well, its only the fault of the australian manafacturers in the first place i guess... im from england and there they embrace imports as competition... there it was alot easier to import cars, i bought a merc in germany and brought it to england the next day paying near nothing for tax... and the english car companies are now forced to compete, which is what they are doing...its not fair to force the public to buy a lesser product

beg to differ mate... protecting local industry i agree with, however to do so, the companies must be competative... The laws are in place to bias the customers to buy australian made cars, which are of a lower quality and less cost effective than alot of the imports.... Even in bloody england cars are less than half price... who are they kidding

when i was there, i heard about a lad who kept the car in storage for 3 months, then shipped it to australia via samoa... and apparently theres a kinda loop hole there, would anyone be able to elaboreate on that.... The savings are HUGGEE like, heres some of the deals that struck me... a nice r32 turbo like mine for 7 grand.. and thats not one off.... mr2s for around 7, wrx stis for around 13-16.... i mean, who are the australian government joking with here??

hey mate, yeh i just got back from auckland a few hours ago, and i absolutely loved it, ull have a mad time, theyre all so friendly and its a beautiful country, i just wish i could have had a bit more time there... The first thing that struck me was the amount of cars which we regard as rare here.. on their streets.... like evos are common as muck!! as for mod laws i really dont know, but pretty much every second car on queen street had apexi computers for show for all, loud ass exhausts and they were dumped to the ground... Yeh thats me in the pic, my mate bryan tanti, who looks after cars for lyndsay fox allows me to mess around there.. that cars a beast, but i also liked sitting in the r32 bathurst classic beast

hey guys, i have an r32 gtst. I find in the morning when its cold it misses a bit on warm up, whilst im driving it just jumps a bit, and wen it idles it pops alot...also when i let off the accelerator then tap back on it again it seems to miss... i recently installed a new o2 sensor, and got my afm cleaned, i also recently got it dynoed.... ive noticed a squeek in wat seems to be the pulley for the alternator... could this be the problem, if not, could somone put me in the right direction in terms of what to check. thanks

was dragging a v8 commodore (leaving for dead) tonight and all of a sudden, bamm i must have hit a pothole, sure enough i have a dent on my nice enkei rim now! does anyone know if it can be repaired and if so where abouts around melbourne, thanks alot guys

yeh a mate of mine cleaned it for me, my car has been trouble since the day i bought it but i wouldnt swap the thing for anything, damn this lure, id be blinging if it werent for hte car.... well ill fit a new o2 sensor tomorow, see if that cleans it up, im gettin it dynoed this friday, so he should be able to see where the problems coming from

yeh, i dont think its my head gasket cos theres no white smoke, just a shitload of black smoke, i think its cos the o2 sensor is making it run fat, and burning alot of petrol, and theres no water in my oil, visibly... i hope its not the head gasket, cos thats mucho worko getting to it, ey? having said that i do seem to have an oil leek at the passenger side firewall side..on hte block a bit...

yeh, idle is nasty and mainly when cold it does it a bit when im driving in low revs ie 1-3 rpm.... i think ill change the o2 sensor, i changed the plugs and ran injector cleaner already...

ok, u guys scared me shitless, i aint doin now... u reckon u guys could help me out with another problem... my car pops alot during idle, and idles very roughly, also it missfires alot, u reckon its my 02 sensor?

can anyone give me some pointers on changing my cam belt...never done it before, pics or tips would help heaps, thanks guys
