getting 22 flashing lights on my attessa, anyone know what the issue is? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/442148-attessa-code-22-ets-oil-level-switch-or-circuit/
-
Hi guys, I fired up the car today and noticed I had a solid 4WD light on. I checked the attessa which flashed 22 times, which according to the manual is "ETS oil level switch or circuit" The Attessa fluid is above max, and the circuit appears to be fine as we checked it with a multimeter. I have three questions: - If the fluid is fine, are there any other issues I need to be aware of? - I can check the fluid levels myself, is there a way to bypass this sensor? - If the Attessa system has an error, does it turn off 4WD? This is probably my biggest concern as I can't test it until I get out to the track. Cheers guys.

Motorsport And Motion Sickness
JimmyRickard replied to PN-Mad's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
My brother used to race in Commodore Cup with a guy who would regularly barf halfway through a race in his helmet. So no it's not uncommon. If your near Caringbah at all, Cincotta Chemist has some really excellent sea sickness (same thing I guess!) tablets. My mum went on a cruise and gets sick just looking at the boats, but she took the tablets and was fine. Might be helpful -
Winmax W5 Brake Pads
JimmyRickard replied to JimmyRickard's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well I bought some. I'll let everyone know how I go -
18x10's with 265's

These are awesome. Gotta make do with what I've got! A couple of shots with some camber dialled in. I think the rears have a bit too much camber so we're sending it to east coast suspension to dial it in

Hi guys, I'm looking into getting some race brake pads for my D2 8pot brakes, and all the pads I have found are $500+ including D2 race pads. I came across the WInmax W5 brake pads at Motorsport Brakes which are only $300 for the set and are rated to 750C, which what DS3000's are rated to. I don't really understand brake compounds, is there any information here that would suggest these have comparable performance to DS3000's or similar? Also, how will the D2 supplied rotors hold up? And lastly, are these pads good value? Cheers

Pads For 8 Pot D2S
JimmyRickard replied to geetea-are's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Does anyone have a stencil of a D2 356mm brake pad? -
Thanks guys, will probably go with those internal drive nuts from ROTA, with plenty of camber. This is what they will end up looking like: I'm pretty happy I managed to find these in the size I wanted, it's about a close a match as I could hope for.

I did some measurements, and if I were to get a longer wheel nut, it would need to be 90mm long. What's the concern with inside lock nuts?
-
Just got a set of C5C's sent over from Japan, and my old wheel nuts don't appear to be long enough to screw on, as the head of the nut sits inside the hole too far in. Doing a bit of research, I found this pic: Anyone know what type of wheel nut is being used here? It looks like it is secured from the inside rather than screwed on the outside like normal.
-
Which ones do you mean? Got a pic?
-
Just found this pic. What kind of wheel nuts are these? Looks like they secure from the inside rather than the outside:
-
Tried fitting the C5C's. Got a few issues, one of which being the wheel nuts can't be secured as they aren't long enough. Also, not sure if they are going to fit under the guards when sitting on the ground. They have plenty of brake clearance though. Anyway, here's some photos: Anyone know where I can get super long wheel nuts?

Does anyone know if tuner warehouse still operates? They have the pads I want but I can't seem to get in contact with them

Rebuild Gtr Front Diff
JimmyRickard replied to jays r33 gtr's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Diffs are the next big ticket item on my agenda. I'm thinking shimmed rear and quaife front. Would be the best bang for buck option? If anyone is interested at all in digital g sensors, make sure you check out the Do-Luck DTMII. It has the same features as the Tarzan GBox but also uses throttle input to adjust the attessa. check it out here: http://www.r33gt-r.com/2013/10/do-lucks-dtm-ii-part-1-installation.html -
Pads For 8 Pot D2S
JimmyRickard replied to geetea-are's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
What model AP is it? -
Some timing huh, I just bought my rims not long ago! It's only a set of two though, and I would be looking long and hard to find another two to match. Thanks for that though much appreciated! How's the Primera coming along?
