  1. Yep GT30.I have recently fitted a smaller exhaust housing and it makes 19psi at 4300rpm.i also fitted some tomei cams and with these mods it spun 355rwhp on 19psi using BP98 pump fuel.Boy does she go now!

OK,first thing you must have is a test light.If you had a burning smell first check all your fusible links(on mine there is 3 at the battery and 4 at the fuse box) The fuse box (drivers side firewall) contains all your fuses and relays including your fuel pump relay.If all your fuses/fusible links are ok you should have power to all the relays and the fuel pump relay should click off after a few seconds with ignition on.If all is ok connect your test light to the fuel pump and with ignition on or engine cranking you should have power to the pump. Try that and see where you end up. Todd

  6. I made 320rwhp with 100% stock FJ20 with good turbo/wastegate,cheap cooler,s/hand 13B injectors,wolf ecu and a fettle by Steve Thomas at SST Automotives. Further mods have increased horsepower to a point it is tractionless. Todd

  10. Saturday July 17 is the next event at Wanneroo for the Enjo speed event series. You only need a basic Cams license and helmet.The day is run with timing eqipment and 4-5 cars on the track at one time that are spaced out so you are running the clock. WA sporting car club are the organizers.
  11. Raced my DR at Drag Combat last night here in Perth.Best i could manage was 12.7@119mph.
  12. rsx84 glad your up and running and it is looking sweeeeet! I know the pain a conversion causes.Well done. R30gtN/A i will not flame you either as ive considered that conversion myself.As the R30 has room for a six cylinder i was pondering a 20B. The 13B will fit behind the strut towers making a very good handling car.Make sure you shoot some pics when you can!

  15. I put S13 rear Tein coilovers(s/hand) in the back....easy. Tein are very stiff which is just the ticket for the DR squat. floddy the FJ gearbox is a tiny unit but ive been putting 380hp through mine.It is hard too shift at full power but it hasnt broke. Whats the go for twin plates for FJ? New ones availible?
  16. isnt there a external canister on the strut/shock assembly? Racing is dangerous but to be killed in the pits is terrible and sorry to hear.
  17. benny rebuild yours as any import donk is gunner need a build more than likely. 2.5K for a front cut is fair as SSS Automotive want $1800 for engine alone if they can get one.
  18. nicko in my work i drive around in a yellow van with flashing lights on the roof that comes to help when your car breaks down. In my work you quickly learn which cars are reliable and which are not. My advice would be to not buy a Calibra,Astra,Vectra etc etc. Ghostrider are those headlight globes the blue tinged ones you see on some late model beemers and such?The extra wiring/relays is a good idea with brighter globes.(watts divided by power(12v) gives your current draw).Most of the factory relays are not able to cope. Do you have any pics of your 30 for all to see? Regards Todd

  20. Crimmo nice work!Coming together well and should be a sweet ride. DR JOSH thats one dirty engine!I gather it came of the boat like that as a front cut i just bought was a little grotty also.What did it spin up on the dyno.(Mine also needed people sitting on the boot due to the ark age rear suspension)

Ive got the same trouble.I converted my R30 struts to a height adjustible coilover setup and found when i lowered it to where i wanted it i would lose all my shock travel.(so now its jacked up like a landcruiser). But i went to the susp shop for advice and he said he will replace the top mount(thick rubber housing the bearing) with a thin metal plate(my understanding) that will allow me to lower it and keep the travel. :looney:

  23. I bought a GT30 turbo,turbosmart wastegate,s/hand mazda injectors,hybrid intercooler and Wolf ecu.Thats it. Standard manifolds,head,cams,throttle body...all stock.It runs 18psi boost and BP98 fuel and is a rocket! I cant wait to fit my Tomei 272 cams and put 25psi into it!
  24. dr30man have you considered staying with the FJ motor in its turbo form.Take one out and bolt one in...simple.Same mounts,wiring,clutch g/box etc etc. Making 400hp at the crank on an FJ is a breeze and mine makes as much torque as any RB20 here in Perth.
  25. Got my camshafts thru Nengun(Brent),top service and very helpfull.It must be a pain in the ass with the emails,quotes,posting goods etc,etc.I take my hat off to him for doing what he does.
