if you go to TTF in Dandenong do not let them put the wheels on your car. buy it and get it balanced and all butt hats it. last 5 cars iv sent in there we got the car back with cross threaded studs, damage to front bar of car, damage by rolling wheels across the workshop which went of track into one of our cars, dropped a torque wrench on the bonnet, grease mark in the interior. most of it was fixed by them but after a lot of unneeded hassales and i can keep going on and on and on. they have a good range of wheels you can get for cheap but customer service is shit and they do not care about customer cars unless your spending a stupid amount there. if you do go there and get them to do the work at least stay back and watch them working on your car making sure they don’t f**k up the simplest things

im in the market for GTR also now. but will most likly go the non Vspec. can justify spending an extra few grand on diffusers and minor changes. a GTR is a GTR. awesome in everyway

not looking at doing much to any power mods really. plenty of high powered GTRs out there and im not interested in porung a heap of money to make it stupid quick. as posted most ill do is exhaust and suspension mods, rims and make it look as tough as Aarons Vspec. and having already owned a quickish GTT (to me) im not really looking for another high powered car. just something that is perfect out of the factory box and to me the GTR is exactly that. sure it wills till get cop attention but atleast 98% of it will be legal. not saying the evo will be any different but ye i <3 GTR

well took an evo 9 for a test drive today. have made up my mind. will be going with the GTR drove the evo for about half an hour and it just didnt get me feeling all excited that i was driving an evo. with the GTR it was a totally different feeling. as someone posted earlier that when you drive it its like a special drive. i dunno cant explain but ye have made up my mind GTR=WIN

typhoon wins hands down. for ver little $$ if you do full exhaust, cooler and a flash edit you would be looking at close to 300rwkw and it will handle it with no problems at all. clutch might give but thats not an issue. to get similar power out of the GTT you will be spending well over 5k for that. and that is not promising any reliability. but if your not that worried about power and love handling better then with little spending get it up to 200rwkw and some decent coilovers and rubbers and it will run rings around the typhoon in handling as it wont feel as boat like. owning a GTT with okayish power and decent set of coilovers i love the way it handles. out runs mates FPV through the twisites in no time. but come the straights then bye bye me lol. so if yuo want power go the typhoon. if you want handling go the GTT. (buy my gtt lol)

factory. the GTR i drove was in full factory trim with no mods done what so ever. the evo is the same.

yeap will keep you all informed. but tbh im still being pulled towards the GTR lol. but ill decide after the drive. nsm034 im very very very far away from kids, not even 25 yet lol. but yes that was also what i was thinking that having owned a 2 door car for just over 3 years now it does kinda become a pain. but then again im not buying a car to cart ppl around. still have time before i have to start thinking about family and all so plenty of time for me to play

you could have sugar coated that for me a little...you're so harsh on me hamish lol yes im leaning over to the GTR and some very good points posted. again like i said only performance mods will be cooling and exhaust and thats it. mainly will be focused on handling mods. wont be doing too much track work but will see the occasional track days. still undecided.

well im selling my GTT and im looking for a car that i can drive as a daily (as i have been with my 34) and drive it down to the track with little to no changes, do my thing and drive it back home (if i havent put it into a wall or anything lol) so i started looking at an evo. at first i was looking at an evo 8 MR but seeing that forking out a little bit more gets me into an evo 9. its newer and has all the things the 8 mr has and maybe a little more (still reading into this). but i have always been a skyline person and my mates made me realise and are changing my mind and pointing me towards an R34 GTR and ye i LOVE the GTR's. to me both are awesome cars. both will keep me happy. i dont know which way to go. my budget has slowly been increasing lol but have set it now in concrete between $45-$50k help me decide plox not going to do much performance base mods apart from exhaust, breathing and cooling. i will focus more on handling mods for whatever the next car will be. ta Ash
