That is one reason I carry an old doona around in my boot so i can throw it over the roof. The bonnet and boot can be replaced if it is to badly dented. Try one of the dent busters they can pop most of them out with out repainting.

Need Insurance? Want Cheaper Insurance?
NIZR34GTT replied to two40's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ok guys give AON Ph 1300134 256, a go I have been insured with them for two years and had a claim in that time. I have my R34 GTt insured with them agreed value for $40,000 and it cost me $745 my excess is $300 and I get one windscreen replacement without affecting my no claim bonus. I am an old fart so maybe that is why it is as low as it is. Drawback you have to use there recommended repairer.I did not have a problem with that when I made my claim it was done with a minimum of fuss and the repairs were carried out to my satisfaction. I must add I am like most a very fussy car owner like most of you. I do not work or get any commision from AON I am just putting my experiences with them so you can make your own judgement. If you want to ring them fine you may save some money. Report back to the forum if you ring them and let eveyone else know how you went with prices,it will be very interesting to see the results. -

I would say if the guy has got the money let him buy mine ,so where is he. Seriously I just got my insurance on my car $745 per year agreed value $40,000 $300 excess plus one windscreen allowed. I must addmit I am a bit on the old side so that may make the difference to the premium. You can pay it monthly as well.By the way I have been with them 2 years now. Probably a draw back some may say, you have to take your car to there recommended repairer.I was happy with the repairs on mine when I made a claim this year,no problems. My premium actually was less this year even after my claim. I do not work or have anything to do with the insurance company nor do I get a commision. So if any of you are interested indicate then I will post the Company and phone number. I am not recommending this insurance company or saying they are any better then any other one. I am just letting you how they have dealt with my claims and how much I pay. -

Still Misfiring. Not Plugs, Not Coil Packs, What else?
NIZR34GTT replied to ix9's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi I had the same problem with my R34 it was missing like hell at about 4800 to 5000 revs.I replaced the plugs with Platinum and gapped them at 0.8. I also suspected one of the coils might have been arking across to the cylinder head as well so I taped the stem of the coil pack with insulation tape,Hey presto going like a train no miss. Maybe I should take the tape of the packs to see if it gets the miss back. I had a very similar problem with a Telstra Ghia a few years ago. So maybe worth a try. -
Go on Muz put them on cover all that black paint up.

Which intercooler to pick for a R34 GT-T
NIZR34GTT replied to adznight's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Adzmax, Reason I asked where you were I would have shown you how to install it. -
Just that the rubber compresses over time. Don't tighten them to much as it just squeeze the rubber out of shape.

Iwas wondering is there anyway to check the coil pack with out taking them out.? I have got the same problem with the missfire. And if it is a coil pack does anyone know where I can get a new one or second hand one for an R34 GTt. I put new platium plugs in and the problem seems to have got worse.I will pull the plugs out and re check the gap.

Which intercooler to pick for a R34 GT-T
NIZR34GTT replied to adznight's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Adzmax we fitted the cooler in about 4 hours there is a bit of mucking about. Main problem is the metal brace across the grill that has to be cut a little to fit the cooler. But if you have an angle grinder it is no problem. Also the front bumper has to be cut back slightly ,but I supose it depends on the type you have on your car. All in all a pretty simple fit. Just purchased the complete Blitz Cooler kit and away we went, took about 4 hours,we did not rush the job. The piping connects directly back to the original piping. Where are you located? -

NIZR34GTT replied to adznight's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi I fitted a Blitz to my R34 and it works a treat. The pipes plumb back into the original holes it does not go over the top of the fan. A bit of cutting on the front bar but other then that pretty easy to install. Got mine from Auto Barn as they are the agents now for Blitz. -
Try about $600 or more for the R34.

Here is his ratings page from EBAY he looks to be OK. http://cgi2.ebay.com.au/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.d...ecarperformance

He sells a lot of Hybrid inter coolers on Ebay Australia.I was going to buy one of him but he wanted me to deposit the money into an account in US dollars, sounded a bit dodgy to me so did not go through with the deal.

So doesn't yours tell you oil capacities basic maitenance, what items need doing at different intervals. Just thought it would be of assistance to those who don't have the booklet. I made this offer, if people want to take it up it is up to them,if not that is fine. Maybe you should buy the complete workshop manual R34 GTT-R it is very cheap somthing like $600.

Hi if anyone is interested in a copy of the original R34 user hand book please PM me the only cost will be the photo copy expenses and postage. I got the original with my car and it is interesting reading ,give specifications and service intervals and items that have to be attended to. Gives a fair bit of information on other specs as well. Just remember this is not a workshop manual. I have actually seen some one selling these on ebay for more then $40.I just thought that was a bit steep. I am sure it would cost a lot less to copy the manual. Anyway the offer is there I am not out to make money.I am trying to help fellow skyline owners. Not sure what photo copying is worth these days ?

13.4 second 1/4 for your 'stockish' R33. (A how to guide).
NIZR34GTT replied to rev210's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just finished reading the threads guys ,great stuff from some who really seem to know there stuff. Just my bit on BOV I had a Turbo Smart Type 2 fitted to my R34 I could never seem to adjust it correctly and therefore the car ran like a dog.I have since removed it and gone back to the factory one and now the car runs ever so sweet. In fact it would be safe to say the car has never run so well. -
Will ask my son he knows where every thing is jetdat.

Sounds like it could be a blown manifold gasket.

Probably not the place to post these type of allegations the guy is organising a cruise not getting his engine overhauled. He is not getting paid to do this. And it turned out to be a very good one at that. If the mechanic got caught don't you think he might have been silly to give credit in the first place. Just my thoughts.
