  1. I cant claim to sub 65s,but i have run 68s on street tires(205/15bridgestone G3),run hillclimbs, drags, motorkhanas on a tune by SST 2 years ago.No its not a RB25. Wander around the pits at Barbagallo raceway and note the number of yellow SST stickers on cars in most classes.
  2. ooooooohhh...Sean is getting serious now......look out for tens real soon
  3. You maybe right about the cruise control. The car was an DR30 RSX with n/a FJ,auto, cruise, power windows, mirrors etc etc Ive still got the auto box but it soon tired when i put my turbo donk in front of it.
  4. I would like to think so but i dont think you drop that much power through a manual box.
  5. My throttle body is from an FJ20E and was auto.It has 2 tps plugs on it for the auto trans. The second plug is the variable type tps that you need.Maybe some other factoy TBs from automatics will fit.The XF TB is a cut and shut job.My engine is close to 400bhp and it poses no prob(im also using wolf ecu)
  6. Strap a big GT series turbo and external gate on your line and you will be a grinner once more. :boinkcar: Besides your new Ford(or holden) will spend so much time back at the dealership for warranty work and depreciating so fast you will be no happier.
  7. The vehicle speeding has a red dot on it.Yep ive seen it They are trick cameras which is why they spew when you pull over, remove your jack handle and walk back to smash it to pieces.
  8. Good luck with the move guys.Hope the new shop has a carpark If there are any FJ20 bits lying around you cant be bothered shifting just holler
  9. My 4 cylinder Skyline.
  10. I had to leave about 3pm Sunday.Troy,howdidyago? I saw a 12.6,very well done son.
  11. After last months sprint day at wanneroo, which consisted of 5x 2 lap runs, the Bendix ultimate pads i where using performed patheticly. They overheated, turned to charcoal and glazed/overheated my rotors(DBA slotted). I had been using the cheapest road version Endless pads(from Xspeed) and could not complain at all about them. For you mums Camry,go for Bendix. (yes i have Skyline 4pots on my R30) Todd
  12. I wasnt comparing the weight of an SR to an FJ.Pick up an SR block and then an RB....... What needs fabrication? My FJ makes 400bhp with stock throttle body, intake and exhaust manifolds and stock cylinder head.Im scared to think what power it would make with mods. :headspin:
  13. Have you considered an SR20? Nice and light, parts a plenty and can produce the numbers. Why add weight to your car.I have thought of an SR or even a 20B,but my FJ never ceases to amaze me.
  14. You got it.Clearances are tighter and the pistons expand less.Years ago you would have had a heavy breathing, rattling donk with limited life. Its all good now
  15. I didnt fit the pistons to gain 100cc,it was to gain stronger pistons. As for torque, not many would test the increase from the piston size increase alone, because the boost is usually wound after fitment. The FJ is a torque animal with people fitting RB25 gearboxes behind them.
  16. Im using Arias pistons(80thou over) and are availible from Rocket industries.Forged pistons nowadays(mine anyway) dont rattle cold because of higher silica content, hence some factory built motors can now use them. Driving my car never ever leaves me wanting for more capacity....
  17. Wow Shane! Thats a sweet DR.Is it together and going with that clutch and turbo kit? Some exotic parts alright.Keep up the good work(and get that rocker cover painted Todd
  18. Now now, dont start. We could mention the plastic pistons and twigs for rods the RB's have. :fight!:
  19. Competition Coatings Brant St Kelmscott(were in Wandi)
  20. Thats gonna be a quick family truckster now! Nice work Troy.
  21. This early one still competes here in Perth. Not the model you refer to but cool anyways
  22. Sorry i dont know the kph,as the speedo only shows 180kph,and when your shifting at 8000rpm the speedo passes 180 in 4th gear.It has a 4.1 R200. One of the reasons its so exciting is the fastest part of the circuit is up and over a hill which means you have to brake on a short incline at the bottom of the hill...awesome.
  23. No mods needed....Wolf needs a reference hole drilled in the disc so it can see No1 position. Came 6th outright(55 entries) and second in class at the weekends sprint event.6000rpm in 5th down the straight is the best drug around.
  24. Ive got a missus with one child and another bun in the oven.Thank goodness for overtime at work! Doing a sprint day at Barbagallo raceway here in Perth tomorrow,so i hope to chop a few cars worth five times mine.Last year i was 1 second a lap quicker than an R32 Gtr with low mounts and semi slicks, all done in the mighty 30 with road tyres. This year i have more power and semi slicks on the back,so look out!
  25. My 89 R31 wagon has 345000K on the original motor and runs like a clock.
