Hi Guys, I have been out of the scene for a while now, my last performance car was an RX3 13B Turbo which I sold 12 months ago. I owned an R32 GTR many, many moons ago (2002) and have wanted to buy another R ever since. Well, the time has come, I have bought a 2002 R34 GTR V-Spec II and am will be flying over to Perth and bringing her home in a few weeks. I am looking forward to getting involved with SAU VIC and have paid for a membership about a week ago, just waiting for it to come through. Here are a few photos, not very good ones and the car is really dirty, but you get the idea.

Just read that the last BNR34 produced at Tochigi was on the 29th of August 2002, VIN being BNR34 404495. So my car, if this is correct, was only 181 cars before the last - interesting.

It is not so much a full detail, more just cut and polish and clean to ensure the factory guards, bonnet etc all come up good after being in storage. Once it is back in Melbourne and registered I will then get a full detail done.

Everything is progressing really well. I have had the car fully inspected by JPC and everything passed with flying colours, including the compression test. I spoke to Danny on the phone for a while about the car and all good. Collin has booked it in for a check up tune with Allstar Garage and after that it is going off for a full detail, cut, polish etc. I am flying over in the 1st week of October to personally pick her up and put on a truck back to Melbourne. I can't speak for any of the other people who have had issues on this forum and also know there is two sides to very story, to be honest, I do not want to get involved at all. But I can speak for myself and say that, to date, Collin has been good to deal with and I am still confident all is well and on track for the 1st week of October. Cheers, Shaun.

The car was originally worked on at JPC when owned by the previous owner - from what I understand it now is worked on by Allstar Garage. So yes, I would say JPC are independent as when I spoke to them on the phone they told me the above information. I have been told the 2530's have had a rebuild prior to installation. The car does not have the RIPS engine in it. The engine is still the original engine. So it appears just the turbos have been replaced.

All good. The car is going to JPC today for a full inspection and comp test, so we will see.

Issues with the motor?? I can't see any reference to any issues in either of the for sale posts? Can you point me in the right direction.

Should be fine, dealing with Collin ha been all good to date, we have been talking regularly.

Fark, sounds like, based on yours and others feedback, that I could be waiting a while. I think I am going to have to be a more flexible on colour. And thanks for the PM offer. No dramas. I am not going to be able to go that high with the $$$ so may have to wait a while to get th right car locally. Your right too on the number of cars going through auction, not many at all. For me, that would be like putting a Chevy badge on a Commonwhore I really like the black interior.

This is why I really am thinking I should stick with getting a VS2 instead of just a VS, I think the VS2 will hold its value better and for longer. I know I could get a more highly modified VS, but I think for me a less modified VS2 is where my money should go. I did not say I wanted an immaculate low K VS2. I am aware that a VS2 with low K's in immaculate condition is going to be more than $65k. But I am still confident I can find a well looked after VS2 for this money. A black one just sold in WA for $63k which was very clean and had 45,000 K's A blue one just sold a few weeks ago in TAS for $62k which was very clean and had 55,000 K's Thanks for the feedback. I agree that I have more luck locally, so I will have to be patient and keep my eyes open. I have noticed the prices in Japan holding firm. Most of the dealerships are selling them from anywhere around Y4.5m and up. I am still confident that if I can't find one locally I will find one through the jap auctions for the money I am looking at, but it may take a while for the right car at the right price to show up.

Hi guys, So it has been a few months now and I am still looking. I have decided that it is 100% a Bayside blue V-Spec II I want and missed out on a beautiful example in Tasmania recently. Anyway, it looks like I will now engage an importer and start looking in Japan as I could be waiting quiet a while to find a BB V-Spec II locally. I will let you all know how I go.
