That is correct unless there is a way around it that I am not aware of.
Besides that you would have an RB26DETT so first up you'd need a QLD Modification plate for the engine conversion, then you'd need an RB25 box another mod code on your plate then depending on how fussy the guys are they look at the brakes and they usually will want at the very least an OEM brake up grade from the car that you have pinched the engine out of.
When I did the 26 conversion in my GTST I was pretty lucky as 32 GTR brakes are the same as 33 GTST and obviously had the box already.
Theres a lot of areas you can go wrong in this process especially if your attempting to do it yourself. First things first find out about the P Plate restrictions and if they effect you, second you'll need to source a half decent car then an ok condition 26 to suit then all the fun can start.
The conversion was alot more straight forward into my old GTST.... Was still a giant pain in the ass though
