how much did the rest of that system cost you if you dont mind me asking?

Well as some of you may or may not know... a month or two ago my R33 was hit in the ass while i was parked at a red light. after that incident the car ended up like this: I then sold the car onto a friend who has taken to attempting to fix it up to use as a drift/track car or even re register it and drive it. His progress so far: 1. Cut into bits 2. bent up boot floorpan replaced 3. Shell re-attached and taced on Still alot of work to go yet obviously, but its coming along nicely I was estimated $8000 - $11000 to have this repaired at a body shop. So far he has spent $500 on a quarter cut from a wreckers and a fair few days of his time. Next step is full weld up, grind back, then a million hours of sanding. Just thought some of you guys might be interested as i think he's done a top job so far. (he has never attempted any body work bar flaring guards with a guard roller before) Cheers Steve

i thought about it also, but at $1000 for a catback system or $200 for a rear oval muffler the choice was pretty easy, considering the rest is already there

yeah seems to be the way to go. i was actually looking at the magnaflow versions on that site. they're a bit more pricey though. anyone know if theres a huge difference? i'll probably change to an oval muffler either single or twin tipped. then if i need more quietness i'll throw a mid muffler in aswell

do you have a mid muffler also on your setup? looking to do the same thing also as mine is 3" all the way through with only a canon and its way to loud. would putting a oval muffler at the end instead of canon be the best? or leave the canon and go mid muffler? or change both? its just way to loud and droney at the moment sorry to jump in on your thread... just thought it'd be better than starting another one for pretty much the same thing

good news man most likely taking the 34 there for nistune soon so its good to hear some positive feedback about them beforehand. Al the email dealings that ive had with Rick have been great so far anyway

they wont fit up, the metal pipe looks completely different. Best bet i'd say it to saw off/shorten the original pipework, and run some new hose onto the connectors. or just ditch the pipe work in the 3rd pic and run new hoses to the intake pipe. see what mint33 says though, as im just taking a guess here haha

new tyres helped me alot also. did the swap with the wheels from my old 33 to check first. another thing i noticed last night... i have volk gtcs and the centrebore on the rim is larger than the hub. I put some hubcentric rings over the hub to fit the wheel better. now my shakey/dodgey steering at 100km/h+ has gone away. Still pulls a little to the left, but it doesnt seem quite as bad now. What wheels are you running? another thing for you to look at maybe?

funny you mention that, just noticed my driver side rear is slightly higher than the other side. i'll need to get that adjusted too. haha

man that sucks im no help, i have no idea what it could be. i guess i'll see how i go when i take my car in, i'll try fulcrum first. I'll be having a hicas lockbar put on aswell, so i'll let you know how that goes. Is your steering fairly neutral? i found while driving at about 100kms i can swing the wheel left and right a few centimeters with little to no feedback. and once i get to 110kms it starts getting a bit shakey Maybe the car has hit a curb at some point and something got bent?

its the hillcrest fulcrum. Its handy because its a 10min walk home from my place while i wait. whereas driveline is a 15 or so min drive. but if they want to drop me home and stuff im all for it haha I asked fulcrum about installing my hicas lock bar before the alignment and the guy was a little confused about it. had to explain it all to him, which makes me a little worried.

ive heard its usually just under $1000 or there abouts installed and tuned, depends on how long it takes to tune

wow, should of put my car on ebay... sold it to a mate with pretty much exact same damage condition, extra paint etc but repairable write off for less than that. oh well, its all in the past. Best of luck with the sale mate

hahaha, and to think i took this thread seriously get the angle grinder out, slowly carve away at the shell and attach one rocket as above

pod + heatshield, cold air intake front mount fuel pump nistune pretty much covers you. then its on to new turbos injectors etc bigger money stuff forced induction is your friend

ive got the same problem on my r34 gtt. had beaurepairs do an alignment. made zero difference. new tyres on front because the old ones had massive camber wear. that improved things heaps. but still pulling to the left and slightly shaky steering at 100+kmph was going to go to fulcrum to have another alignment done cause i dont really trust beaurepairs (was just close to work to try it quickly) but i might try this city suspension place. let me know how you go with them if you go there
