  1. thinking of changing my exhaust system for a more quieter but high flow exhaust. my system is a 3.5" from the turbo into a 3.5" cat into 3.5" stainless steal cat back into a cannon with 4" tip. its all no name but custom made for the car. From the cat its one solid piece all the way to the tip have a dyno sheet somewhere but with previous exhaust car made on a slipping clutch 230rwkw. with custom exhaust car made 236rwkw. exhaust is a little loud. sounds awesome at full tap but very high flow. im looking at getting a racepace exhaust made up for my car hence the EOI. price wise im looking at around $800 for the full exhaust. postage will be a bitch cause as mention the cat back is one piece from the cat all the way to the tip. the exhaust is in great condition. no leaks or damage anywhere. just the usual minor scuff on the underside of the cannon. will post pics this weekend

  7. by "modifying" the factory snorkel you will actually be making it thinner so your making it more restrictive. i was int he same boat as you. had a front mount that ran form under the battery and wanted to make it legal. even if you have a factory air box your FMIC setup is still illegal because you have a hole cut out under your battery tray. in order to make this 100% legal you have to get it engineered and it does not pass all the time. and it does cost a fair bit to get it engineered. what i then did was sell my FMIC setup and bought a return flow FMIC from justjap and this uses your factory pipes. and your air box fits and the snorkel does not need to be modified. that by far is the safest and best route to follow in my books. if you open your bonnet it will look stock as a rock. only was would be is to look through your front bar.
