Yahoo Auctions Any ideas on how we can mod the r34 climate control like the pics ? I remembered doing this once with my calculator back in high school using some sort of tint film Pls find the direct translation from the item listing: Liquid crystal reversal ?R34 skyline* Air conditioner ?U30 [puresajiyu]* [basara] Commodity explanation The polarizing plate seal which reverses the letter of the liquid crystal indicatory part of the air conditioner switch (single sided starching to come) is. 1st is image after the operating. 2nd sending being able to point, it becomes the article which it receives. Disassembling the panel, itself peeling off the genuine polarizing plate, it is necessary to remove the paste which remains and to stick the reversal polarizing plate.

  8. Got mine done thru San Diablo alarms but i think he's sold his business already. It's a backyard job so wouldn't really recommend. Guy never fixed an alarm for a R34 Series 2 and blamed my car was a bitch to install - pfffttttt talk about professionalism. Took longer than expected and he overcharged me as well. Would advise you guys to heard to Alberts Myaree. Went to there to sort out a initial wiring problem from the first installation. Forgotten the guy's name but the guy who attended to me is the only alarm specialist there and he knows his shit !! Total for the alarm, sensors, keypad and boot release comes from the first install to approx $650 if i'm not mistaken. Had to spend another $80 4 months later to replace a module - the San Diablo guy installed the module where rain water will run thru hence it started to give out false alarm (wat a noob !!) Having said that, if you already have an autowatch alarm adding the keypad will prob. be less than $200. Just ask around.

  13. yup turned 180 degrees , 360 degrees , etc and still no light
  14. Hi Chris, Anyway to solve this polarity problem? The installation is pretty easy if you asked me so i doubt i did anything wrong (see pics)
  15. Yeah bought it at ebay. Starnge thing is it works in all my mates car but not mine. The middle light or should i say roof light uses the 31mm festoon light. Correct on the BA9S, i believe they work on one way as well (polarity)

  17. Need help. Trying to change my standard BA9S bulbs to led ones (see pic 1). The lights are located in front of the passenger and driver. I tried to install the lights - a process which takes less than 1 min but there's no lights at all. The bulb is not faulty as i've tried it on my mate's s15, toyota corolla and via a 12V car battery via the + and - polarity. The original BA9S bulb(s) works fine as well when i reinserted them back to the slot (see pic 3) As you can see from the pics, the installation is pretty straight forward and there's no way you can mix up the polarity. + goes to the bottom tip and - goes to the metal casing. Any suggestions guys ?
  18. my exhaust is above 90db and a mate said its illegal to put a silencer on it is that true - technically speaking it's illegal if it's more than 90db. If i'm you go for the silencer if you don't want to be hassled by cops also i have a blitz pod filter is it best to case it or change it to a normal air filter - pod is fine. gains a couple of hp are both of you P platers ?
  19. ebay is yr best bet at 90 bucks + postage i think
  20. Changed my indicators to clear ones hence i have the stock amber ones lying around. Bulbs are included as well. The indicators have been modded to fit R34 Series II bulb housing. Am pretty sure it'll fit back to those with R34 Series I housing Please see pics for more detail Asking for $30 + pp if required Am located SOR of Perth

  23. oh one more thing, if the coil packs are not secured properly will the fault codes show as 55 as technically speaking there's nothing faulty with the coils but just a loose connection right ?
  24. will recheck the coilpacks to see if they are secure properly this weekend i doubt it's the spark plugs as i've just changed em 3 mths ago from copper to iridiums
  25. Tried opening my kick panel to check on the ecu but it seems to be stuck. NFI so i'm trying the pin method via the fuse box under the driver's dash Tried the pin method and ............... 5 short blinks and 5 fast blinks which means code 55 - no malfunction Ok now what guys ? p.s. This test was done without driving the car for 10 minutes to warm up the car. Will this give out a false reading (55) ?
