If it was a big end you would notice it under load. You say it goes away when you give it some.Doesn't sound like big ends sounds like it could be a lifter.
Tension the head bolts working from the centre out .Don't tension them to the correct tension on the first run, take them down to say 3/4 of the specs then run over them again doing them up to the correct tension ,whatever that may be.Hope that makes sense.
Thanks CWEST, gives me an idea what mine is likely to run.I am running 1 bar boost, 3" stainless exhaust, Blitz FMIC so I would imagine mine would do low 14's.Might go out and give it a run one day.
Once you have waxed or polished your car try the meguires final finish. It comes in a spray bottle you lightly mist the panels and rub off it gives the paint a nice deep shine. The guys that have show cars use it quite a lot.Very easy to use .Meguires yellow wax is very good to a lot of panel beaters use it.
I use a towels to dry my car off then I use the meguires final finish.
Turn the air con on and get some air freshener and spray it down under the dash somewhere near the air intakes it sucks the spray through the system.Presto nice smelly air.
Start the car get a cake of soap and hold it on the sides of the belts whilst the motor is running. This will normally stop fan belt squeal and it doesnt hurt the belt.Worth a try.
Good Muz I was going to ask him those questions.I am getting a set from Japan for $200 full set adjustable height and damper.
Cannot remember the name ,my son has organised it through his mate who imports a bit of gear.Even if they need to be rebuilt it's still cheap.
