  1. if you bought the car because the paint work looked shmick... most likely it had a fresh respray... by the looks of it it may have had a reaction under the clear... my boss had a HZ GTS and he got a custom paint job and over time (within a couple of weeks) the primer come up through the paint in some sections. which left small white spots. paid nearly $9,000! but water lookin marks could be a oily film under your clear or in the base coat which could mean it wasnt prep washed and rubbed dry before the clear coat was put on or in my case when i resprayed my front bar at one stage moisture from the roof of dripped down and made similar marks to yours... but it come up pretty much within a couple of hours of spraying, so i rubbed it back afterwards and hit it again with another couple of coats of clear
  2. Got one. thanks people
  3. hi, im after an air auxiliry chamber with solenoid in perfect working condition cheers 4drftn
  4. mine is good on fuel, it all comes down to how you drive it, when i was workin down town ways i would put $30 in and it would last nearly a week, but i noticed when late for work i would use nearly $30 in a day! i was told when on the highway (cruizin) to keep an eye on my boost gauge and keep it under a certain PSI (not labouring the motor), meaning i have to basically have my foot nearly off the accelerator or hovering, but does make a diff even though it sounds rediculus also it might come down to mods too, as i have bigger injectors, bigger turbo, bigger fuel pump bla bla bla... but ultimatly if your worried about fuel... get a daewoo
  5. hi, after passenger side window regulator/motor. in working condition ofcourse... must be able to post to tasmania 7140 thanks 4drftn
  6. i took my aac off and gave it a clean just like the link but it didnt help me... same problem. i rang a place and they told me to get a new aac... good luck if i can get one. but then again could be somethin else. i noticed tackin the brown plug off (rb25) it had a steady idle but dunno if it would do anything in the long run.
  7. not real sure on price, but one of my mates got one done at pro auto. i know in the end it cost him lots of pennies to get his motor rebuilt again...
  8. got the same problem... or though i went around and tightened all my FMIC clamps ect. and it ran alot better. as far as your bov goes i have an atmo bov and it ran like crap but after tightening the tension it ran alot better again, as far as O2 sensor ect. i run an aftermarket ecu and my sensor isnt even plugged in..., do you have an aftermarket ecu that controls air ect.?
  9. my interior light keeps blowing, check fuses and all every time i replace it... iv given up on it... hope ya sort it out, could help me heaps.
  10. i think they are made like that... here is a thing. i seen on a summernats dvd people with coloured tyres, i mean not the writing but the whole thing, like red and yellow etc. when they do burnouts the smoke is the colour of the tyres... looks cool gotta think yellow tyres make yellow smoke... and red tyres make red smoke... but black tyres make white smoke not black. anyways i think white writing on the tyres suit muscle cars like mustangs, corvettes and chargers etc.
  11. go to your local tyre dealer... i went there to get a set of wheels put on and i had volk racing rims and i forgot to give them the locking nut key but they had a bucket full of locking nut keys for all brands...
  12. automotive paint shop suppliers will make a touch up brush (like womens fingernail paint sorta) or a touch up kit. i got a touch up kit it had the paint in one small glass container, thinners in the other and touch up brushes...
  13. to replace my hks foam filter (200mm) i need to get a filter around abouts the same size... as a k&n style filter for example will be to long. are the apexi ones short but big filtering surface like the HKS ones?
  14. na but i have it slightly raised at the front on my airbox lid to let air comin over the headlight come in and also it has been cut underneath pod to let air in too. but i want to customize it again and have a fibreglass induction kit joined onto it to get better airflow, its one of those on going sorta things that can always be modified.
  15. na not really you can still hear the mad induction noise the HKS pods make, probably would be louder without it...
  16. i have a custom made heat shield around my pod filter to prevent heat soak...
  17. does anyone know if there is nismo spec coil packs which are better than the normal OEM ones?
  18. very very interesting, good read actually... you would think HKS being a leading brand in performance bits it would prove to be the best... there are some pointers to be considered after reading this article definatly.
  19. i would recommend that anyone who has or uses a foam style filter like my hks one to change your foam elements as often as they are supposed to be changed for maximum performance and protection (i replaced mine with a dry 3 layer element), not a good idea to just clean and put back in or re oil ect. pics below
  20. $1200 a set! jeeeesus! what places stock OEM coils? or any OEM products for that matter... are they a product that has to be shopped for overseas?
  21. MSD and crane ect. do they make them for imports ect.? i thought they are more for v8's ect. also by the sounds of things people have had problems with both JJR and splitfire coil packs, has anyone had similar or any problems with the OEM packs???
  22. yeah it wouldnt go down well if they pull you up to bust you for your bonnet lights and notice you have them in your car and bust you for them too...
  23. na... wont hurt. i had 17inch volk rims with stock struts, stock suspension and stock compressed springs and i have upgraded to 20s. hasnt in anyway affected the cars performance or handling, but it would pay to stiffin suspension with some shorter shocks and sport springs, car tends to scrape the inside of the front wheel wells when hitting dips on the road. also when putting rims on the front you wouldnt be able to slide a piece of paper between the wheel and the struts hehe!. 19s should fit no problem in the back and as far as the front goes selecting the size of the tire will determine if you will scrape on the inside of the guard knowing you have stock suspension gears...
  24. if they are alloy coloured rims a bodyworks can paint them in 2pac for around $80, thats what i was quoted about a year back... where did you get your rims fixxed? did they recommend a place for painting or powder coating?
