the best advice i can give you is to buy a cb250, as your a learner your new to the biking lifestyle your more than likely to have an accident i know i did and it wasn't even my fault. cbr250rr are overpriced import that is close to 20years old, these bikes are imported given a lick of paint and sold as a newish bike there nothing wrong with that but its like buying a skyline.
im in a similar boat but i have a safe tune until i have time to take it to the dyno. i have Uprated fuel pump
updated 660cc injectors Apexi Power FC ECU GT35 BB Turbo, and i get about 200kms to the tank driving like a granny .
Mazda , i had one for my first car it was an astina. i would do over to 400km's a tank being thrashed and it cost $40 to fill up, it never broke down, and it was easy to work on.
ford and holden will always play catch up, why else did they change import laws because you could import a better car from overseas for less than buying a Aus delivered.
to paint your rims you will first have to clean them with thinners to remove all dirt/crap. then sand them with 400wet and dry. then apply a good undercoat once it has dried sand again with 400 wet and dry remember to apply water to the rims. leave it to dry completely. now your ready to paint have your chosen paint ready to use. apply several lite complete coats to achieve a good result. and finish with a coat or to of clear. hope that helps
yes i'm number 2, anyways i picked up the car form trojan the bill came to around 2k, and got the car transfered into my name. I passed road worthy like a breeze thanks to removing half of the goodies and that is left is to get a dyno tune as its running a little rich.
"Headlight Lens Restoration Kit" from auto one works. we tried it on my sisters supra, the kit contains several pieces of wet and dry and a buffing solution. it works by removing a thin layer of plastic and then buffing it out. we noticed that longer time spent the better the result.
Enjoy your new car man! and like I said when I sold it to you - get some new tyres!!!!! i don't want to see a picture of the car in a newspaper twisted around a tree... be safe, take it to a skidpan and learn the feel and responsiveness and you'll have some fun
cheers matey..
no problems, as for tyres i spent about 1k haha that should hold me to the ground . as for the skidpan next time ACT SAU has one i'll be there
Thanks Theo
i think you mean 10/60, un less your engine is very worn and has high K's. drain that and go buy some proper oil like a 7.5/40W or as close you can get.
cameral wheel, its a rubber wheel that attaches to a drill and removes all glues, stickers, and the like without damage to paint. they can be bought at panel beaters supplier's. just remember not hold the wheel in one spot as it will burn your paint
or you could have someone reporting your car to police, the general public seems to think if it looks fast he must be speeding. i had a the same problem a year ago, the only way i solved it was selling the car and buying a different one. since then no drama's.
