Living in the North of the Sunshine Coast I have been pulled over at least 3 times a week. Once while reversing out of the driveway to pick up pizza. I have one speeding fine in my driving history (70 in a 60). I feel the level of attention depends on how busy the police force are in the area, and what they are cracking down on. One week before moving away from the sunny coast i was pulled over by a 'task force'. Bonnet up, boot open. "Where is your blowoff valve", i was asked. "Not sure i replied, but its all plumbed back into the system", pointing out the vent lines. The officer continued to redline the engine for 5 minutes. I politely asked him not to do that as it was not required. 10 minutes later had 5 police officers ''inspecting the car'. I ensured the sergeant that i have nothing to hide and that i am not out doing the wrong thing. He then told me that he has reasons to search the car. "Go for it". Soon after i was in handcuffs for hiding an illegal weapon. The "illegal weapon" was actually a mudling stick (I am a bar tender . As it was located next to my cocktail shaker and reaked of lime, redbull and midori i thought it was a legitimate explanation. "its a billy club isn't it, don't think your smarter than me", old mate replied. So.... on the side of the road, in hand cuffs, friends and family driving past beeping and texting about what is going on, (very embarrasing). The officer then explained that if i didn't show him where the blowoff valve is i would charged with holding an illegal weapon and that the car would be 'going over the pits". Thank Christ that one of the young officers then explained that the venting noise was coming out of the air intake and nowhere else. "I'll let you off with a warning", he said. Unable to bite my tongue any more i replied, "a warning for what exactly, that in your hand (the mudling stick) is a tool of my trade, i doubt you arrest every builder you pull over for carrying a hammer". To which he replied, "get in your poofter car and piss off, go hang with your hoon mates", i then asked for his badge number and he replied "so you wanna go over the pits then", i left without further incident. Whilst owning a skyline for 5 years my experience with the police has been very pleasant apart from one incident. The police in the north qld are awesome, have not been pulled over once in 6 months, nor should i be! Purchase your skyline, drive with respect for the car and others on the road and you should not have any problems. Sorry for the novel but i fell so much better!

Don't forget that you are now able to apply for an exemption as a P plater whilst driving a turbo. Check with your transport office to see if you fill the requirements...

Just ridiculous... Flat out crap. Truth is most people in this club take care of their pride and joy, on and off the street. Everyone member here does not condone illegal activity. Why is it that enthusiasts are targeted for 'hooning' and revenue raising. I hear of countless stories of skyline drivers pulled over for no reason what so ever. Isn't there legislation that exists to deter the enforcement department from targeting minority groups ie. skin colour? Why should the car you drive be any different. You can still hoon in a hyundai exel, 68kmph in a 60 zone for example. Jeez, you get a lesser fine for being caught with an illegal substance than not having an 'elevated brake light'. I ask the question, "Which is more detrimental to society, drugs or brake lights"? Yes Yes, i got defected for no elevated brake light. I think they just want us all to drive mazda 3's and volvo's. Winge Whine Rant End.

Spotted a bunch of skylines on the way out from powercruise all lined up getting defect notices (including me ). The orange tickets were flying! Also spotted Becks having fun on the track, first time ive seen your car one the road, looks clean. Twas a great day out apart from being targeted. Plenty of other very nice skylines on the day, great turnout.

Spotted a very clean 33 GTR down beckman rd in Noosa, gave the skyline wave also a black 33 in Noosa parklands for the last week. Both very clean cars, its good to see people looking after their rides.

Spotted a silver 33 at the Noosa 24 hour servo while getting fuel, was parked behind you. Gave you the 'skyline nod' to no avail. Wheels had a really nice dish on them, twas a very clean car. Is it anyone on here?

i got pulled over the other night and the po po asked "is this one of those godzillas", i said 'nah', i asked 'had a good night so far", he said 'nah', he asked "you been drinking', i replied "yeah". After the reading i asked "am i over", he said "nah", i said "have a good one from here on in", he said "yeah, hope so, by the way is this an import?", i said "yeah" he replied "cool, see ya". The cops in Noosa rock. Been here 12 years and the only problem i have had was a cop from Nambour asking if i was racing, i said "nah" and that was it. You poor lads in the south must cop it dry,,,, without lube.

spotted a black 32, red 32, black 33 and white 34 cruising noosa parklands on the weekend. The black 32 sounded very angry blasting up 'the hill', actually they all sounded very nice. Good to see the north sunny coast boys enjoying their cars, keep it up.

Spotted a black 33 gtr and a maroon 32 in Noosa Parklands on Saturday. Looked like a car lovers BBQ or something . Also spotted a white 34 between cooroy and tewantin being closely followed by 2 cop cars.

the best option is to grab the gh2 contoller to play gh3. If you play on a high def TV there is a certain amount of lag that comes with wireless. Yes you can adjust it but i notice the wii is very slow, especially when the sound on the wii version of gt3 is only mono. The other two platforms are just great fun, Just to be picki, BTW 'raining blood' why would you make that harder than 'one'. pffffttt.

Ebay "leather" Seat Cover Group Buy
Mr Simmo replied to zimmi's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Which model of Skyline is the group buy organanised for, or are they happy doing it across the range -
Hyundai acsent with 15 inch chromies, pea shooter cannon, chopped springs, 5 guys wearing fluro head bands (looking like Duran Duran groopies, massive HSV sticker on the side yelling at an innocent guy driving to work in a 33 to take em' on off the line. Ha Ha Ha. For a 2003 model car i have never seen so much exhaust smoke. Did not even waste fuel on them......and i still cruised off in front of them without boost. What a laugh, made the rest of my night really enjoyable. Did i mention the massive drift wing. Wow, the hsv traction was unbelievable
